  1. That's a good logical conclusion; however, if you agree that dungeoneering as it first came out had minimal exp rewards that were not enough to 'actively train' these skills then why is it necessary to lower these further? Dungeoneering is trained by exploring through dungeons and utilize your skills to survive. You need these skills in order to be successful, so some marginal compensation is due. 1/10 was adequate. 1/50 is not.
  2. The median GE price minus his tradelimit or The median GE price minus his trade limit AND whatever junk he has to offer. Or you could just keep lending the whip to him every 24 hours until he gains enough money to buy his own. Those are the only two scenarios that I can think of. There might be other ways, so I'd wait for more responses.
  3. While they're pretty uncommon, I always found them better to sell rather than keep. While it's pretty cool that it seems like it can attack twice at once at random, it just can't reach that needed DPS after the first 7 floors or so. Plus Katagon is tier 8, which is pretty good, and spears are awesome.
  4. Closing now. Glad you figured it out. :)
  5. This has been my biggest issue with the Ring of Kin (or whatever that is) that allows you to navigate through the party interface. I understand there is only so much information you could jam into a tiny little menu, but I don't think the displays for Complexity, Floors, and Resetting should have been squished on the RoK menu. Had they given these things their own dedicated space, be it on the side menu or some other prominently displayed interactive item within Dungeonheim's lobby, there would've been more room for a better, more intuitive interface. And heck, if they did that, maybe they could even throw in a little blurb question if it was a Freminik NPC who controlled these things. Like asking it "Can you summarize Prestige for me?" or something. But TC, thank you for explaining this. I read over the KB quite a few times and still didn't get it. Not sure why, as I usually have good comprehension skills. Ah well!
  6. Beef never goes away. People have long memories and silly grudges. But I'd be willing to bet if an ex-2m attempted to join RE he wouldn't be declined, all else held constant.
  7. Are you sure is not just lag? So are you are unable to attack the NPC at all or you can only attack it after clicking several times? 100% positive. This has happened on multiple occasions. I click it once, nothing. Spam click, nothing. Click several times with pauses in between clicks, nothing. I've tried multiple combination. Someone in the HYT chat told me to log out if it starts happening, as it generally fixes the problem. It does. It's annoying.
  8. I'm dreadfully tired of the no-attack glitch. I've had to restart a dungeon several times because when I clicked Attack NPC, nothing happened. And yes, I was wielding a weapon that did'nt require ammo.
  9. Could you go into detail about these things in hide tags? I'm really intriuged--but others might get grumpy if they don't find it out themselves. :ohnoes:
  10. I'll be completely honest: I haven't played it yet. My initial impressions, even after reading through the KB, are that this is just an extremely complex minigame that doesn't have grinding and solves Runescape's 'instanced dungeon' issue...except all these items are untradable. The amount of work put into this is phenomenal. It looks impressive. But when I hear "Dungeoneering" I just can't help thinking Dungeons and Dragons. And, heck, when that happens I sort of start to froth at the mouth a bit and lash out irrationally...Ah well. Off to try it, still disgruntled.
  11. They actually made a thread to compile information about all these in-game crashes. It's happened to me a few times too. Luckily, I wasn't in such a perilous situation..but if I had been....hoooo boy. :( Here's the QFC for all those interested: 25-26-600-60746456
  12. Themooingcow666, I've merged your thread "Best update ever o.O" into this one, as you're more likely to get a better response to your comments here. :)
  13. Wow, I thought you were just trolling when I saw that in IRC. I'm actually a little sad heh. There aren't a lot of dutch clans out there, and when such a prominent clan like 2m closes...it's almost like a little bit of destruction of an identity. Where are most of the 2m members gonna go? Do you know, Nox?
  14. What specifically can Jagex do that will help the clan world flourish? Close the gap between fansites and Runescape so we can actually get new blood into the ranks. How can Jagex help advertise the clan world, to help raise awareness to new players about the clan world? Well I think they took a great step in the right direction. Mod Timbo and the rest of the Clan-oriented Jmods have been doing blogs on the clan world that get great exposure on the front page. Not to mention the clan celebration month (though I have seperate gripes with that event.) But the fact that clans can't recruit ingame, there's no rs hosted memberlist system, they can't maintain effective chat systems thanks to no shared ban list, etc there's not a lot they can do. We can't integrate with them because our key items (TS, IRC, private forums) are against the rules. They don't have to integrate with us. They can on some levels, but it would require a lot of changes on Jagex's part. It's not something that would happen immediately. But if they did plan these updates, I wish they would say so. Because we're all flying blind. What events (other than an annual tournament) can/should Jagex host that will help the clan world realise that they care? Well they have been hosting events, but they're so big and overcrowded that it's hard to feel any 'intimate connection'. Not to mention the events they've been hosting seem geared for lower leveled combat clans. The big event that they use to reach out to the stronger and more established clans is the Cup. And lets be honest, it's the only thing we really care about. I doubt anyone's gonna go to a Jagex hosted trawler trip or something.
