this is the southern middle room. this one is almost a true safespot.

ankous on the fouth level of the stronghold of security is just what you're looking for ... high hp, safespots, no competition. if you can stand all the clicking you should use crumble undead because its cheaper (less airs), more experience, and just as fast to cast. crumble undead works on ankous, too.

This could be interpreted as item scamming even though i wouldn't report you something this minor. you will probably just waste your time because of all the people declining it and no repeat runners. my advice is just pay the 2k and do some runs yourself to make up the loss.

here are some things i really like about this update that is not about the clan chat. 1. i can turn off the game messages like " you just caught a lobster". this makes it much easier to follow a conversation. 2. no more really quick log out/log in beacuse of friends switching private chat from friends to on (going through off) 3. more lines of chat These were some of the things i disliked about the old chat system. as for the clan chat it seem great so far.

RayOxide, have you tried this? i ask this because selling alot of steel nails is very difficult. most buyers of steel nails only buy 1-5k and if a member post selling 30k steel nails for a decent price, you wont find any buyer for hours. I would advise against doing this on a mass scale unless member account to post for you.

with 1k steel bars make either cannonballs or steel plates if you make cannonballs and sell them you will end up with 600k - 800k but are slower than steel plates and you need to do a quest to get the mold. if you make steel plates and high alch them you'll end up with 240k. I'm never been p2p so i cant tell you how much longer it will take to make cannonballs vs steelplates. to go through 1k steel bars at the varrock anvil will take 1 hr to 1hr and 15 min.

if you're F2P mine 2200 iron and make iron plates or mine 725 iron and 1450 coal and make steel if you're P2P you could try mining 706 gold ore and smelting it with the gaunlets other ways without mining (faster to 50 smithing if you included the time mining, but need money to get started and no mining experience) F2P 1. buying iron and coal and just smelting steel bars and sell. need enough money to buy 1k iron and 2k coal (400k-500k) and sell the bars for 600k. take about 6 hours for 3k steel bars + time buying and selling. P2P (all are faster than just smelting steel bars) 1. buy iron ore or bars and make knives(middle speed and no or little money) 2. buy iron and coal or steel bars and make cannonballs(slowest but make alot of money) 3. buy gold ore and smeltng with gaunlets (fastest but lose money)

he has a strength bonus of 50 which means he is probably using a rune scimtar and a amulet of power. in my experence, the hit max calculator seems to be one high with that setup, so if you are hitting 16's i wouldn't worry.

runecrafting without runners, earths are the fastest exp for f2p, followed close by bodies. if you do a combination of these two you can train magic by failing curses with a water staff. mining addy 1. hobogoblin mine in the wild is best 2. dwarven mine is the only place with 3 addy rocks outside the wild, but is often crowded. 3. the mine in the edgeville dungeon has 2 addy rocks and a mithril and 6 coal. a good place to superheat addy and mith bars. not cworded but need decent combat(about 50-60) for the skeletons. 4. lumbridge swamp has 2 addy and more than 1 mith and 7 coal. another good place to superheat. more crowded than edgeville. 5. chasm mine near al karid has 2 addy ore near the 3 iron ore. a good place to powermine iron and pick up addy on the side. 6. candor isle has 3 addy rocks but to mine them you have to run all the way around the island. really far from bank, almost never mined.

