Your top 5 fave rpgs? Not mmo.
I can't say which my favourite as they all are. FF 1 to 6 all have so much replay value and character building. Crono trigger, a legend if you've not played it play it now! Harvest Moon: Back to Nature, this one ate thought about a year of my life and I still didn't finish it. Pokemon (Blue/Red to Gold/Silver), one of the hardest games to complete fully and another year of wasted time. Near played the Zelda games, but I'm thinking of buying so off the Wii VC.

Help upgrading my RAM
Correct me if I'm wrong, but Windows 2000 is still in use a lot today and will allow you to use the system scanner as well as ActiveX and the newer versions of Java. Yes the newer OS's are ram hogs, but if all this guy does is surf the web I don't see why he would need more then 1gb on 2000, XP or linux, or more then 2gb on Vista.

Giving away Half Life 2 for PC
Ok, I previously brought a Half Life 2 and Counter Strike Source bundle, then I got the orange box which has left me with an extra copy of Half Life 2. If anyone has a steam account and doesn't have Half Life 2 I will send you it as a gift. I only have one copy of its first person to want it gets it. Enjoy. EDIT: My copy when to Brad.

More help (With graphics card)
No don't overclockers prices are silly on most stuff when compared to dabs.com, scan.co.uk (my personal favourite) and ebuyer.com. You should be looking at atleast a 1650XT or 7600GT.

Help upgrading my RAM
Before I recommend adding X amount of ram; What do you use your PC for? What OS are you using (Vista, XP, ect)?

vista
When Vista first came out the drivers for both ATI and nVidia left a lot to be desired. Vista had a 50% loss of FPS on some games with a average between 10 to 20% loss in FPS, when compared to the same games at the same settings on XP. Luckily both ATI and nVidia have sorted this out. Currently there are very few games which are Vista only (and very few which give any reason to go to Vista, sure a few DX10 features are good, but people have found ways of getting them on XP) meaning a lot of gamers aren't bothering to switch over to Vista until they have to as it means they will have to spend money (not just on the OS, but hardware too). As for getting Vista is a pretty good OS, nothing amazing but it does its job and has matured to be a decent XP replacement (I'm still holding off :P ).

New computer ordered!!!
GPU should have been this. 8800GT 512mb a lot cheaper and performs better. CPU should have been this (Same model only the black edition - it runs cooler and extremely overclockable.) You would have to buy a seperate heatsink, but they cost next to nothing and would be quieter then the stock one. You should have picked this motherboard as it has a newer chipset and SLi for only a few Euros more. I can't fault the Ram, case, DVD and HDD. Good luck with the build and I hope you haven't actually ordered those parts you listed yet.

Is it legal ? ( NoScript for FF problem )
Sorry to nit pick but your wrong. RuneScape's rule 15 states So yes by hiding the ads you are breaking the rules, but it is nearly impossible for Jagex to find out if your blocking them.

Built a new computer, PCi slots dont fit correctly.
This is going to sound like a stupid question but, you did fit the motherboard spacers on the case? (The little screws which stop the back of the motherboard from touching the case) If you did make 100% sure your trying to fit a PCI card in a PCI slot (a common mistake as some slots look similar), when you say it only fits half way in do you mean the front/back end or the whole card. It would help if you stated the motherboard, case and card your trying to fit.

Firewall Suggestions
1)Zonealarm Basic (the free one) is solely a firewall. If you need extra protection get avg or avast, Spyboy S&D and Ad-aware Free (all completely free of course) 2)Without you go on a lot of dodgy sites and download a lot of questionable files then you should be find with Windows Firewall, its not the best but its free and will do a decent job.

Detecting the existance of URL arguments? (PHP)
Personally I would use if(!empty($_GET['page'])) { require($_GET['page']); } else { require('main.php'); } empty() works better then isset() in this case and personally I always use require() instead of include().

PSU over wattage = bad?
As blade955 said the answer is no. The worst that can happen is you end up spending a few $ (or ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã) extra a year on your electricity bill. Generally the higher wattage the PSU is the more room you have for upgrades/additions. However a solid 620W PSU can out perform a cheaper lesser quality PSU which has higher wattage.

