America Explained
No European country (i'm not sure if any country does in fact) is on the gold standard whereby its currency is completely backed by gold reserves. Of all countries the US maintains the largest reserves of gold bullion. There is no gold standard. "Gold standard" is a term used to describe a currency that is entirely backed by gold bullion (coins made of gold don't need to be backed obviously so long as they are of the corret wieght), whereby a single unit of currency can be exchanged through the issuing party (usually a bank/central bank depending on the time in question) for a specific quantity of gold. Thats not the same as being backed by the gold since you can not redeem the currency for gold. They hold gold as a reserve, not to back the Euro. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/7050529.stm , the gold standard is quite capable of crating significant cash shortages when an economy grows if it can't increase its stock of gold in pace with it, that then limits the economy.

Your top 5 fave rpgs? Not mmo.
In order 1) Morrowind, while Oblivion has some amazing quest lines that are subperbly executed(DB and TG stick in my mind) Morrowind just has so much more depth to it. 2) Planescape:Torment , how RPG's should be written "I wonder what it was I said that made death reject me. " 3)FFVIII (I like people to look like people, odd but true)

Nihilism in Accordance to the Quantum Theory
Where does it say that? Both in the declaration that it is the most "important" thing in it and where it says that all beings have a counterpart.

The abortion debate
Whether you believe it or not has no bearing on whether it is true or not. I note that you don't seem to be disagreeing the idea that your morals are defined solely by what you can get away with.

The abortion debate
So fear constructs and guides your morality? In short you are saying that your personal morality is defined as "What I can get away with", forgive us if not everyone is so self-centered. Humanity has an instinctive fear of the unknown, we create such things to cover what we don't understand, hence we ended up with the early polythesitic religions where ever natural phenonemom and occurance has it's own diety/spirit/demon. Fear when backed up with uncertainty (often from the unkown, which conviently of course is often the source of the fear in the first place) creates panic, panic will take any given society to anarchy far faster than the lack of fear and the feeling impunity it instills in some people (such as yourself from your words so far) can ever do so. Mind giving the rest of us your definition of human, i'd be interested in seeing it.

Is Social security In USA as bad as "sicko" shows?
But the whole problem with the NHS, is that becuase it's a government run organisation it hasn't got the incentive to be efficient like a profit making business would be. Thats an awful lot to chalk up to one reason, and in this case it isn't all that significant. A great many of the current problems with the NHS come from the fact it is constantly being changed and reorganised by polticians who like to appear as if they doing something, take alook at how many regional body systems weve been through over the last decade. If you constantly restructure any organisation you cause yourself no end of problems. A corrupt audit office doesnt help matters much either.

His Dark Materials - Parental right violation?
Most of what I have to say has been covered so i'm not going to resay it, but I really take issue with this paragraph and it's author.

Wow, RuneScape players are sure gullible.
Heh. Although the gullability of the 'community' is hardly a new thing, what with all the players who don't see anything slightly suspicous about valuable items being dropped next to them while they are 'making a vid'.

The UK government loses 25m records.
Your forgetting it also includes the bank account details of the people who recieve the benefits, along with their names DOB's national insurance number which is much more helpful.

your favorite quotes
Thats from Dirty Harry I think. Some from Planescape Torment: "Fall-from-Grace: Time is not your enemy, forever is. " "Dak'kon: Endure. In enduring, grow strong. " "Nameless One: It insults the dead when you treat life carelessly. " "Transcendent One: The weak suffer. I *endure*. " "Nameless One: I wonder what it was I said that made death reject me." "Morte: Women were the reason I became a monk - and, ah, the reason I switched back... " This is from Geneforge 4 "I intend to find out who has the most treasure, kill them, take it and repeat the process"

The UK government loses 25m records.
If it was down to a single junior official (contradicted by reports that a manager declined to censor the sensitive unwanted parts as requested by the NAO) *WHY* was he able to access and export the entire database on his own? That is a serious systemic failure in it's own right. I personally suspect they are DVD's not CD's 2 cds means 1300MB of storage, so 25 million records (complete) is only 54.5 bytes a record, to hold names, addresses, NI numbers, bank account details. "Single junior official" phrase, lit: scapegoat.

You and your ego, you certainly have not changed in the least.

Staking riot
You need to get a rank of 1900+ to stake the million coins, as it stands now that basically means you need to be (nearly) maxed melee or (nearly)maxed tank to get up there. Just because they said they won't move the 3k/15 minute cap doesn't necessarily mean they aren't going to tweak the system at all. And aren't most of the good stakers nearly maxed anyways? I dont think they will be tweaking the 1m stakes being only for the top group either. Not always, although I dont know how much it's changed over the last few years.

20 November 2007 - Duel Arena Tournaments and Changes
With the staking cap for one on one matchs at 3k, i'm at a loss as to why they left staking matches in, afterall a match (only one every 15 minutes mind) with a 3k stake is a fun to all practical extents and purposes.

To Those Who Think RS is 100% Safe.
As much as I hate to nitpick(well I don't really but anyway) your a little off the mark here. The adverts are provided by a third party company (servedby advertising iin this case) and hosted on the third party servers. There have been several fairly high profile (at least if you follow tech news) cases where advertising networks have been compromised and used by the attacks to distribute virus laden adverts (via iframes/flash etc) to client websites. Which from the post you provided an image of, this appears to be a case of, a theory given credence by your description of the trojans behaivour. Of course to assume that any site has 100% perfect security and will never be compromised is nonsense anyhow.

HOLY [cabbage] THIS CAN'T BE GOOD!
Cookies are just small files containing data left on your computer by websites, used to store things like your log in session and preferences. The ones flagged by Adaware will generally be tracking cookies from advertising networks, which track what websites with their adverts you have been on. So you may as well delete them.
