Fist Of Guthix - Why Do People Whine So Much About It??
Tsar replied to Warrior_B666's topic in General Discussion
Considering the average maturity level () of an average runescaper, I would say it's normal that they complain. People will whine at whatever the activity... from finding you at the center of the FoG arena, to such simple tasks as logging into the game or entering your bank pin. No matter how good something can be, there are always those who hate it. That's why I play minigames with all chats on friends, so I wouldn't have to see the constant whinging. ;) -
Let me explain how I think the success of urn looting is calced. Each time you open an urn, the game thinks up a random number between say 0-120, and compares that to your thieving level. If the number is lower, you will succeed in looting the chest. If it's higher, you fail. Simple as that. The higher your thieving level, the less failing numbers the game can choose. It's how most "luck"-based operations work in any rpg, from D&D to WOW. This has nothing to do with whether you're walking or running. Besides, your averages are too close to be of any significant difference. The average PPer wouldn't even notice the change if he/she walked instead of running. And then there's the question Why?... why would Jagex implement a walk/run failrate difference into the game... it wouldn't make any sense whatsoever. Just excess code, more bits and bytes.

Big move!!! come in for more info (Small things thread..)

Mummies shouldn't attack you when someone else opens the sarc in Pyramid Plunder. Many times some kids (who btw only laugh at you when you try to negotiate with them) have ruined my plunder run by opening the sarc and running out, leaving me to kill the mummy and loot the urns (now in a reduced time, because of the damn mummy). -.- -
most recently - 99 magic. considering i did it mostly by just high alching, and that being very boring and repetitive, makes this more impressive, for me at least

Yes, I literally weeped a few tears when I found out a friend with whom we had a mutual trust and good friendship decided to backstab me and run off with my white phat I had lended him for a few days in good hopes (he didn't break any promise before). Since it happened a year ago, I'm not too shaked about it now, since I have mostly recovered. He hasn't found his punishment yet, which is a shame. I still bump into him from time to time, he doesn't feel guilty. Probably half my own fault too. O well. That was probably the only time I ever cried about a game, unless tears of joy or laugher are included.

Quality updates? Yeah, the new graphical update seems better than what they usually give us, but it (and all new releases) is still in dire need of a proper quality control. Every single update they have done since the start of Runescape has been filled with bugs, some serious, some more of a minor scale. They haven't even bothered fixing old ones that have been reported for a very long time. They shouldn't be so concerned about quantity (an update every week), more on quality (everything works 100% prior to release). Rushing something and forgetting to check it for errors will just make the company look sloppy and unprofessional in the eyes of the end-user. Heh, now I'm just ranting. As for the fog... Well, it's definitely a progress. It could be made better, like variable distance fading, but for now, it's pretty damn good as it is. :)

Ok, since there's some doubt, I found the article where many planned, but undone additions were listed. It's dated 31 March 2004. http://news.runescape.com/newsitem.ws?id=208 (if this link doesn't go anywhere, find the article manually from the old news list, I think it was on page 3)

Wilderness tag? Wasn't that cancelled in project-stage because it was deemed too complicated for Java to handle, and replaced with Bounty Hunter? I certainly remember it that way. Quest storylines should definitely be finished. The Plague City plot line has been aching for an ending for ages now. Oh and I remember an old behind-the-scenes a few years ago saying something about "new frozen lands and mammoths". Can't be bothered to dig that article up, but I'm sure it's still somewhere in their old updates list.

Monday Poll: What are you looking forward to most in July?
Tsar replied to Rcty's topic in General Discussion
Bank bank and for the third time - BANK! =P~ I've been waiting for a bank makeover for literally years now. Ever since I got members my bank has been a mess, the only time I would mind organising it is for screenshots and during lazy days. A tabbed layout would make wonders. Something to lock items in place wouldn't hurt either, it would kill the need for doubles, which for some items at the present is too expensive just for the sake of keeping your bank in-order. So yea, my vote for the bank update. :) -
Hehe, haven't been caught after forum downtime. \

F2P had a pet / familiar temporarily for the duration of the last Easter Event. Wasn't the Chocatrice "almost" like a pet? :? Poll manipulation isn't welcome, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, not be forcefed with someone elses.