I didn't want to post this but...
I could very well be the PSU, however I would try cleaning inside the PC of dust and generally junk, as it could be a problem with it overheating.

Odd problem with WoW
When you got the new graphics card did you; *Remove the drives for your old card *Install the latest drives for your new card. *Disable your old card. More then likely you just need to update the drivers to the card. Just go to nVidia's site and follow the instructions.

Whats with my browsers??
I would either renew the subscription or get rid of MacAfee and install either Avast Free or AVG Free. A anti virus without up to date definitions is like using a single bucket of water on a full grown forest fire, it makes you fell safe but does very little. The issue is how the browsers are connecting to the internet not the connection itself. What seems to be happening is swiftswitcher is using one set of rules to get to the internet whereas the browsers are using another. I'm not sure how you would check how swiftswitcher is connecting to the internet, but I recommend you find out it is and use the same settings for IE. If IE then works try the same with FF.

Whats with my browsers??
Ok check how IE is connecting to the internet first.[hide=Checking how IE is connecting to the internet] \/The second window (on the right) appears when you click "LAN settings" Without your on a proxy your settings should be the same as the above image, it they aren't change them and click ok. Then close IE and try again.[/hide]

Windows users....
Damn I love topics which invite flaming. The eternal mac Vs PC has begun of tip.it :wall: . IMO Macs are for people; *Who follow the crowd *Believe everything people tell them *Are easily scared *Think of themselves as massively arty It annoys me when Mac users start preaching, if you can do it on a Mac you can do it on a PC, if you can do it on a PC there's a chance of a Mac might be able to do it.

Whats with my browsers??
Sounds like you have changed the internet options within IE and FF. You need to set the connection options to whatever your normally using.

What is your dream computer?
The graphics card makes it a hyper CAD machine, but its worthless gaming wise, plus there are better cad gpus out there. I could spend ages posting my dream PC, but that would be a waste  .We all know a supercomputer will win.

How to build Rune Scape ?
First of you would need to learn C/C++ then the relevant language, Java in this case. Then you would need to program the game (you would be best getting a group of programmers to help you here). Then you need to create a site to host and publish the game. You need to beta the game to a select number of people and work out any bugs. Once its ready publish the game. When enough people are playing start charging for membership. Then you need to constantly bug check, moderate and develop the game. Time wise; Learn and master the programming languages; at least 2 years (might seem a while, but the more you know now the less time the game will take) Creating the game; depends, but I would expect 1 year + Site, beta testing and publishing; 2 to 6 months. Time for the game to become popular; 4 to 12 months. Bug checking, moderating and developing; A lifetime. So you looking at 4 years + before it becomes profitable. Note this is from scratch and merely an estimate. Note. Note. Once you start charging you can then start hiring staff to lessen the work load.

.
The Pc has on-board graphics (what you would expect for the base PC) which will be fine for nearly everything expect gaming (old games should play fine, but newer ones will have a lot of trouble.) For fifa 08 you will more then likely need a new graphics card, this one costs $67 after rebates and will allow you to play modern games on medium to high settings (depending on the resolution). The sound will be on-board, but it will be decent and without your really into sound you won't need to do upgrade it every. For the money is a good PC for general usage.

Recommend me an antivirus?
Ok Anti Virus; Avast free or AVG free, both are great. (I'm using AVG Free) Anti spy/mal/adware; Spybot S&D and Ad-Aware, those two will take out 99% of spy/ad/mal ware. Firewall: Zonealarm basic (free) Anti Phishing; IE7 or Firefox (I prefer Firefox) Internet security: Use common sense failing that use Firefox, install these add-ons adblock plus, no-script, McAfee site advisor and customize google (remove those annoying links to spam sites). That should do. However the best protection is common sense, if a site looks iffy don't download from it or give it your details. PS all the above are completely free.

Is this computer worth buying?
It will be fine for RS and movies however you willl want to invest in a better graphics card a better graphics card in order to plat the newer games. This is a cheap card ($67 after rebates) which will increase the gaming performance a lot. This one performs a little better, but supports the new DX10 which is used in the lastest games (not needed to play them though) and Vista $99.

Graphics Card Problems
Normally I would point to the PSU, but it may also be over heating. If you could state the make and model of the PSU it would help.
