  1. At least you were able to report them, I usually come across people talking rascism in my own language because I use the Amsterdam worlds. There's no point in reporting them because the chance that the one reading the report knows Dutch is slim to none :x
  2. Yep it happens to me sometimes aswell, im just standing there, everything else is moving perfectly normal but my character just stays there then suddenly jolts(after awhile) the opposite way or back and forth etc. Yup that happens to me aswell. When it happened for the first time I just kept clicking different spots to make me move, but the game remembers every click you make... when I moved again, I went all over my minimap to every spot I had clicked :x P.S. If you need a replacement ring of wealth, just get me a d stone, I'll make you one. My rsn is pinguin333, I'll be on in about half an hour.
  3. What about agility? Sure it's not that much fun to start your membership with (even though the screaming gnome coaches are quite fun), but when you want to do 50+ quests being able to run a lot is a BIG advantage. Some of the easier quests even have an agility requirement and others have agility xp for reward. That might be a nice thing to add to your guide, which quests require agility levels and which quests give agility xp, and maybe how many laps on the gnome course get you to lvl 20 (very optional, just thinking out loud). Very nice looking guide, but I think you're a bit over the top with the recommended levels to become a member. Personally I joined members at 81 cb and 900+ total, but I soon found that I could have joined at an earlier stage and would have had the same amount of fun, or even more then training those levels on f2p. Also 3M cash? I think there's very little f2pers that have more then 1M cash AND full rune, heck I know a ton of members that don't even have that. If you keep this guide alive and keep adding stuff to it, there's a good possibility it will end up in the archive of wisdom.
  4. I thought about this a while ago, but was thinking more along the lines of a special attack restore prayer, that has a double a double restore rate for the special attack like rapid heal with hitpoints and stat restore for all stats except combat.
  5. Dds will win most favourite special hands down, I mean you can spec 4 times, the power of the weapon is increased and to top it of you can do 6 poison damage too  Close second best will probably be the d mace, you can hit amazing high numbers with it and you get 4 tries aswell. Whip special is probably worst. Whenever I train with a whip I allways bring a dds to spec, then switch back to the whip. D scimmy spec is pretty worthless too, never liked it.
  6. I've done dt when I was about 62-63 slayer, and didn't get a lizards task ever (73 slayer now). If I were you I'd do dt and hope for those dust devils tasks. Even though the chances for a d chain are very small, the chance is still there.
  7. Rofl I think that everytime someone tries to get me when treasure trailing or abyss rcing. When I've finished my trail I can't help but sing this song in my head from the first Shrek movie: I made it through the wildernis!/Oh, how I made it through-oooh-ooo  I'm looking forward to the minigame with the teams vs NPC's, I just hope it won't die down like the shade temple has (only a couple of worlds active on peak times, outsides peak times none  ). I'm hoping for mixed tasks so any combat lvl can help out, even quietly hoping for some boss to stop you/your team from destroying the mentioned "evil gate" that would require a couple lvl 90+/100+ people to take down. Probably not going to happen but hey, one can still dream. I'm a bit dissapointed by the Easter preview. An equipable item is so much better then an emote. I wanted Bunnyslippers!!
  8. I really got a weird feeling about killing the hopeless monsters, like kicking someone that was already down :? Anyways this quest is a bit too easy. I read somewhere that it was a "combat heavy quest" so I thought I'd scout the area first with just a whip and 10 sharks. I finished the quest without banking for supplies and only ate 1 shark
  9. Man, I feel kinda torn between loving this and hating this. N0valyfe started around the same time I did (maybe a month before me) and is now 550 lvls and 250M xp ahead of me. That is an amazing achievement and I look up to that in some way. Then again, he gave up everything else in his life to do this and that is something I'd never want to do (again  ). There have been times when I played as much as he and failed some courses because of it. I never want to be in that position again. For this I look down on him because there should be more to life then sitting behind a computer all day, no matter how much you like it. All in all I'd say this is an amazing achievement, but I would never want to be like him. Spring is coming, so I'll be gaming a lot less and playing a lot more basketball, outside, in the sunshine

I'd love to get me some bunny slippers :P
  11. Sshhhh! Don't spread the word, now they will all want a piece of sunshine and runescape will be empty before you know it  Welcome back, one can never resist the calling for long...
