  1. I have clicked login, the screen went black, and nothing's happening...
  2. I'm reading through the patch notes. Obviously if you give everyone a spin of the wheel for their xp/gp it will only cause inflation, so aside from suspense it doesn't really provide much. Also, where is the aforementioned "Game FAQ?" I see to be missing it.
  3. Never mind-here we go.
  4. Welcome (back) to RuneScape-if you want you can always talk to me. I'll add you :). If you dig through the rules you will see giving it to a friend and having that friend give it to another profile. I believe drop trading also violates them. One phrase I remember is that your accounts may not interact in any way. Anyway, I would advise against it.
  5. There is now an option to "Set-trap young seedling" near the Gamer's Grotto on free-to-play worlds. Clicking it yields a message that the player needs 60 Summoning to catch squirrels.
  6. It may be that haters are going to hate. First, the older players trained skills essentially for free thanks to botted resources, and then anyone with sufficient capital stood to profit substantially when the suppliers of those resources died out, by buying them up.
  7. Hopping worlds works fine...until the problem recurs ten minutes later.
  8. Randomness is probably to check its efficacy as a marketing tool, and to prevent a bunch of "testers" like us from signing up for it when we wouldn't buy P2P on that account anyway.
  9. Thank you-mystery solved.
  10. One could artificially put high level players onto the same playing field as med level players by placing a handicap on them in the form of restricting their damage, gear, and stats within a specific area. For example, a new area could cut all combat stats to level 50, disallow any armor with higher requirements, and reduce maximum lifepoints and prayer points to 500. Another deterrent could involve sharply reducing or eliminating XP gain from normal combat inside these areas, with the idea that high level players would be unable to quench their thirst for XP and hence choose voluntarily not to dominate the spot. Similarly, one could elevate med level players to higher level players, although requirements for armor and weapons may prove more difficult to deal with. However, player sentiment and the amount of coding required seems to render such changes infeasible for the time being.
  11. A lot of people did care, but I think those people have mostly been chased off.
  12. It's detrimental to pure F2P players because it is likely to greatly reduce to odds that they start off with level 1 in member's skills.

Unless you can low alch and mine at the same time, I would presume dropping would be faster, if you're fast. Even without mousekeys, it's not difficult to drop to drop ores from the bottom 8 spaces of your inventory in a couple seconds if you are playing on fixed size (right click the one on the second to top row, click "Drop," and then quickly right-click and left-click and the second will drop). It's a little difficult to describe in words. If you're only mining two or three rocks and not a deposit, then dropping is definitely faster, as you can dropping while waiting for ore to respawn.
  14. That's a computer monitor (CRT) (or are you talking about something else?) My computer is usually very warm, and I think it occasionally impedes performance :(.
  15. Does the report abuse really only send the last 60 seconds of chat, or does it send a record of whatever conversation regarding you and the offender that remains in the chat log at that point? Similarly, will no chat be sent if the offending chat is wiped out of the chat log by spam fast enough? There seems to be evidence that it keeps more than 60 seconds of chat, which I can't really share. I am also disregarding any messages along the lines of "This player hasn't chatted recently" since not all rules feature this restriction.
  16. Considering that she's P2P, that shouldn't be a problem.
  17. I think Jagex's idea was that if you unlock them one at a time, it's more exciting than having a whole tier of spells at certain levels, Stealing-Creation style.
  18. Maybe a few (relatively new or inactive) people still do it and wait a few hours to sell the staves above market price and make a small profit.
  19. Do these "trial members" have a trade giveaway limit? If not, the reason to limit it to 50 per transaction but to allow multiple sales is obvious-and I don't think I'm allowed to post it here.
  20. I'm enjoying reading your blog. Keep going :D!
  21. This could be rectified by implementing the now-standard trade limit until the account actually purchased P2P.
  22. I guess the sale of membership PINs doesn't fall under "Account buying/selling" (anymore)? I thought I remembered reading to report it as such at some point.
  23. I think she said she didn't want handouts ;).
  24. I was under the impression that tensions between America and China were fairly high (maybe a little lower recently).
