We went to the country.. to a house with no mains power and a solar panel and a gas fridge and absolutely nothing with a computer in it :D

AOL Explorer/Browser is based on Internet Explorer. Try Mozilla Firefox or Opera. My other suggestion would be a hijackthis log since it's clear something is up with your PC. Also, what's the "load of numbers" which you don't understand?

How Do I download .swf files? How do I upload them?

Can someone give me some help using that? I'm trying YouTube as the plugin says it can, but I keep getting an error with it... Fatal error: Call to undefined function: youtube_get() in /home/.decca/javimoya/videodownloader.net/vd/test.php on line 56 I'm not sure what causes that, it's possible that youtube modified their code slightly, but I really don't know. The best place to get support would be to email the extension developer: -
It got to around 36 C here (97F) today, and it's not even summer yet :D

W000t! Thanks very much :D For the whole 30 seconds it took you to re-enable it, I'll make a donation to the slave auction drop party. Don't have much cash on me atm, but I've set up a post in the falador square to get it happening.

~~Newer Bank Of Runescape~~ **Updated again 05/15/09**
Vape replied to Thagern's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
Please use jpeg for that 1 year fireworks image - png is great for runescape screenshots, but jpeg is the best for photos. Try this for size: Regarding your idea.. I think it would be a bit complex for new users. The UI isn't particularly intuitive. Additionally, the currency image isn't very clear, and doesn't make any sense for f2pers. -
Skin showing - Do you mean "board style"?
Vape replied to Guy's topic in Forum Updates and Suggestions
I'd say that's too much personal information, and irrelevant to online discussions. -
Any image editing application will do.

If there are multiple ones, try a different port.

I use MSN but I really want to use Jabber. Open standards ftw. Only problem is that all my friends use MSN so it's kind of hard to switch :( Vendor lockin is teh evil.

Huge Memory Loss, Help! (And other problem)
Vape replied to PumpkinPete112's topic in Tech and Computers
Try spacemonger :) It lets you know exactly where all your files are and what's using up the most space. Often I find that people's media players are copying imported media into a "library" folder, but leaving it in the old location too (perhaps where you ripped or downloaded the file to) and then you've got duplicated files. Here's a visual representation of the files on my harddrive. Some names & places obscured. Oh and there's two main versions of spacemonger.. the old free version, and the new versioin which has a free trial but you can only use it for a month. -
PHPBB2 doesn't automatically update for daylight savings, you have to select the timezone yourself. I'm guessing you want (GMT+10.5 hours) Adelaide (South Australia DST)

Shows as the wall<-head smiley to me.

How many users are utilising a particular theme is not as relevant as how much those particular users access the forum (and perhaps in Gugge's case, how much they have contributed in the past.) The subTrail theme has been around as long as I can remember (it was on scapeboard.com back in 2002) and for many of us is truly a part of the forum experience. I humbly request that you reconsider your decision. If there's anything I personally can do to assist in maintaining the theme, please do say so.
-
Rcty, you can edit the style and content of the forum by editing the theme files. Personally, I think they're quite readable enough, and your paintmash looks very out of theme.

I've used Norton for probably 5 years now (previously just Antivirus, now the Internet Security Suite) and it's been great. That being said, I've not tried any others and since my parents are paying for it the money isn't a big deal.

Did you remove that option from the context menu? eg. with the menuedit extension, or by editing userchrome.css? If you want, you can make mp3 files default to saving to your harddrive instead of opening them with Quicktime. Tools -> Options -> Content -> Filetypes -> Manage
-
I didn't know that was possible :-? Now they need to make televisions and speakers and such that aren't affected by the interference and home cinema systems will be SO much tidier/easier.

Did you just upgrade to Fx 2? If you go to tools -> add-ons or tools -> extensions, is mouse gestures in there? If it is there, try checking for updates to it, if that doesn't work you could try right clicking and disabling it, then restarting Firefox, then enabling it again. If it's not, did you change profiles accidentally perhaps? Are your bookmarks, etc. still there? If your bookmarks etc. are all still there, try downloading and installing mouse gestures again. If your bookmarks and other customisations have gone too, you might have created a new profile. Exit Firefox completely (check the task manager (ctl + alt + del) to ensure no firefox[Caution: ExecutableFile] processes remain) and then go to start -> run: firefox[Caution: ExecutableFile] -p - that'll bring up the profile manager and you can select your old profile (probably called default.) Hrm, I can't think of much else to say, but if you recently changed anything or upgraded Firefox, that'd be useful info. Tomorrow morning I'm going away for the weekend so if your issue still isn't resolved and nobody else here knows, I suggest trying the MozillaZine forums, or #firefox on irc.mozilla.org .. or #addons might be of assistance too. Oh and runesmithie is correct, rocker navigation is a part of mouse gestures.

http://hacksrus.com/~ginda/chatzilla/faq/#inatab So.. no. You can try anyway by entering chrome://chatzilla/content/ into the location bar, but according to that page it won't work.

Don't announcements appear on every page? So what happens if you have over a page worth of announcements?
-
What happened to subTrail?! I'm almost sure I was on TIF yesterday with my fave theme (been using the same one for years now.) Today it's nowhere to be found

If there were a specific rule against comments disparaging towards "emos" then guess what? The topics will get locked. My interpretation of the rules: any comments that attack or degrade any group, whether they be identified by sexual preference, race, gender, emotional alignment, socio-economic standing, or any other measure, are not allowed. (I r not teh staff)

I blame Google web accelerator. Try disabling that - does it still happen? Does it occur in other web browsers too? What happens if you create a new Firefox profile - does the problem still occur? Do you have an ad blocker or some other funky software interfering with your interent connection?