assuming that you pay 2k per run and buy ess at 40ea (which is what i have done), so total cost per run is 3k (2k for runner, 25*40=1k for ess). this way one third of the cost is in the ess and two thirds is for the runner. with 6mil buy 50k ess, which is how many ess you can buy with one third of you money(2mil gp = 6mil gp/3, and 50k ess =2mil gp/ 40) and the remaining 4mil will pay for runners to make money, you need to know your break even price. the break even price is the price where you dont make or lose money and if you sell higher than it you make money. for 61-65 rc, you make 150 airs and your cost are 3000 gp so your break even price is 3000/150 = 20gp. for 66-76 rc, you make 175 airs and your cost are 3000 gp so your break even price is 3000/175 = 17.14gp. for 77-87 rc, you make 200 airs and your cost are 3000 gp so your break even price is 3000/200 = 15gp. for 88-98 rc, you make 225 airs and your cost are 3000 gp so your break even price is 3000/225 = 13.33gp. if you think of this way you will never lose money and make some money once you get to a higher level good luck

~~~List of Suggestions to (help) stop bots~~~
simpletron replied to dberg20's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
Ways to get around 1. CAPCHA - just have a human sign up accounts. 2. Aggressive NPCs - raise combat level to 13 for muggers, takes an additional 20 minutes if that. 3. Aubury vs bots - see 2. also not be able to teleport while in combat would stop most abyss runecrafting because of being in combat with pkers or skeletons. I'm just questioning how effective any of these methods would be. PS. I'm all for annoying bot programmers, so i wouldn't mind if 1 and 2 are done. -
f2pers/former members: 5 things you'd like added to f2p?
simpletron replied to ixfd64's topic in General Discussion
1. Green Dragons - F2P needs more higher level monsters and would help crafting with green dragonhide and prayer with dragon bones. prayer is almost impossible to train on F2P. 2. ablity to make arrows up to at least steel - mages can make runes and melee can armour and weapons so why not range. also everything is F2P already... logs, feathers, bars, knife. 3. chaos alter - runecrafting is almost useless as a F2P, would hurt rune buying macros, help magic, and the alter is in the F2P area. Only problem is the pure ess. 4. Skill capes with a way to store them and random event clothing not in the bank. 5. Permanent removal of all macros and sweatshop gold farmers - this would be just too cool but is practically impossible to do. -
Rarest skillcapes in the game!Ranks(UPDATED with more 99's)
simpletron replied to kamykazee's topic in General Discussion
Here is an interesting table. construction is the rarest based on total number, but herblore is the rarest when you divide by how many days the skill has existed. Note: for every skill before july 2002, i got off the tipit news archives because the runescape archive only go back to july 2002. For Firemaking and woodcutting, i couldn't find a release date or the list of the orginal skills, so i made them be released as orginal skills. -
the best place for mining gold is the crafting guild, southwest of falador. it has 7 gold. you need 40 crafting and a brown apron to get in. you buy a brown apron from the clothing store in varrock. if you dont have 40 crafting, the only other places are rimmington, dwarven mines and the one north of al kharid. all of them have 2 each.
More F2P Bank Space! [BANKSPACE ACHIEVED!]
simpletron replied to Prankster_King's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
I don't think so. It's a whole elaborate thing purely to benefit free people. I would hope for the option to make costumes recoverable at the very most.(or more space some day) Jagex made the option availabe to constructors only. They're not about to make it free. The key word is equivalent, which one of its meanings is "corresponding in function". It could be anything like a box in the middle of nowhere(my original idea but near a teleport spot), a new tab in the bank page just for costumes, destroy and costume go to diango, or the most unlikely a full blown costume room like in members. The cost is there because if F2P ever got something like anyone of those for free then the costume room would be pointless. It is not only for F2P because members still dont have acess to their houses in F2P worlds and therefore dont have access to their costumes. I doubt that there will be any updates other than graphics for F2P, but i can still dream... -
More F2P Bank Space! [BANKSPACE ACHIEVED!]
simpletron replied to Prankster_King's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
I support the idea But F2P doesn't need more space IF random event outfits and holiday event items didn't count toward the 60 spaces. So why not just allow F2P to build the equivalent of a costume room. The room would cost more than how much it cost to train to 42 construction and build a costume room. I believe that this would be like 500k to 1 million, but i have no idea since i have never been a member. It should be located near to current teleport spot or given a teleport spot. Also members who have built a costume room would get this for free and give them access to their costumes on F2P worlds since they dont have access to thier homes on F2P worlds. This would be a more permanent solution to the bank space problem since jagex will add more random events and holiday drops and wont add many other items to F2P. if something similiar to this has been posted, i'm sorry because i only read the first page and the last couple. -
i think you should be able to hire a security company or build a surveillance system, which would put a pad outside the house. the pad would be like a pin on a bank and wouldn't allow anyone into the house until it is unlock.
i like believe most people are nice and they dont have to follow your directions. have you ever been asked "where is XXXXX? " it is to help answer that question. it is not design to help yourself from being lost unless someone else to help you. the main reason way i am suggesting this is because i'm tired to typing directions to the port sarim magic shop, which almost no one under lvl 30 knows where that is. also i prefer to teach newer players, how to do it for themselves, so they wont beg me for stuff. like the old saying give a man a fish he is full for a day, teach a man to fish and he'll be full for a lifetime.
recently i have been giving out a lot of directions for the witch's potion quest because i've been training firemaking on the willows near hetty(the witch). so i propose a two new spells to make giving directions easier: give direction (non members version) give direction2 (members version) the wo spells are basically the same except give direction2 would be expanded to the members world. how it works: a veteran player would cast it on a newer player with accept aid on and a map of the world would appear on the veteran player screen. the veteran player would then place a marker on the world map. then on the newer player's compass another arrow would appear pointing in the direction of the marker placed. the spell would be free to use and give no magic experience, but you must complete a quest to use it. the quest would be in two parts: the non-members and members. the non-members quest would be a requirement of the members quest. the quest itself is simple. just run/teleport to talk to a person from each town. so for non-members, just talk to a person from varrock, falador, lumbridge, draynor, rimmmington, edgeville, barbarian village, karamaja and al karid. the members one would be similiar except to only members towns. you wouldn't have to talk to them in any particular order. the quest is mainly to prove you are worthy of giving out directions. the ablity to give directions would help save time of veteran players and help newer players to find what they need. so what do you guys think of it?
steel is faster, because of animation time during smelting.
