YOu could make the Magic Essance potions from the Fairy Tale part 2 quest. You get your own items for it, so it's technically free. The only problem is it's not exactly fast :P. It's only cheap.

-looks at current Broad Bolt prices- .... -get's confused by the topic- Broad bolts haven't really gone up in price much, so I don't see why the profit at aviansies would be diminished. At good levels, 500-600k an hour profit is pretty average.

You also get to use the rune saving effect of the SoL when using Fire Surge over CoG. It's a very accurate spell, and is only weaker by a few numbers. the staff also gives you a greater magic defence to help against the spinolyps while killing rex.

Wilderness if you have a Lava Titan.

DFS would only be worth getting if you need to tank slayer tasks. Claws have a good special, and it's even better on slayer tasks in Kuradal's dungeon. Unless you're constantly strugling with low hp, keep the claws, and save up more so you can just buy the DFS straight up.

Wearing good prayer gear with a Bunyip/Uni + an EE/SGS to heal from thier occasional magic atks is good enough. It is possible to tank them with a unicorn, but you'd almost be spamming your unicorn, and if they get magic happy, you wouldn't last long. They do have a lot of hp, so keep in mind each kill will take awhile, resulting in a good number of prayer potions being used. Good luck on getting a SoL

I wore full mystic, used protect from melee, and used fire blast. He wasn't really that bad. Don't forget to pray melee while walking past the ice wolves though, they hit hard. Same with killing the 5 ice trolls.

It only takes my 1 potion for Anti-Poison++ and 1 super set to get through a task of these killing the soilders. Not cannoning, no prayers, no familiars. They're so easy to hit, and rarely hit me. Why do so many people hate this task? oh...and use a Whip btw.

Lucky boy I'm still on my ?* task long dry streak. *= After I got ff13 I started pking, and since then, I has lost count of how many sols/dry streaks I've gotten. So far I've had 4 tasks of these, it's pretty nice that after not getting some, I get two in one task Funny thing was, I was talking to someone on a Vent Server, they were talking about how a friend of theirs got two in a task. I get my first staff, then the person next to me killing Ice Strykes get's 2 within 4 kills. Got my second one at about 2/3 through my task

Needless to say, I was a happy Slayer Today.

The way I see it, you should always do a task if it's your first one of that monster, then decide from your experience during that task wiether it's worth doing again in the future. I've never actually fought TerrorBirds myself (outside of that quest), as I use Kuradal, so I can't really tell you a good way to fight them :mellow:

What I feel most people would consider the "golden age" as would be the time frame from when RS2 came out, and the Trade Limit/Wildy updates So 2003-2007

Get an explorer's ring 3, and use the rimmington mine. Use the ring tele, then use the entrena dock deposit box for banking. There is also usually less people at the rimmington mines, so it's much less frustrating to mine there.

Black hide does have a higher range atk bonus though.

Also, using Bursts or Barages on 6 of them at once would also gain a lot per hour.

^ the comparison to ZS and SS at Waterfiends is debatable. Since the ZS has a higher Crush Bonus, where the SS has a higher Str Bonus.

The whip + Defender is always better then the SS unless you plan to train only str, or need the crush bonus, no matter what your levels are. I actually will compare my killing speed with other slayers using SS, and ever since I've had 70 atk, my whip beats people using an SS nearly 90% of the time. I also prefer training on Controlled over any other style anyways, just personal preference I suppose. I also prefer the Zamorakian spear for crush over the SS, but that could honestly go either way. The ZS has a +5 crush bonus over the SS, the SS has a +8 str bonus over the ZS. I guess it just depends which you find most worth using.

doing the quest now will also save you from having to drop any future clues that lead into the Jungle. There are 3 clues that go there, so chances are you're going to have to go there again eventually

Technically, the best is Corrupt Dragon armour. But you'd be stupid to buy it (except for things like the Battle Axe for Pking) So for melee Full Rune (with Berzerker shield) Rune Scimitar/Longsword for weapon For mage Any Elemental Staff for weapon The combat or Druidic robes from FOG, I forget which is better For range Maple Short Bow for weapon. Full Green D hide with a FOG coif

Blocking tasks only takes 100 points, aquanites are a slow and annoying slayer task The only thing I can understand going for here is the Ice Strykewyrms. Anyways, I'm pretty sure Mach would be the fastest way, as his tasks are shorter and weaker.

For any combat training, I recommend Slayer. As for magic, Stunning is good XP/Hr, and fairly cheap with SC hats.

Kill Goraks, collect the claws. Then collect StarFlowers Mix them into Magic Essence potions. It's 100% free (kinda) (hey, you said cheapest, not fastest :P) Also, some herbs profit when you clean them, then sell them back. But prices always change, so be sure to check beforehand.
