i dont get it? how do you low alch ore into gold ore? I could have sworn that for a while, when you used alchemy spells it turned them into gold and not GP. But maybe I'm mistaken. I remember alching something that I should've been certing. Perhaps it was the silver I was supposed to be certing, and I was alching other things. It's been 5 years, cut me some slack please :-# Not all of us have astounding memories. '-' (EDIT: 5? 6? I forget that, too! It was before I started dating, so somewhere after 5 years, but probably below 6)

A sad excuse for Jagex unfairly banning players who gained XP normally. Their criteria for catching players who they think participated in the glitch is nothing short of stupid. Actually, in anything that was big in RS history with a glitch, they claim that they punished the players fairly when in fact they didn't, because they don't want to waste time looking into who did what and when and where. Well, firstly they said it was temporary while they manually sift through the banned accounts. AND they're doing it as we speak, which shocked me. I thought people were going to have to wait until the next business day for these manual reviews to be processed. Already an innocent TIF'er, G_P_Kid, was unbanned. (He admits to this on another thread, see "Mass banning for penguins?".)
-
Ughhh. People shouldn't HAVE to wait. For the innocent, this is absolutely asinine. EDIT: First post for the lulz. EDITEDIT: Apparently they're working out manually reviewing accounts as we speak...my bad! I thought that the people wrongfully banned would have to wait all weekend. Boy am I glad I didn't make an [wagon] out of myself on the RSOF >.>

Its the same that you get crystal bow/shield? Yes, you're thinking of the right pair of Elves. Eluned is the female. EDIT: Here is a map http://www.tip.it/runescape/quest2/map_ ... nnwn_7.PNG The quickest spot to get to, I've found, is by using the Charter Ship to travel to the Tyras Camp and walking east(ish, follow the paths) to the Llyeta area. Eluned and her companion spawn just a little south of the entrance to Llyeta. EDITEDIT: It's only the fastest way, however, if you don't have a spare teleport crystal. If you have a spare, then just use it :3

I spent a lot of time mining ore in al kharid and then using low alchemy to turn it into gold ore. Then I sold it to the General Shop, rinsed and repeated. . . I did that until got 10k...took forever o_O Then my friend told me I could be turning them into certs and making loads of cash... :(

So what really is native to Gielinor?
Kimberly replied to OutwarDragon's topic in General Discussion
In meeting history, didn't the humans enter Gielinor via a portal--presumably opened by Guthix? -
I saw your vid dude. -.- You mean the one where he was really just recording the confusion, and when he clicked on the penguin, he didn't get any points for it? Yeah, I saw that vid too. What's the "ugh" face for then? People need to stop making this into a witch hunt of liars.

Does Void Set (Mele)+Salve Amulet (e) Stack?
Kimberly replied to Dire_Wolf's topic in Help and Advice
Alright then, my bad. Just so I'm not taking neither you nor soul on your word alone, I looked up the bonuses of each item. So it's possible that the attack bonuses of both void and salve don't stack, but other stats are in effect, or it just automatically chooses one over the other. I have no idea which, but I've had one person now say that they noticed more EXP difference when wearing Void+salve, and another that noticed less when they wore prolesyte+salve. So I guess unless more conclusive tests are done, you've got to take your pick, SirHemen. -
If you're referring to the ongoing lag investigation in the Tech Support forum on the RSOF, I doubt they'd even allow it to continue if they didn't care. Honestly though, now the players have more weight behind their opinions that it's NOT their ISP ever since Google came out with their throttle detection program (you can google it). People should probably look into running it and posting the results on that thread... Anyway, majorly off topic. Regardless if it was a temporary ban or not, honest players are losing money--REAL money, not pixleated gee pees--from not being able to play.

It was a glitch that appeared temporarily on Wednesday. Read here for more details: viewtopic.php?f=30&t=781144

Does Void Set (Mele)+Salve Amulet (e) Stack?
Kimberly replied to Dire_Wolf's topic in Help and Advice
No problem, I had similar questions and the guide that came from was what motivated me to get full void melee. ;D -
You also don't need nightshade or rock cakes to get back in. You can just click on the cave entrance, go through the dialogue, and go blue-slaying away ;D

Does Void Set (Mele)+Salve Amulet (e) Stack?
Kimberly replied to Dire_Wolf's topic in Help and Advice
One of the first starting Armoured Zombie guides said they did. I'll try to dredge up the link. EDIT: viewtopic.php?f=180&t=767739 -
Quite possibly the worst way to go about doing things from a community standpoint, and the best thing to do from a programming standpoint. Still you have to wonder if they couldn't have devised a way to better handle this situation. Like take a copy of the current XP of all accounts in question, log them, and ban them after further investigation. Now these paying members are going to be losing 2+ days of membership without compensation on the busiest time of the game week--the weekend.

I think the main thing is that I don't think you've said yet: Is it appeal-able and if so, have you sent in your appeal yet? If you actually WATCHED the video, you'd see that every time he clicked on the penguin it said, "You have already spotted this penguin spy." I don't think he was bug abusing then, in that case. Moreso recording the chaos, which he even states he was doing just that in the video description. Perhaps you saw a different video than everyone else...

