I give up trying to find the most efficient effigy dropper, as I get them from all types of slayer monsters high or low level. My best streak was 2 effigies in 14 mithril dragon kills on a slayer task though, other than that I haven't had any effigies for a few days now :( and I slay a lot o_O I think they're one of the best updates that has come out so far.

Very nice. That 4th monster is what Nechryael should look like tbh. I'm glad the true dung cape has a primal helm as the icon, that's what I thought represented dung more than the ring of kinship.

No, the 2m cost is outrageous. 200k I'd be ok with, 400k max, but 2m? No way.

Yeah but even if they were monthly updates, they just pushed the treasure trails to next month, which therefore doesn't even make it a monthly update, it makes it a 2 monthly update. Anyways...

I don't mind the delay, as long as the 99 capes are fixed for male characters. A few updates ago, 99 capes on guys went through the jagex washing machine and shrunk lol. Also I demand a new slayer cape emote kthx =D Nah I'm alright with this, it better be released 1st week of august then lol, if it was delayed twice I would be very annoyed to say the least. The RS forums had me convinced it was going to be last night. There was a jagex post in which the title was edited to "the waiting room" building even more suspense that it was going to be last night. In the end tons of spammers, trolls and ascii artists bombarded the thread and it had to be locked. Then we were all refered to the new sticky showing it was going to be delayed till august :( lots of upset people and their hopes were shattered.

No game engine update this week, and treasure trails being pushed into August. I personally went from 80 to 90 hunter catching ruby harvests and when I got higher, sapphire glacialus. They're really good exp and I only found this out after getting annoyed at how crowded red chinchompa's are. It took me about a week of doing just that. I'd go with barehanded butterfly catching if you're sane enough. I admit sometimes you just don't wanna train hunter ever again, but if you manage to keep going, you'll be able to do it easily within a week, 2 at max.

I'd go with this ^ if I were you, but since I'm not, do what you want/like. I personally think It's good to splash out every now and then and buy some level 90+ skills that have been in the 70's for years. I did that with herblore and I've never been so happy about wasting my cash in all my life because the extreme pots I use now are so much fun :D So yeah, up to you. I personally would buy a nice level 90 or few, or save up for new treasure trail items.

Waterfiends - take too long and are quite frustrating over a long period of time Living rock creatures - these too, take wayyy too long Black demons - great exp up to level 99 slayer, but I get sick of them real fast, not too many great drops and I don't need slay exp anymore Skeletal wyverns - they hit too much, I never get anything good from them, and I have to make atleast 2-3 bank trips per task Fire giants - lame drops (I don't do rune drops, sorry) can hardly ever find a quiet spot and even if I do, the bad drops just make me wanna cancel the task because it's a waste of my time anyway Other tasks I'd love to perma ignore would be: Kalphite - always crowded, horrible spawns, lame drops and take ages Hellhounds - no good drops apart from effigies (and clues I never do coz after 100+ level 3 clues I've only had 2 rewards worth over 1M) they hit often, and are a waste of my time Suqah - too long to get to the location and lame drops apart from the blue charms, which isn't a great enough incentive for me to wanna like the task Bloodveld - lame drops Warped tortoises - great drops, but ALWAYS crowded. Hopped worlds about 30 times once and just gave up in the end. If it wasn't always crowded I would be OK with this task. Greater demons - always crowded, not enough good drops Black dragons - access to them takes too long, they're always crowded, just take too long to kill for their drops and I've never had a visage or anything spectacular from them Jungle strykewyrms - time it takes to pop up each monster makes the task very long, and I've only had 1 hexcrest in more than 2k kills, worse than whip drop rate Desert strykewyrms - same as above ^ and only 2 focus sights in more than 4k kills, this too is worse than the whip drop rate Terror dogs - hit unbelievably hard for their level and no spectacular drops Yeah that's pretty much it.

Well, I'm not ever going for fire cape again, nor am I going to try to kill nomad, so 99 capes are the best option for me either way. I'll also probably be wearing my slayer cape when I get 99 summoning and many others, just because it's my favourite skill, has epic colours, and it took me ages to get lol. They're still an achievement either way. I think the next best thing to 99 capes will be 120 cape/s one day - if you manage to stay sane enough to go for that amount of exp.

What monsters drop effigies more frequently than others? We know jagex stated the higher level the monster is, the greater chance of getting them. We also know they are a 'rare' drop. Now personally I've obtained 2 effigies within 14 mithril dragons on a slayer task, which is my best streak of effigies so far. But wondered, is there a particular monster worth camping at just for a higher chance of effigy drops? Would it be good to camp at mithril dragons? Or was I just very lucky? For me it would have to be 'why do you continue to train slayer if you got 99 already'. Here are my reasons: 1. Slayer Experience 2. Very fast combat exp 3. Money 4. Why not? To me, I hate this question because it's pretty much common sense if you think about it. In fact so much so I've just started ignoring people who ask this question. So, what do you hate being asked all the time? Is it a particular request to see the emote of your 99 cape? It could be anything really. Post away!

After 10 dry ice strykewyrm tasks and no staff of light, the next 2 ice strykewyrm tasks I finally get one on each. Both on the same world, different days =D first pic I was just like, o about time. 2nd I was satisfied that my luck had caught up with me lol. [hide] [/hide]

Funorb screams 'kiddies game' to me. I agree with EA on this one. I wouldn't want to support a game which has huge stuff ups every now and then which annoy many players, prime example being the climbing boots update. Plus whether Jagex think so or not, RS has become very player based, whereby if we don't like an update, we will riot!!! XD and most games I've seen never do that, and I'm sure companies like EA would not like that.

I'm hoping along with the technical stuff jagex fix the 99 capes that seem to be really short on males. Maybe that's why they postponed the update till next week? Though I live in hope... It's annoying seeing my shrunk slayer cape uuurgh

I'd like that =D I'd be 102 slayer Yeah I agree with the general idea of everything having the level gaps filled up to 99 first. The effigies update I thought was brilliant. Some people complain saying it's too much exp, but you have to be level 91+ in the first place or require assistance, which I think is more than fair. I think rewarding large chunks of experience for having 91+ in a skill is definitely nice, and effigies would certainly be one of many possible ways of gaining huge chunks of exp to make it easier for getting level 120. If all skills went up to 120, we'd need a lot more updates like effigies, in a way that only once you're past a certain high level, you could obtain insane amounts of exp :)

Considering you don't really see the eyes unless you're up real close.... I want fingers and toes. NAO! :)

Saw a post on the rs forums about a future update to our character faces in game. Apparently you can see yourself with eyes - with the dreadlock haircut, so I got the dreadlock haircut and zoomed in on my face XD seems a bit glitchy, there's some of my face missing but yeah, woohoo we'll finally have eyes!!!

I used to be rank 130 in prayer but that's been and gone. Only skill I care about in terms of rank is attack, as i'm going for 200m exp in it and plan on getting there as fast as I can (without going mental) so pacing myself atm but yeah wanna get a nice rank in attack one day, top 70 would be nice.
