Firefox is sitting at about 10% market share worldwide, but for a tech-gaming-orientated site like this, I'd guess we'd probably have 15-20%, maybe even much higher. Even if we only had 10% of Tip.it forum users using Firefox, that'd still be 10,000 Firefox users - considerably more than the 100 who posted in that topic ;)

When I click links in msn windows it opens Firefox, however MSN spaces seem to require me to have IE open, then I click the link in msn and it will open in a new IE window. I'm using MSN 7.5 with msn plus 3.62 - and also the mess.be patch, can't remember what version. Does anyone else experience this? Does anyone have a solution?

How do you know most people here use Firefox? Define "unheard of" - a year ago Firefox 1.0 was at almost 20k downloads. Mozilla had run a double page ad in the new york times. Hardly unheard of. Are you using a mozilla based browser? (Firefox, camino, seamonkey?)

Start -> Quicktime. Edit -> Preferences -> Quicktime preferences. File types tab -> Miscellaneous. UNCHECK flash media. That should make it so browsers use the standard macromedia flash player to play flash movies.

You want to be wary of this. Flash only websites take a long time to load, especially on dialup, are difficult to edit and adjust, and your search engine ranking goes way down. Putting a little animation in the banner that's flash can look nifty, but please don't make the whole site out of it.

Ever looked at the tip.IT url? Not everyone's first language is english.

Right click properties to get the url of the image and put a /rsc/ in there where it's appropriate. They migrated all the old content over to that subdirectory.

Check out the competition, market prices, features of their service, pros and cons etc. Suggest you don't agree to be locked into anything for too long.