  12. ROFL good stuff, good stuff, when you try to convince someone that you are jagex staff at least use correct spelling. I loved the 'is it better grammar for you?' part  You even insisted on it being included  P.S. You're actually not allowed to show the name of the 'alledged' scammer, so if you don't want a mod to remove your picture you should edit the name out.
  13. For some quests you need to gather some low level items, for the 100th quest for example you need raw chickens and cooked meat. I don't mind getting that stuff myself, but some high level people consider themselves too high level to gather that stuff. So they rather overpay you for getting it then undergoing the shame of killing a chicken themselves  You gotta love seeing them standing in a bank yelling 'buying raw chicken 1k' for over 10 minutes, getting more frustrated by the second, while they could have just teled to anywhere near a chicken pen (varrock/fally) and killed their own chicken

alching a d hally is actually a whole lot more fun then alching a whip, trust me
  15. Reading this I know what I'll be doing tomorrow, find the pass to one of my noob accounts and do the Sheep shearer quest. Penguins rule, no doubt about it 8)
  16. rsn: pinguin333 reason for you to invite me: I can be a fun guy to hang out with on rs, you'll surely remember your party when I'm there. Also, I'm kinda looking for a free whip since my best irl friend fell for the clan trust scam and refused to play ever since. It's just no fun to play a game without friends. A small piece of advice: Invest in a santa/mask and keep it in your bank, if you do decide to come back you'll have something to start from.
  17. Don't you know? 116 is a very unlucky number, you should avoid saying 116, writing 116 or even thinking 116 as much as possible. Oh noes  You made me say 116 a lot of times! Aaah! I said it again! I'm doomed, doomed I tells ya! OK, ok, it's spam. But you have to admit it put a little smile to your face. :)
  18. Exactly what I was thinking. I have completed all quests, I have a reputation among my rs friends to be the first one to complete newly released quests. But when I just became a member I looked through that immense list and thought I was never going to finish it. I thought the gloves were a bit overpowered aswell, but when you would start with a fresh members account, even when you'd get high combat on f2p, it would take you at least 3 months to complete the 100th quest, if not longer. Therefor the gloves are a matching reward for the efford you put into having a high qp. Now if only qp would show on the highscores list...
  19. I will like to see an apology by this immature person. This is a discussion for a possible improvement for the game. I simply point out some negative, and you verbally abuse me. What's the point of flaming me? How does this contribute to the conversation? If you are looking for an apology you're looking at the wrong person here... it was Eelspremiers' statement, not mine. I was actually partly on your side with that statement about this tournament idea encouraging/causing violation of the real world item trade rule.
