I stopped training construction at 69 when you could use evil stews to pot +6. The other 5 or so levels have come from quests, ToG and Livid Farming. 99 con isn't rare because it's time consuming; it's rare because it's a waste of money as it provides no tangible benefits past being able to make a gilded altar.

Maybe I'm weird, but I like fm. At least, I don't find it as bad as some people say.

Would you still play the game and not bot? Would you bot? Or would you quit the game in disgust? I'll admit that if Jagex changed the rules I might consider it, but more than likely I'd probably just quit all together. Not only do I feel there's no point in playing a game you don't actually play, but I couldn't see the point in playing a game in which you would almost assuredly be competing against a bot. As it is, it seems that most people bot because they can get away with it. If botting were legal, I'd expect the vast majority of Runescape players to bot themselves.

I'm sure this has been said before, but you used to be able to close the bank doors on RSC. Then one day Jagex did a mass banning of bots and the people who botted retaliated by creating bots which stood outside of bank doors closing them whenever they were opened so people couldn't get in (while spamming "Unban the cheaters!").

I remember reading somewhere that it was theoretically possible to get a party hat as a PVP drop a few years ago. I don't know if there was any validity to that, but there you go.

Make Runescape downloadable, which would also include a bot detection system.

Yes, Jagex can price goldsellers out of the market. I don't know why anyone thinks they can't. Theoretically, if Jagex were to simply give people money, all goldselling sites would shut down.
