What do you mean by "the update that FireFox automatically got today for Imageshack" ? Are you talking about an imageshack-related add-on? I can access Runescape fine in Firefox, so I'm going to need some more information.. which add-ons do you have? What happens if you open firefox in safe mode (there should be a shortcut in your start menu, otherwise, see http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode)

NitrousIRC is not a file, it cannot be downloaded. NitrousIRC is an IRC network (similar to the irc.tip.it network, or freenode, quakenet, or any other IRC network. Chatzilla is not "pretty much IRC." Chatzilla (like mIRC, Xchat, Irssi, and many others) is an IRC client - used for accessing IRC (similar to how you use a web browser to access the world wide web, or an email application to access your email.)

If your internet connection has a high latency (such as a satellite connection) then there's nothing you can do about Runescape lagging.

Yeah I think some fool sent like multiple thousands of emails and it kind of ruined it for everyone. I'm guessing zonealarm firewall's ad blocking settings are set too high. If you have Zonealarm, check out the settings :)

Resizing the avatars down to a tiny size would look tacky, if they were original size, then that's waaaaaaay too much scrolling on the frontpage.

I second Anesthesia's suggestion - close and reopen Firefox and it'll be all good. Blocking your siblings from using certain websites will just result in pain.

They are tracking cookies from advertising companies. You can get them from any site which uses that advertising company. The cookie tracks which websites you visit which use that advertising company, and if you click any of the ads, and then (sometimes) if you buy any of the products. It's really nothing to be concerned about unless you're uber crazy about privacy like that. If you are, you can block cookies from tribalfusion, doubleclick, etc. in internet explorer via tools -> internet options -> privacy -> sites

Yeah it's "safe" but you still have to read the description of stuff that you're going to download. If it clearly states that it contains adware or some such, I recommend not downloading it.

Sounds like quicktime's taking over association with some image filetypes. Firstly, reinstall quicktime (you can download a stand-alone installer (ie. no itunes) here.) Make sure Firefox is closed while you're installing quicktime. Next up, try opening quicktime and go to edit -> preferences -> quicktime prefences -> file types -> images and ensure that quicktime isn't associated with PNG, GIF or JPEG images - Firefox ought to be able to handle these just fine itself without quicktime. Let us know how it goes...

Do we have to lock topics on this board once the issues has been resolved/fixed? I refer specifically to subTrail and "Feature" removal - the issues raised in these topics were fixed, and then the topic was locked. I don't see the reason for locking these topics - they should be left open IMO so people can thank the staff for the fix, or comment on the fix, or point out that it wasn't quite correctly implemented, etc. The discussion doesn't end as soon as the issue is resolved. Does that make sense to anyone?

Doing it in html would be much easier (tables are out of the question though! CSS ftw :D) but I had a fiddle in word and came up with this: It's 4 columns and the 2nd and 4th columns are just the same number of underlines. The bit udnerneath is the same thing, just with non-printed characters turned on (or whatever word calls it.) It's an ugly way of doing it, and takes a bit of fiddling to get the column widths right, but if you want, this is all I can suggest. There ought to be a better way though :-?