Iddison resigns as Jagex CEO, replaced by Mark Gerhard
Kimberly replied to me's topic in General Discussion
Resignation is a fancy word for, "Get out now before we fire you and you can't get unemployment." No, but personally I didn't like the direction that Runescape took when under Geoff's "reign" so to speak. Perhaps not all of the "member teaser" ideas came from him when he was a CEO, but I can't imagine he didn't have a hand in it. Is anything known about this new CEO? He seems pretty fresh into the company without a lot of history in gaming. He must be exceptional at what he does to jump up in ranks so quickly. Is this choice made in hopes of "securing" more advanced ways against credit card fraud, given his extensive history in security? Hmmm. -
I would sell your Saradomin Sword. The extra 3k exp per hr is insignificant, and you can use the left over money to go into a Fury and more supplies. I'd personally stick with the warrior ring to get the best bang for your buck. And try to get "Barrows" Gloves from RFD if at all possible. They're quite handy. Some people have already mentioned popular spots such as Spiders, slayer tasks, and monkey guards. In terms of EXP rates (correct me PLEASE if I'm wrong): 1. Monkey guards w/ piety (best) 2. Spiders 3. Slayer tasks (worst for pure strength exp)

Grandmasters Guild please? That is all. \

The best way to deal with it is stop panicking about the value of your items. If they're something you use on an everyday/weekly basis, they're worth whatever you paid for at market value.
-
It's been long overdue to publicly recognize some of their oldest players with something like this. I've missed the boat, since I no longer have access to RSC, but lots of my friends would love this!

Fair enough, even though I disagree since Junk Trading is causing inflation to be worse. Forgive me, but that's exactly what I was saying. Or at least, what I meant to say. Sorry if I wasn't clear on that. I don't believe that the Street Value is the true market value anymore, I agree with you. But since the GE is not fixed, these can and do distort the prices. Which is why "street values" are so horribly wrong. No, it's not a word you'd find in the dictionary  It's slang. Regardless, I completely disagree with you. The reason why merching clans weren't a threat BEFORE the GE is because the market was not dictated by computer logic. The demand created is founded on the basis of a scam. While it is still legitimate "demand", once people start dumping their items, the prices crash to an even lower value than they were before with relatively the same amount of supply. It's just money changing hands, not demand or supply changing, that causes the prices to fall or rise at that point. I agree, but that's not really what I was arguing against. I'm aware that as goods become easier to obtain, whether through actual production or through trading, that prices will go down to compensate. And I agree, that would be a rather good idea to do. It would probably solve a lot of the GE's fundamental problems. However, while I agree that these would fix the broken GE, they would also re-open the opportunity for RWTing/Item Manipulation/...which is why these changes will not happen most likely. Which is something I've already addressed in my previous post.

Special attacks of the four godswords?
Kimberly replied to 60DefenceMelee's topic in General Discussion
/thread. I don't really have much to contribute, except that to the everyday average player, godswords aren't that significant. Only the PK'ers or hard-core boss hunters really care about them. The people who think they're worth the extra 10k str exp per hour for training, in my opinion, either have too much money or are fooling themselves. -
I find it highly unlikely that they'll take a player suggestion for entire skill, regardless of how much detail has been put into it.
-
That's not quite feasible either. Neither the GE nor the "street price" can be taken as proper "supply vs demand" prices because of how many variables have to be taken into account. Inflation, as you mentioned; junk trading, as is the crux of this topic; trading limits, which have been also mentioned by you and others; merchanting clans, who are helping drive the final nail into the GE coffin; countless other things that we could take WEEKS into nitpicking over. Basically, the moment Jagex actually HAS to go in and manually change prices to match the demand for that item and the item in question's scarcity, there is already a gross problem. And because they've already done this, the evidence of this problem is growing and growing. It's kind of hard to let strict logic dictate market trends because a flat, "This increase/decreases +-5% if it is bought or sold x-amount of times." because it only looks at one aspect of the transaction. It does not take into account the supply, or the scarcity of that item. It does not take into account demand. If it did, prices would be even more easily manipulated than they are now. The simplest answer would be either to remove all limits altogether, or remove the GE restrictions on certain items--I think Acenator referred o them as "price floors?" Anyway...This cannot happen. Why? Item manipulation, GE manipulation, RWTing! Oh noes!@! This is why Junk Trading has gone on for so long. Contrary to common belief, Runescape developers are not dumb. Why do you think they haven't really actively done anything to stop it? I propose that they know of this "junk trading dilemma", much like they know of BH-transferring between friends, and they simply allow it to exist. This keeps legitimate players happy, and the bulk of ILLEGAL RWT'ers (those who use stolen credit cards) out of business. tl;dr: Jagex has essentially two options to fix the GE. One might work, infeasible as it might be, the other is impossible. Since they're choosing not to do the the possible option, they're making the conscious decision to allow Junk Trading to continue; therefore, they don't care about junk trading. So really, what's all the hub-bub, bud?

I still can't agree with your bank value argument. You value your bank by the total GP worth of all your items, right? That's lovely. You're in the minority. Most people determine bank value by items that can be easily sold or bought with pure cash. Because of this, junk trading has thrived. You think it's a stupid process, I get that. But until certain common junk items finally has a DEMAND for them, the price of those junk items won't go down. And since they won't go down, there's no point even putting them in the GE and wasting a valuable selling slot. So again, this whole argument hinges off a moot point: the value and demand for junk items.