  15. I didn't even realize that gigantic castle was there just east of Clan Wars. I definitely hope it's either a good quest or a good boss monster. Though I hold little hope for new boss monsters thanks to all the turmoil/overload'ers out there that could easily crash/camp for ages.
  16. Because some people care about more than just doing what is easy, expedient or immediately self-serving. And Jagex "asked" Tip.it to do this in the same way that you would "ask" an unruly child to clean his bedroom -- do it or suffer the consequences. Except not, as has been explained countless times throughout the thread. At this point if you still feel the way you do, you're going about it the wrong way. If you want to cause change, you should be contacting Jagex, Administrators of fansites, etc. Not posting the same overdiscussed points (that have mostly been disproved, might I add) throughout the life of this thread. I admire your fire and your sense of injustice, but it is impotent when you direct it in such a manner.
  17. Jeison, please post these topics in the Wars & Runin's forum in the future.
  18. Whats worse is Mythic knows about it but the charges keep happening, this also includes PREVIOUSLY CANCELED ACCOUNTS. My friend is now -$675 and some cents waiting the 1 to 2 days for his bank to sort this out. Assuming he used a credit card and not his debit card, he could look into filing a chargeback. Unfortunately, that'd take a bit of time too.
  19. My thoughts exactly. The demand exists for it and merchanters don't help the situation. You can save a bit of money by going to the Ectofunctus, or using babydragon bones instead on altars. But with prayer training, expect a hefty pricetag associated with it for quite a while.
  20. Banks will usually refund any overdraft charges if it's not the fault of the account holder. The problem with that, though, is it's red-tape, customer service hell getting them to finally do so...Because you have to get Mystic to admit fault and then wait for their financial dept. to follow up on it. I feel really bad for those who play their account balances close to the chest. I know I've floated a check or two in the past while waiting for my paycheck to clear--it's just stuff you do to get along. I hope people get refunded and get some sort of compensation. For me? I'd personally never play that game again. Sure it's a tiny bug that might never happen again, but I wouldn't want to take the chance.
  21. I couldn't agree more with this article and I am so disappointed I didn't read it sooner. Damn finals. The biggest issue I have with clans and Runescape is that there is no way to bridge the gulf between offsite/fansite and Runescape. It's a good way to get a mute or a ban by mentioning your forums. And it's damn near impossible to keep a proper recruitment topic going on the RSOF--it just has too much activity for such a short cutoff. (Let's not even get into how their forums are rather weak compared to even some of the most simple and free forum packages out there like, hell, Invisionfree). Not to mention the fact that a lot of information within clans need to be kept private to prevent the more ill-minded players from spoiling your trip/war/game/event. I don't necessarily agree with some of these suggestions as there's just too many security issues and have been tried in round-about fashions in the past--like dummy accounts being used as a bank back in free trading days, clan halls such as meetings held in the second floor of the old Mansion in Falador. But the premise that there is a dreadful lack of support for ALL types of clans is just something you can't avoid. You can hate clans all you want, you can think it's part of the 'group think' mentality (and be wrong, might I add, but that's beside the point), but when you max out your favorite skill or you get bored of your favorite minigame and you have nothing else to do, clans are always there to create new and fun experiences out of the same old content you've been stuck with for the past whatever years you've been playing.
  22. This is true, as a result She would probably get probably get a Rainy Day substitute, but don't tell her that! How lucky then that Mr. Mime learns Substitute.
  23. Meh, most people retire/join equally. I don't think there'll be a huge shake up like we're hoping. I think you'll see more shake-ups in the top 20 than you will in the top 10. [hide][/hide]
  24. ...Abs as our new Clan Moderator! You might've already seen her posting in her spiffy new lime-green coloring. ;) She's been a great asset to the staff and the community and this promotion was well deserved. Grats dear!
