    Divination

Yeah but Daemonheim has more lore than Divination, and that came without any promises (as far as I remember). Not to mention Runecrafting having more lore, or hell, Prayer, Herblore, Summoning and Slayer. Sure these skills have been around for a while, but even so, you kinda expect a lore-heavy skill to have, well, more lore than most skills. (anyway not arguing with you, just continuing the rant, as is appropriate)
  2. If there really is no solidarity or merchant unit for the last region, that's very disappointing. You can *maybe* keep one Kharadian exile around for triples, but that's about it. JoD would be better for duos and trios than the golem or the exile.
  3. Instead of excluding strength or removing it, it should become a general combat skill that boosts damage for all combat styles (naturally, that means it must be trained as constitution is) as well as a number of skilling methods (not just fly fishing). Anyway, prayer, constitution and summoning are included in the 138 formula, which alone makes it superior to the 200 formula in my opinion. The exact formula is up for negotiations, but the current one just has to go.
  4. Prayer doesn't actually boost combat by a lot, neither does summoning. The difference between 1 and 70 or 95 prayer is way more than nothing (as it is now) - having 8 or 11 extra combat levels for prayer is totally fair (at even stats, that works out to about 10% extra combat levels from prayer). Instead of attack + strength, the formula could use attack + .5 strength, as strength doesn't do all that much (doesn't unlock weapons). That would make classes even.

    Divination

Remember how they promised the skill would have lore? Or how it was going to be an old-school gathering skill?
  6. Well, it's not off-topic anymore :P. Split from 200m in all skills. I voted for the old 138 formula, I hope it'll be applied monster-wide as well :).
  7. ^What I'm doing on RS. Recruited a pearl diver, came with eagle-eyed and +20 personal sf bonus (at level 10 that's 2% better than base stats).
  8. It's broken for me as well, and more people report it on the forums as well.
  9. There is no off-hand Armadyl crossbow, Hedge, so no matter what, using an Armadyl crossbow is a bad idea. ^For reference, what Ping was talking about. @brad: I explained tiers already: Tiers work like this: Always use the highest level equipment you can. Use power armour. That's as simple as it gets.
  10. The difference is small, about 1%. That said, you buy rapiers at 20% charge, whereas claws start at 100% charge. To repair your rapiers, you'll need 2.4m gp (1.6 mh + 0.8 oh) or 240k gp and 24k tokens. Claws might also get a special attack soon, which is why they've gone up.
  11. There's no secret to runite cannonballs, they're just really expensive :P. At current prices, probably over 3k per shot.
  12. I'm not impressed at the fixes. Instead of making in-depth fixes, they're just adding a bunch more abilities. There are no new mechanics, no interesting things whatsoever. It's the typical Jagex unimaginative update coated with a load of 'we listened to you' nonsense.
  13. I don't think a guide like that exists. You have QBD and DKS as best solo moneymakers now, with drygores. I think most other bosses are best done with ascensions/seismics (Barrows 2, Vorago, Nex), although duo Nex with drygores is an option. KK might be good money too, I don't know.
  14. 2/4 slayer rewards bought (first two helm upgrades), need about 1000 more slayer points :(. Also hit the Loop, success on the island unlock and sent 400 terracotta from the Barmaid. First voyages today include 6 pearls and 6 koi, so let's hope those come in successfully :).
  15. As if the HLF thread is that biased... in case you're wondering, most of the answers consist of a list of dailies/weeklies (pengs, circus, warbands, ports, god statues, farming, challenges, sinkholes, everything!), slayer, bossing, dungeoneering, lots of bonfires/crystal trees and GE/bankstanding. Would those answers be totally different for non-HLF people? Certainly some skilling methods are not represented, but how many people do a specific method weekly? Most people just level something useful, and useful levels aren't a weekly thing.
  16. Not everybody who was getting 200m mining at the time was also getting 200m smithing or 200m magic. In fact, I believe only Suomi kept up superheating for such a long time that you could say he got 200 mine/smith there. Comparing 200m mining then to 200m mining now, it is now those 1500 hours (or whatever) faster, which is a massive increase in speed. Certainly, if you would have been training magic through mining, the increase would be lower (though still massive), but that's not what most people actually do. In fact, a lot of people who would never have dreamed of training mining are now training it - it's not just that mining is now 10x+ faster, it's that it's moved up the ranks of fast skills and settled firmly at the top. Also, when taking glacors into account, don't forget that 311 hours at glacors will make you about a billion gp, which is worth a decent amount of time as well (especially if you don't take donations or merchant, but it's still months worth of merchanting I believe, or a good starting capital).
  17. Hmm, looks like wisps are only worth it for cb/sf and triples, which is a bit disappointing... rallying cry is mostly useless, as there's almost no chance that you'll have sub-level-10 crew by the end of the Loop anyway, and next region they'll have practically no stat advantage over basic crew. They're basically more specialized pre-nerf Oxheads... Far more reasonable would be to keep Oxheads at 600 all (that way staying somewhat/theoretically valuable in the Loop) and giving Wisps a useful trait or group of traits, like Good Fortune + Opportunist + Rallying cry (all traits that are semi-useful but not worth keeping any kind of crew for). Simply giving Wisps +1% ship stats or the multi-talented trait or three random +100 traits would work as well.
  18. ... you are using elite void with an archer helmet? You realize that void is completely useless without the helmet, right? Tiers work like this: Always use the highest level equipment you can. Use power armour.
  19. Helmet scrolls do absolutely nothing. I've done several tasks with 100/100 or 250/250 scrolls in my helmet and not a single one activated. How it used to work, and how it should work, is that helmet scrolls activate randomly, for free (= not using up any special move points), thereby increasing dps, with the understanding that if your titan is on a low-health monster, the spec might go to waste.
  20. Just hit the loop and got a 400 terracotta mission from the Barmaid :). Also sent out my island unlock at 66%, yay. p.s. you get almost 3k chimes from 400 terracotta, it seems Jagex has fixed the imbalance between chimes/resources that exists in the Pincers. I would like to have more than 200k chimes now, though...
  21. Dual claws are best for melee, for ranged just stick with a royal crossbow for now, chaotic staff is basically the only affordable magic weapon (abs is also good, but still 3 tiers lower). In terms of improvements, whip to claws is the biggest, abs to staff second biggest, royal to ccbow smallest (being close enough to zero).
  22. Don't build the workshop until you have enough trade goods and the stats to actually make an item you want.
  23. Unlikely now, as the event has ended - at this point Jagex should not change anything, and I'm sure they realize it.
  24. I don't think he specifically wants a world without war. You can tell because he just participated in a war in order to kill a weaker god. Actually not really. Sometimes you accept as a temporary or transitional tactic something which you intend to eliminate in the long-run, nothing contradictory in that. Exactly this. If killing Bandos ends war forever, then the total amount of war will approach zero as time approaches infinity. A finite amount of war now may lead to a greater amount of war saved in the future. Armadyl has gotten a lot more pragmatic since the near-extinction of the aviansies.
  25. 4.4% critical isn't 4.4% damage, because abilities have minimum hits. Depending on the ability, criticals are either useless (Dismember, Combust), not very useful (Snap Shot) or, for simple 125% damage abilities, have an average of 128,125% weapon damage, versus a normal average of 78,125%, or about 65% higher average damage. I did forget about criticals, so that's 3% or so dps. Still very slightly in favour of zealots, but yeah... I wouldn't use zealots at bosses because the 9-15% defence reduction from Turmoil would exceed the 6% extra attack boost from Zealots. The only place where it'd be useful is some place like barraging armoured zombies, because you have 100% accuracy anyway.
