The only thing that I took out of that story was that Jagex only cares about their high level players. In both of your stories Jagex caring revolved around people on the top page of the highscores. Once again, this generally doesn't happen to the lesser folk (as myself) that play the game.

Ooooow, never seen that before :lol: My guess is the installer hasn't installed a correct ocx or dll (no big deal) just run the installer again, and also run this installer as well, this should fix your problem, let me know how it goes. The second installer fixed the problem. I liked the Background image for it lol :P Program looks nice. Thanks! And keep up the good work.

So they listen to 10%. What about the other people they listen to? Thats still putting you in a 10 to 1 ratio. If Jagex has like 5000 employees... that puts you within 50000 people. Congrats. I'm confused at your feelings of entitlement. That was a made up statstistic, I'll be honest. But the replies I do receive were all through customer support, which of course is not the place I should be using to contact Jagex. If I had a mod that asked me questions, or would answer any question I had, and treated me like a player rather then a customer, because Im treating them like a player rather then a staff person, I wouldn't have anything to gripe about. (Im speaking of in game, because this is where the player - staff interaction should take place, not via customer support queries)

I think it's great that Jagex mods talk to you, but I wish they'd talk to more of the veteran players. I've been playing for 6 years now, and Jagex staff ignore 90% of my comments/ignore me when I PM them when they rarely sign in on my friends list. Now if you could enlighten me with your secrets of how you get them to talk to you, I may not be so negative. But most players don't, and my opinion goes unchanged.

Great Article. Maybe we'll see more of this creativeness and imaginativeness that you spoke of seen kept around in the game when Jagex get its new head. We'll see. I think this new head of Runescape is going to have a lot of changes for the game. EDIT: After reading Bari's comment I realized that Runescape doesn't really have any cliffs... Although I agree with you, I don't blame Jagex for distancing themselves. If I were Jagex staff, I most certainly wouldn't be the first to volunteer to go into P2p (never mind F2p) to create this staff->player link. Whenever a mod pops up it's mass chaos, spam, and annoyances. If everyone treated them like they were a regular player then maybe they wouldn't have disapeared off the face of the map.

Me? Oh no, I'm lazy when it comes to combat. I'll be 110+ after 99 Hunter however. I plan to do some intense Slayer/Summoning. (I want 100 Combat F2P before I start Summoning however)

Hell, sounds like a good idea to me. I'm not entirely sure about the consequences bit. You might not be aware of the circumstances that go on with a "rule breaker" and could use up your chances/get a black mark when all you had was good intentions. Looks good though, I don't have any complainants. Just maybe have something else, like a side quest for you to use the report system. I don't think it should contribute to the quest cape.

Question: How long does it take to update? It still says I'm 86 Hunter #-o Suggestion: To have more of a variety and give more users the ability to get on the list, Why not take the top 500 of each skill. That way there will still be a huge diversity rather then th 500 best.

And people don't like randoms... I had 4 lamps and about 8 Str Pots Only took me 6 years to get off my lazy rear to get this milestone :thumbsup:

[/hide] What was the point? People wonder why Jagex's customer service is slow and informal, its because people find it funny to do stupid and pointless messages (SPAM). Yeah, that's not funny. It's just stupid. Hah. I found the humor in it. I've sent plenty of messages to Jagex about the most random things. You get some pretty good responses. Trust me, ask them about purple flying elephants and an upcoming update. hilarious!

No offense, but you may as well scrap v1.3 After the Graphic Update everyone is going want their picture with the new detail mode, it will probably be easier starting over. Just my 2 cents though :geek:
