Which skill do YOU think is the Hardest and why? Thieving maybe. I hate the skill, worst skill ever. It got a lot easier with Pyramid Plunder though, which I'm glad of. Which Skill do you think Used to be the Hardest when you Started? I'm not sure. Maybe prayer or something. Which Skill do you find the easiest? Cooking I'd say. I've never made a goal to raise my cooking level before, but it's still at 87, one of my highest non combat skills. Do you skills which can be bought to actually be much easier, i mean not everyone had 100m? Can't say I really understand this question. :P I like how you've rated all these skills, and I think you did a great job. Hunter however, is pretty easy. People say you can get 99 in two weeks, which I would say is rather easy. Mining is kind of hard to level, but my favourite f2p skill. :D Slayer is also kind of hard, and I've never tried using a cannon. Best skill ever though, imo. :D

I think they should get rid of some of the pointless, and completely annoying ones. Sandwich lady, definitely. Drunken dwarf? You just need to talk to him, and he's provided me with food on a couple helpful occasions. He doesn't really interrupt what you're doing. I think they should keep him. The costume randoms shouldn't bother you anymore after you've already gotten their full costume, or they should a LOT less. Maze isn't bad, I find it kind of fun, but also should become less. Also that annoying purple plant... it should go. The fruit doesn't even heal you. I think in general, the most pointless ones should be taken out, and the costume ones should be reduced severely once you've gotten the costume. Molly should go. No one cares about her.

Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan, has been mentioned a couple times. I'm really hoping that last book will still come out, despite is death (RIP). It's an amazingly detailed and well-written series. The Twilight/New Moon/Eclipse series by Stephanie Meyer is also really great, as well as the Inheritance trilogy by Christopher Paolini. I just checked out the alagaesia site btw, and the last book is coming out in three months! I didn't know that, and now I'm really excited. :D

Personally, I LOVE slayer. It's the most fun skill out there, to me. I train it, just to train it. I hardly ever get worthwhile drops. When I do, it's just a nice bonus. However, someone said something about how if the rewards weren't tradeable, it would be that much better. I kind of agree. It would make the things THAT much better, and much much more of an achievement. I kind of wish it was like that...

I also support. Mostly the part about the fireworks forming the shape of the skill you leveled. That would look cool. :D

Our exams start this week, on Thursday. I have to write a history one and a math one. This is my second last year in school. :( I'm a little scared of the future. xD I hope to go into the university for computer science in the fall of 2009. :D It's a little intimidating... thinking about university already... but I suppose I'll get used to all the changes and stuff won't I? :)

This is my jelly setup: Wearing: Best Dhide top and bottom Barrows Gloves Dragon/Rune Boots Glory Whatever cape and other stuff you want Inventory: Guthans NPC Contact runes Slayer gem Two monkfish Thats with guthans and lunar spells, however you can take out the runes and guthans if you don't have or use those, and just take a bunch of monks or lobsters. I use the fairy rings to get there, but you can also just walk from wherever. Use whatever weapon you find best. I recommend a whip or dragon scimmy.

I actually kind of like it. Maybe they'll make a permanent option for it? :o That would be nice. :D

I'd definitely say I'm part of the self-sufficient group. I used mtk for tree seeds, and did a farming run a day, like you said. I also bought snap seeds, to grow into herbs to use for herblore levels. I catch ALL the food I need, except maybe the occasional shark that I buy from a friend for a kq trip or something (most of which I fish beforehand anyways.) The only time I spend money on skills is for things like con, and some on smithing recently. I usually get smithing levels from what I mine though. I've wc'ed all my fletching levels, and mtk'd for most of my fm levels. I rc a lot of my runes, and collect my own seconds for herb and summoning. Prayer and crafting I often buy, but sometimes I always save all my dragon bones and hides from my slayer tasks.

