This was a half-baked fix to a broken forum system. Rather than getting a decent forum package that could sustain their activity and help]. them enforce a minimum quality in posts by enforcing their own rules, they split up the community so they don't have to worry about so many people. I'm more than a little upset. I suppose if this is the first step they have to take to fixing their systems, it's all well and good...but if this is any indication on how they intend to solve these issues...Well, RIP RSOF. The 50+ page monster still exists, spam is still abundant, trolling is a given, there's no effective way to report rule breaking posts, and so on. This fixes almost nothing.

These people existed in the past, though. It's not like propaganda is a new thing though. It's just that without an effective ranking system as a backbone, all there is is propaganda. Yet people whine. It baffles me. Why do clan officials play that 'game'? Some officials are tough as nails, can call to beat all hell, and make the smartest decisions to lead a clan...yet when it comes to ranks/tournaments/etc it seems like not a lot are willing to step up and try something new.

Disdain born from a stonewalling system of rankings in the yesteryears had left a long-lasting memory in the minds of many 'old-schoolers'. It's hard to remember a time when a ranking system was fluid and perfect because everyone shared a common goal: getting fights and having fun, showing strength by some good ol' classic 'Scaping. These old fogies have passed their hatred down the generations, creating their own 'social standard' for ranking refusal. Yet oddly enough, on the same side of the coin, people intently watch subjective rankings--then bemoan when people rank them higher/lower than they feel they should be as a means of 'propaganda'. Propaganda that, might I add, was driven by the opinion of a few and inevitably caught on/was spread. These are given a higher opinion because the community sets these things. It's a wonderful concept...in theory. This generation, however, knows the cruel reality of it: people are fickle and ill-informed. It personally reminds me of a very decrepit political information system in which biased media stations spout misinformation so they get elected. So why do we continually contradict ourselves like this? Why do we say we hate unbiased ranking systems yet we place so much stock in the very obviously biased community-ranked systems? Times change, and are we well overdue for one ourselves? Who will make the first step? What are your thoughts?

Really not a fan. There's so much empty space. And no I'm not referring to the space created by the new centering--I rather like that--but rather the very, very large logo and pretty art they put to flank the page. I would like it if they made up their minds as to which outdated resolution they're designing for.

I thought these items that were smuggled couldn't be equipped? Perhaps I read wrong. If they can be equipped and used then that's troubling indeed... :unsure:

It's completely possible, though I don't think they'd make an instance boss that'd drop items you could truly keep. Maybe that would instead drop and split into dungeoneering tokens, but not something you could exchange for coins. By the way Dungeoneering was so carefully designed and limited, it seems like they wanted this to have as little impact on the economy in the long run as possible.

It goes off the item's alch price IIRC, not the GE price. Sorry you lost your stuff. You can always use the "Items Kept On Death" button in the equipment menu to see what you'll keep and what you won't if you get confused.
