  1. I found myself with a day and a half of free time this week, and didn't feel like being social or even getting dressed, so I did a movie marathon. The Call of Cthulhu (2005) - This is the first silent movie I've seen, and I really enjoyed it. Despite being classed as a horror, I found that it made me laugh more than that it scared me. 8/10 Vacancy (2007) - It ended up being one of the most cliche horror movies ever. The main characters' car breaks down outside of a small gasbar/motel combo right in the middle of the mountains. Terror ensues. However, the acting actually wasn't bad at all and the 'romance' between the main characters didn't feel forced. Luke Wilson definitely has potential to do more than just comedies. 7/10 1408 (2007) - Was going extremely well and had the potential to be an extremely effective horror/thriller until about 35ish minutes from the end. Overall, I liked it though. 7/10 Quantum of Solace (2008) - After hearing about all the downfalls of this movie from people, my expectations were much lower than they should have been so I liked it quite a bit. Lots of explosions and shattering glass near the end. The Mist (2007) - Great horror/thriller. The terror effectively shifts from between the mist creatures and the trapped citizens to within the citizens themselves. Hugely underrated. Babel (2006) - 4 different stories converge together: two arabic brothers receive a gun as a gift, a husband (Pitt) and wife (Blanchett) are caught in the middle of a terrorist attack, an american brother and sister go for a day trip to a mexican wedding with their nancy, and a japanese teen deals with her hearing disability. Powerful movie. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004) - Confusing at first, but it makes complete sense by the end. I'm not usually a fan of romance, but this movie was amazing. After The Truman Show and now this, Jim Carrey is slowing becoming another favorite of mine. Vanilla Sky (2001) - Drama + Romance + Scifi. Vanilla Sky has so many different aspects to it, putting it under any category would be wrong. Surprisingly, I wasn't disappointed that the whole movie was basically out right explained at the end by one of the characters. I'm definitely going to see this one again.
  2. The Reign of Kindo - jazz rock/indie To call them jazz, rock, or even indie is wrong, it's a meld of all three. I've never been really into jazz or indie, but I class these guys within my top 5 favorite artists. http://www.absolutepunk.net/artists/sho ... ils&l=4512
  3. "Is the other side of the world all water?" - a classmate a few years ago upon looking at a map of the world. "Do they dry them with towels?" - the previously mentioned classmate after learning that centuries ago people dried fish to preserve them.
  4. 5. Paper Mario 4. Tales of Legendia 3. Golden Sun: The Lost Age 2. Tales of Symphonia 1. Tales of the Abyss
  5. Best advice so far. Though with your amount of cash and amount of time you spend on runescape per day, a gathering skill seems to be your best choice. They could also make you quite a bit of extra cash.
  6. Oranges. Lots of oranges. I've been basically living off those things for two months. Haven't yet got sick of them, though I suppose I probably soon will.
  7. I'm talking about how ridiculously easy it is train a skill with pest control points without ever having done the skill yourself. Example: People meleeing in pest control to train their magic with the points. Aye aye... And the worst part is, when you train combat any other way, a little voice in the back of your head is telling you you could get more out of Pest Control. Pest control doesn't train slayer. I consider that extra bit of slayer experience to be more valuable than that extra bit of combat experience. Anyways, I really hope that pest control can't train it. I would really like to see maxed combat to be more difficult than what it currently is.
  8. If the text was less messed up it might have been more convincing.
  9. I've killed over 16k of them without any significant drops. I was wearing a RoW the whole time too.
  10. Farming doesn't seem to cost as much as herblore because it takes much more time to level than herblore. You could theoretically go from 1 to 99 herblore in less than a week, but farming would take many months, no matter how fast you tried to train it.
  11. I thought I recognized your name! Hey, fellow runecrafter. :) Good luck with the last two skills to get to 60. Looks like they're the longer ones to level. You'll get it no problem though.
  12. There are a ton of people buying 5m+ amounts of pure ess at the highest price possible in hopes of pushes up the prices. I personally know of a person who was a former merchant and is currently buying 12m+ pure ess to hopefully turn over into a huge profit.

  14. 0/10, considering I don't usually browse this forum.
  15. Quite a while ago I was eating a creamy vanilla yogurt during our school's lunch our. Somehow, I ended up dumping the whole thing on my lap. I had to walk to the bathroom with a whole bunch of vanilla yogurt all over my crotch area. :XD: On my way to the bathroom, I passed a whole bunch of teachers who had just come out of a meeting. I tried to make eye contact with them to see where they were looking, and lots of them were looking lower than one might expect. One of the science teachers jokingly asked me why I couldn't wait.
  16. I seem to be having as much or more fun than when I first started, but I think it's a different kind of fun. I no longer have that wonder when exploring or finding out new things.
  17. Each peach heals 8 hitpoints, and it only costs 2 nature per inventory of bones, not per bone. If you had 17 bones in your inventory it would still only take two natures to turn them all into peaches.
  18. This little red line should be the collection point. Just pull the lever near it and you should get a whole bunch of items from mirrors to crystals, all needed to proceed further into the quest.
  19. It's very useful for camping on things that drop bones. No need to bank trips only for food if the monster you are training on drop bones. It's Basically a more limited and less expensive version of guthans.
  20. Man, why didn't I see this sooner. :o Best guide ever. I love all the price/time efficiency comparisons. Some parts could be updated though with the new prices.
  21. Quite off topic, but this is something I just saw. Oak planks = 60xp each, 510gp each --> 8.5gp/xp Teak planks = 90xp each, 844gp each --> 9.4gp/xp Therefore, depending on how many planks you can actually use per hour, it might be more cost/time effective to use teak planks than oak planks. If you can use 3k planks an hour: 217,241 oak planks needed from 0-99 construction = 72.4 hours 144,828 teak planks needed from 0-99 construction = 48.3 hours Time saved if using teak planks = 24.1 hours Cost of oak planks = 110,792,910gp Cost of teak planks = 122,234,832gp Cost different between oak and teak planks = 11,441,922 11,441,922gp / 24.1hrs = 474769gp/hr If you can make 475k and hour or more, it is more cost/time effective to use teak planks than oak planks. However, I am pretty sure my planks used per hour is off. 3000 an hour was just as estimate and could change the amount of money you would need per hour to actually make it worth using teak planks instead of oak planks. Teak planks might also not be as available as oak planks. [/offtopic]
  22. Even if I'm absolutely starving, I can't manage more than 3. As soon as I get through that second piece my hunger is completely gone and I feel satisfied. Overeating just makes me feel sick. However, I might be able to physically will myself to eat 7+. I would just feel like death after.