  20. History/Discovery channel ftw 8) mythbuster ownage... how do i blow up something... and im not gr8 at english... but its a nice way to train my english spelling... from writing massages like these  but just talking about something in rs is fine... (plz dont flame about my english :P ) lol yea the mythbusters. Favourite episode: the cement truck. They figured out that the myth wasn't true about 5 minutes after the start of the show and they just kept going with the different explosives. And at the end of the show they completely disintegrated the truck just for the fun of it  I'm sure I parked it here  And about this being good English training... it sure is. When people complain about your spelling just remember: your English is a hundred times better then their Dutch, so untill they write you something in perfect Dutch, they have no right to complain
  21. Hmm, yes I think you learn from rs, but you should definately keep in mind that people behave differently on rs then they would in real life. Why? Internet annonimity. I can be anyone I ever want to be on rs, I can be an obnoxious 8 year old, playing dumb and whining for free stuff, I can be a 80 year old guy in a wheelchair having his 1 hour internet time of this week. I can be male, female anything I feel like doing, just create a new account and you're good to go. Just check back with yourself and your behaviour on rs, would you do everything you do on rs in real life? And I'm talking social interactions here, not pounding someones head in with a greataxe. If I look at my behaviour, it's mostly the same as in real life. I help people that ask me something, I go out of my way to help out friends. But on rs I can also be more abusive then I would normally be, if you happen to be the 3rd guy asking me for 'free st00f pl0x' and you start following me, you'd better be prepared for some top-notch flaming. I'd never do that in real life, I'd ignore that person, walk away from it, not confront him. Probably most of the behaviour you see on rs is people doing whatever they want and getting away with it because there's absolutely no consequences. If you'd go around town begging for stuff and kept following people, you'd be socially outcast in no time. On rs however you can just switch worlds and go bother someone else. Things I did learn from rs are how to talk English properly, that even though you've never met someone you can be good friends anyways, that anonimous people are not to be trusted under any circumstance and that playing a lot is good for your online rank on the social ladder, but bad for your real life rank on the social ladder. Since I'm currently prefering my ranking on the real life social ladder I don't play as much as I used to :D
  22. The people selling their account because they're quitting are quite rare, or are people with 70cb, with completely balanced levels thinking they have the best account out there. Those weren't the people I was thinking about. The people I was thinking about are the people that don't play runescape for fun but are just here for the cold hard cash. They get a load of lvl 3 accounts fishing sharks, picking flax, chopping yews/magics or mining coal, sell it to 'real' players and sell their gathered rs millions on ebay. Combat training can't be done by a bot yet (as far as I know), even though high alching and camelot tele can easily be done by autoclickers. I think that when there would be a runescape competition for real money, more and more people would like to have a high combat account or a pure, not necessarily as their main, but just for the competition. Clans competing would benefit hugely from a steady supply of pures and even though many clans wouldn't buy them, there's allways people that don't care about the rules. They wouldn't even have to tell their clan it's a bought account. So now that there's a need for high combat accounts and pures, people will fill that need. Instead of selling your millions you made from your bots on ebay, they could train up a pure and sell it for even more. Or if you don't have money from autoing you could merchant a bit and from the profits train up an account. Because it is not that hard getting 99 mage, just time consuming (which can be circumvented by an autoclicker) and you could just get 94 mage and be able to cast all spells. 99 range is harder to get, but you can camp out at the firegiants from lets say 50+ range. Combat training is hardest but 70 attack and a high strength level are, when you know where to train and have the determination, not that hard to get. Sorry for having a pessimistic view on this, but I think that it is just human nature to try and get an unfair headstart when competing. This creates a need for accounts on ebay and in my experience people will jump to the oppurtunity to try and make a lot of money of that need. The fact that there already is a market for rs money and accounts on ebay actually (and sadly) strengthens (sp?) my point.
  23. I think any person (or idiot) can relise there is a difference between selling an account or item for real life money then winning money off a competiton through having a better character than other people. I think people are smart enough to relise the difference between these two things and a bad example is thus not relevent. I think the trading for real life items is relevant in another way. If real money could be made of having a high level runescape account, some people would want to 'invest' in that moneymaking opportunity. I have got no clue as to how much a runescape account costs on ebay, but when you could make money of fighting with your high lvl account, people would want to go and buy themselves one and try and make money with it. Most of the competitions and tournaments for real money are all about skill. All people start out every game with the same character and your experience with the game and your fast fingers decide whether you will win or lose. With rs you don't all start out the same every game because your progress is saved to your account. Therefor part of your skill is what combat lvl your character is. Level requirements weren't invented for nothing. This way you can buy rs skill which would give you an unfair headstart. By doing this JaGex would actually encourage the trading of accounts. This is something they'd never want to do and therefore this idea will never happen.
  24. trust me.... the monkeys are EVIL not pettable. There are monkeys that are over 100 combat... still wanna pet them? Their combat lvl isn't your biggest problem, the fact that they gang up on you with 4-5 archers at a time is.
  25. Hmm, I'm not completely sure about this, but I think I got a half key from the mystery box. I had no idea you could get stuff like onions or cabbage from the box, I've only had the event twice and got an uncut ruby and a half key (if I remember correctly :? )