I'm f2p right now, so nobody can say 'oh what a typical p2p response'. [rant] But what have you done for Jagex to deserve a new skill? You play their game, completely for free. You're in no position to whine that you don't get a new skill. I think f2p was lucky to get all the new things they did. Many people seem happy with that. If you're really that bored with f2p, then go get members, or go find a different game to occupy your time. Whining that you aren't getting enough, is not going to help at all. [/end rant]

Thieving. I hate it. It's stupid and pointless imo. But thats just my opinion. Fm in all reality really is the most pointless. The ONLY thing it really lets you do is make fires and light lamps. It seems a waste of time to make an entire skill out of it, but whatever. Some people like training it for fun, so it isn't that bad.

Besides tons of the slayer monsters, I haven't noticed any. However, I'd like to say, the slayer monster graphics are AWESOME now. :D

Wow. :shock: I never would of made any of those connections. That's awesome. :D I hope the storyline progresses. :) Slayer is my favourite skill! However I'm not such a fan of the desert ones. xD They'll be better now though with the enchanted water tiara I guess. Anywho... :? I hope the storyline progresses. :)

I would say mining pure ess. Pure ess is very high right now, and nats are going down in price. Mining pure ess would probably be your best bet. If you can, use the Mage Guild teleport to the pure ess mine.

I didn't read the whole thread, as there was a lot of posts, so I don't know if someone posted this already. If they did, I'm sorry. I find the best way is the hally them in the chaos tunnels. They go down pretty quickly with a hally, and there are somewhat safe spots in the tunnels. (By that I mean, they aren't completely safe, but if you angle the demon correctly, it won't hit you. Also, they other demons can sometimes start attacking you, but I've found this isn't usually an issue.)

Not all stores will buy all items. I'm very certain that the general store buys ALL items that aren't untradeable, and now it seems, also does not buy rares.

I personally, also didn't notice, and I think the thread creator for posting this. :) It seems highly restrictive >.>, but I guess necessary to keep price manipulators at bay.

I agree with the 99 slayer, as it's definitely a really awesome skill, that comes with 99 combat skills. :) I personally train range on whatever tasks I can as well. However, if you want one particular 99 melee skill, I would choose Defence, because the cape owns.

Combat type things are out. I hate training combat when I'm not using slayer to do it. :P It feels like such a waste. Crafting however could work. Cowhides are cheaper anyways. :P Anyone know if there's any summoning seconds I could gather while in f2p? Something somewhat easy at least preferably. EDIT: Yeah I what I thought was quite a few posts. :( I was almost at 1000 before. xD :(

The little dagannoths I know drop level two clues. Guards are either level one or two, I can't remember, but I'm pretty sure two. They would be pretty easy to kill. I would check the bestiary for more. They're all listed. :)

So (seeing as most of these are old topics, hopefully a new topic will be a good thing), I'm going to go f2p for an undetermined about of time. I'm keeping all my stuff, as trying to get it back in a couple of months is way to much of a hassle for me to want to deal with. Since I'm keeping all my stuff, I won't be able to put anything new in my bank. So I'm gonna do things like mining, wcing, and fm, that I already have all the stuff in my bank, and I won't be taking it all out. My plan so far is: 90 mining (with mining and superheating mithril bars in the guild) 85 wc (or 5k yews, to train fletching with when I get members back) 75 fm (because I have many maples sitting around, and I can fm just as well in f2p as I can in p2p) Does anyone else know of anything I can do just as well in f2p as I can p2p? Thats my main reason for stopping members for a bit. Why do things in members, when I can do them the same way without paying? If anyone has any suggestions, that would be great. :) Things like fishing and cooking I won't do in f2p, as I fish for my own food (monks) and get cook them as well. I might do rc, but only if I'm really running low on elemental runes. Magic I might train a bit, besides the superheating. Anyone have any suggestions for that? I'd really like to get 83 mage sometime anyways. Thanks to anyone who can help. :D

Good luck man! Mining rocks :). Thats a long hard goal you have there :P, but why not make some money off it? Thats the only way I'd ever get 99 mining :). It's a really pretty cape :o.

I actually tried being male once :P (I am female in real life.) I found it boring. The best outfit? Is lame and EVERY guy has it :P. Female's have more options :D.

I kept the bird eggs that I happened to get over my membership time. It's only like 3 :P, but still didn't wanna drop them. I'm not a member right now though :P.
