19-Jul-2010 - Dungeoneering Update
Pfft no. Best ive seen so far is a rune long. Heading back to slay now. They do drop visages though. Mod confirmed it. what about crimsons and effigies? oh and that was a really good point about pack yaks that the previous poster made =s I didn't even think about that. maybe prices might stabilize slightly higher than i previously anticipated :P

19-Jul-2010 - Dungeoneering Update
Jeez. Wonder what prices will be when they settle. Intuition says the income @ frost dragons will stabilize roughly @ around what slaying abby demons is these days. so i'm betting frost dragon bones will stabilize at around 12k-16k gp

19-Jul-2010 - Dungeoneering Update
you can cannon in the frost dragon dungeon, so presumably 150 kills per hour is possible for a maxed player after cost of supplies, that would be like 2-3 mil gp/hour, depending on what other drops the frost dragon has. that's comparable to freaking tormented demons >_<, i can't imagine these bones not crashing in the long run. I guess jagex decided prayer prices rose too high :)

Maging Abyssal Demons?
first of all, with proper equipment he could last 1 hour on 2-3 prayer potions(4) second of all, I've actually maged abyssal demons in full ahrims, and unless you plan on bringing a bunch of super def potions, bunyips aren't going to cover it.

Maging Abyssal Demons?
but you'll want to use a wolpertinger for mage level bonus (but i guess mono doesnt have that) oh and scratch the proselyte hauberk, i knew it gave a mage atk decrease, but -30 is a bit much. just use a monkrobe top instead. still id just use prayer because for beasts of burden, so you can at least carry some magic potions. that and deflect melee can boost your kill rate minisculy it's not like prayer will be more expensive than unicorns. You seem to severely overestimate the combat capability of abyssal demons- they aren't black demons, abyssals are one of the weakest melee monsters for their level. A bunyip will do just fine with max mage equipment, using an arcane stream would be very useful, other things are normal mage gear, ahrims, sol, mages book as you con't afford arcane, don't even need to use mage prayer. for the second time, the point is you'll want to bring either a wolpertinger or a beast of burden to carry some extra magic potions >_< jeez

Ranging waterfiends
rumour is that effigy drop rates are governed by charm drop rates :P waterfiends *could* be worthwhile, depending on their ranged def. I'm considering other options too right now, I just want some info on this one.

Ranging waterfiends
i'll probably use rune crossbow + karils, extreme range potions, and +15% range prayer, unless holy ranger and the new dung range prayer turn out to be worthwhile Er, isn't that not coming out till like, September? And you have no idea what costs are? Anyways, big factor is the prayer isn't coming out till the fall last I checked (unless I'm completely crazy) so, do you want to wait till the fall to kill them? lol i've been playing rs for 8 years now, I can wait half a year if I feel like it. that and money isnt an issue for me at all

EA/Activision Told Jagex To [bleep] Off
I once read a poll, where Bob Kotick was voted, unanimously, The single person from the game industry, that most gamers want dead. EA used to be hated that much by active gamers. but then Bob Kotick actually started messing up games serious gamers actually cared about. Now Activision takes the place of most hated game developer by more hardcore gamers. I'm glad both of them told Jagex to [bleep] off, even Jagex shouldn't stoop to their level.

Surge @ abbys
abby demons have horrible magic defense so you'll pretty much never miss. you can fire ~ 1000 surges per hour so that comes out to 118k -132k magic xp/hour depending on magic damage bonus. for fire surge

Rock climbing boots affecting RuneScape
sure, mathematically climbing boots are insignificant, but players still get ticked off on the principle of how that GP was introduced. It's just how humans are wired. Jagex should have accounted for that, because ultimately they can't change how humans think, so they should just live with it, instead of ignore it.

Training farming (starting at lvl 70)
don't do allotments, they're bad xp, and fairly expensive.

Alternative Dungeoneering world to w117?
w117 lags for pretty much everybody just recruit players from w117, then dung on a different world.
-
Is Augury Worth it?
not really, it only boosts mage accuracy and def. Defence isn't too important in general. and generally speaking, you won't be maging monsters with high magic defense, so accuracy is more or less useless.

Post and discuss all Jagex Twitter updates here!
It seems that way :( you guys remember the 1 big update + 2 small updates a month post that jagex made a while back right? we're supposed to have a no update week once a month now, but it only started this trend recently. I don't mind that, I just don't think jagex really fulfilled their part of the bargain on the 1 big update part.

Training farming (starting at lvl 70)
I have data here on how much gp/xp seeds will cost, and roughly how long it takes to reach each of the patches. It's up to you how much xp you wan't to get per day. Here are a few things i recommend to everybody who's training farming: I recommend you train with poison ivy starting at lvl 70 though. 1k XP and it never dies, and it earns a profit from selling the berries. You should do that more or less regardless of your income Same goes for picking cactus spines I won't advise you on what fruit trees, trees, and herbs to plant, and stuff like whether or not the trollheim patch is actually worth the walk. but hopefully that spreadsheet can help you out on that. if xp/day isn't an issue, orange trees seem to be the most efficient xp for fruit trees, at reasonable incomes.

Post and discuss all Jagex Twitter updates here!
I think Jagex was only talking about finding the dungeon, when they meant one-off reward. IE the first time you enter the dungeon, you get some xp But each subsequent time, you don't get any XP. like how you get bonus slayer xp w hen you kill bork for the first time. but all resources/monsters inside still respawn.

97 Fishing...
I recommend fish flingers too, especially at lower levels. the max xp you can get per minigame decreases, the higher your fishing level becomes. and it's fairly easy to reach the max, unless you're like lvl 10 fishing. you might as well get the tackleboxes, so you can store gold smithing gauntlets and cooking gauntlets in ur bank at the same time. its about 17k-19k xp per minigame each minigame lasts 15 minutes, but you generally want to be there 5 minutes early.

Before Jagex increases the level caps to 120 ...
it should be accurate, jagex leaked the actual combat level equation a while back.

Dungeoneering Solo vs. Group
The trend seems to be, roughly, a doubling of xp rate every 20 dungeoneering levels (or 10 floors) the rate at which the xp rate increases is slightly higher at lower levels than at higher levels though. *shrug* maybe someone cracked the xp equation for dung :P