Rate ma helmet slot -- 1k + views!!!
Tsar replied to saif's topic in Achievements (Drops, Bank Pictures and Levels)
0/10. What are we rating? Jagex's obvious mass-mistakes of game content quality control? Even if your characters head wasn't be invisible, the outfit rating wouldn't reach over 2/10. I don't like it, plainly cause I just don't sense any creativity there. Try something different for the torso and legs slot. -

New Skilling Outfit!
Tsar replied to Nopnoob's topic in Achievements (Drops, Bank Pictures and Levels)
Hey, your face has ran off lol About the costume... Pretty generic outfit by all means. I've seen people with the exact same outfit (different boots sometimes). But I really can't understand why one must wear dragon boots even when skilling. They're ugly. Get desert boots or infinity boots. 5 out of 10 bones. -
First Trip, First Drop
Tsar replied to 123_x_pac's topic in Achievements (Drops, Bank Pictures and Levels)
er... nice... But without a pic, this thread has no point tbh -
It's holy water. Used in Legends quest, you can wield it, and it looks just like you're holding a super attack pot in your hand. Ajk822: I don't have a DFS because I can't afford it. I can't conjure up 24m out of nowhere too and I have rotten luck with monster drops. Though, the shield is in my future goals list. Nyyankees: That tt reward is "[bleep]ed helm", they currently go in GE for ~650k. Level 1 TT. Ginandtonic: Yea, 9.8k maple longs would be nice, if I was into junk trading. Skipping that one, for now. :P 70 summoning is an active goal atm. As I'm writing this, I'm already level 67. I just need to get more charms :)

Hello. As a few of you have seen or read, I got 99 magic on the 18th of June in F2P. With that done, I had nothing to do in F2P anymore. So 2 days later, I decided it was time to renew my membership. But 3 months of "being away" meant I had to do a few quests and catch up on some updates. First things first, I went to check on my kingdom, in which I had left 7.5m to be used by the workers. To my disappointment, they had only used 2.2m of it. It was still a nice amount of supplies they gathered: : [hide=Manage Thy Kingdom supplies][/hide] I kept the seeds from the nests and the eggs, rest I sold off. I also sold alot of the junk which was infesting my bank. As a result I had 16M cash so I decided to finish off an old armor goal and bought a bandos plate. With that done, I went questing, and could wear my quest cape again a day later. Then I heard from a friend that the new slayer helm is a must-have for any serious slayer. I simply must have it, I thought. The next 3 days I happily slayed away at all tasks which the masters gave me. I used Duradel for the 10th tasks, and Mazchna for everything else. I skipped 1 task that Duradel gave me, which was Warped Terrorbirds, and only because it would have taken too much time to kill all 180 of them. Here are the levels I achieved on and off the slayer spree: [hide=92 Hitpoints][/hide] [hide=65 Summon][/hide] [hide=88 Defense][/hide] [hide=78 Slayer][/hide] [hide=66 Summon][/hide] Also got 121 combat from that summon level. While slayering, you will almost always get a few clue scroll drops: What does this all lead to..... The helm of course, which I got today! \ After 4 days of slaying, here's my new outfit: :D And since I don't post here that often, here's my full fledged stats and bank pic, along with the latest collage of my costume room: You're welcome to rate and comment now! :D

It's because the supply of willow logs exceeds the demand for them. There's little use in willows nowdays too. Firemakers use mostly maples, fletchers only use them until they can fletch maple bows... so the market isn't good for willows. Plus I bet over half the willows still in circulation now were cut by autoers before the RWT updates, so that only adds to the excessive amount of willow logs in game.
