Members quest completed the most times?
kdb148 replied to Muscular_Ape's topic in General Discussion
It's definitely not lost city. Tons of members start out not being able to wield a dragon weapon, or even complete the quest. Skillers will never do it at all. On the other hand, you can do druidic ritual at any level. It's a short, simple quest that you need before you can even try the herblore skill. I'm willing to bet that just about every single member wants to at least try every members' skill. The sheer number of those who can do druidic ritual and not lost city is probably in the tens of thousands. So it almost certainly druidic ritual, since there isn't a quest that can be done at any level with such a good, important reward. -
Don't sell anything to the general store. 60 gp per nature rune might seem like a lot at first, but it isn't.

It will take approximately 1700 yew trees, which comes out to about 136m if you figure 80k per seed. Once you get to level 75, which will take around 100 yew seeds, you could switch to magic seeds. It would take half the time, around 860 magic seeds. But those will cost you around 150 mil or so. So if you want to do it as fast as possible, I'm afraid 100 mil won't be enough.

Clarify in the opening post, that the tree patch in gnome stronghold is a fruit tree patch. The closest regular tree patch to a bank is in Falador park. Closest bush patch - Etceteria Closest hops patch - Yanille Closest Spirit tree patch - Etceteria Closest seaweed spawn - Piscatoris Closest sand pit - Yanille Closest willows - Draynor Closest fire giants - Smoke Dungeon

This is absolutely not true. You can use magic dart successfully on the melee brothers in metal armor because they have a really low magic defense. I would say, scrap the magic gear, and just bring melee and range. Use slayer dart for all 4 melee brothers, while wearing your rune armor. Only pray vs. Dharok, eat against the rest. Range Ahrim with your dhide armor. Pray against Karil, mage him naked, save for your glory - I usually have to use a dose of prayer pot here. Your magic is a tad low, so maybe bring some simple magic gear like zammy robes, although you might be better off with with more food. You could alternately bring a whip for killing Karil, if you don't think your magic is up to the task. I personally go to Dharok first, and pray on him. Then I kill Karil, praying on him. Whatever prayer I have left, I use on Guthan. Then I go after the other 3, eating as necessary. If I can't use a safe spot for whatever reason and I have Dharok or Karil in the tunnels, I will need another dose of potion, possibly 2. This way, I only need 2 prayer pots, and I would just bring one, but sometimes I have enough left over for 2 runs before needing to bank and visit an altar.

If you grow herbs while you grow trees, you can easily recoup the cost of the tree seeds, plus a lot more if you take it all the way up to 99. I like to grow watermelons if I have the seeds handy, because you can sometimes get 25+ in a harvest. In a run, you can get an extra 5k or so farming exp by planting watermelons. Add in the 3-5k you get per run growing higher level herbs, and you are getting an extra 8-10k xp for the 10 minutes or so a farming run takes. The only downside to planting watermelons is that they have huge harvests, and you have to either drop a bunch of them, or stop in the middle of harvesting to bank them. I like to bank them at c wars, they come in handy as payment for jangerberry bushes and pineapple trees. Speaking of bushes, you should consider growing whiteberry and poison ivy bushes. You won't get a ton of exp, about 2k per run, but the berries you get will go well with the cadantine you grow, and the poison ivy will come in handy if you get your herblore up high enough.

You don't even need prayer for the tunnel. The rocks fall at fairly regular intervals, and you can just time it so that you stop under a ledge when the rocks are going to fall.

Not even close.

Yes, but getting 150k slayer exp solely with recoil rings is a hell of a lot less grueling than getting 13mil.
-
You have to do Shilo Village quest to get into Shilo. You need to start Fairy Tale part II to use fairy rings. Just use the general store to unnote your pure ess, it's really not a whole lot slower than fairy rings, and it's way faster than using the Shilo bank.

Could my guy do Dragon Slayer...? (Did it! Lock this.)

Range level? At those stats, you'd probably have more success ranging him. -
Yes, I am well aware of how the arzinian mine works. On a full world with no competition, there is very little waiting time in the crafting guild, and none if your mining is below 80 or so - and members worlds rarely have miners in the crafting guild. Hell, free worlds rarely have miners there that aren't autoers. Banking through cwars/skills necklace is much faster than running to the boatman. You probably save 30 seconds per load of ore in banking time using the crafting guild. Not to mention, you lose 4 ores per run to the arzinian mine, even with a ring of charos - 3 that the boatman takes as his fee, plus the inventory spot you have to leave open to remove your gold helmet. That means that for every 6 mining runs to the crafting guild, you have to do 7 runs to the arzinian mine to bank the same amount of gold. That means that, accounting for banking time and extra runs, the time for mining 27 ores in the arzinian mines would have to be less than 3/4 that of mining 28 ores in the crafting guild. That's a rough estimate using 1 minute as the respawn time for gold, but on a fairly crowded world this seems an accurate approximation to me. And there is no way it is that much faster - if a full load takes 4 minutes to get in the guild, it would have to take less 3 minutes in the arzinian mines in order for that to be a better place to mine. And I can tell you from lots of gold mining experience that it's simply not that much faster. Conclusion - if you have the jewelry, use the crafting guild. If you don't, the Brimhaven method mentioned above is probably also better than the arzinian mine - the gold helmet is so heavy that your run energy runs out extremely fast. That slows you down because the rocks are somewhat far apart in the arzininan mine. In the crafting guild and on Brimhaven, they are all right next to each other.

Wildy diary would be sweet. Some easy tasks: Craft some Chaos runes Recharge your prayer at one of the altars Mine some coal at the skeleton mine Kill a Dark Wizard Pull the lever to Ardougne Teleport to the abyss Cook on the bandits' range Jump over the wilderness ditch  Medium tasks: Kill a green dragon Mine some addy from the hobgoblin or pirate mine Open the muddy chest Do a lap on the agility course Dig for a treasure trail Obtain a God cape Catch a black salamander Hard tasks: Mine some runite Kill another player Gain the use of all 3 god spells outside the arena Use a wilderness teleport Hmm, actually, hard tasks are kind of hard to come up with, they'd have to be a bit more creative. I doubt Jagex wants to force people to kill the kbd or chaos elemental in order to complete an achievement diary.

There used to be some people that would habitually use world 60, but I don't know if they still do. That was a while ago, although they did try to make it into an "official" blast furnace world.

Gnome stronghold is OK. Tzhaar is a waste of time, it's always way too crowded. With a necklace of skills and a dueling ring, the crafting guild is your best bet. Probably better even than the Arzinian mine.

Yanille. You can start burning right outside the bank, and unlike cwars or rogue's den, you won't have to stop in the middle of doing your line of logs because you hit a wall. You can go straight the whole way. Seers is pretty much the same, but I prefer Yanille as it tends to be much less crowded, and I never see anyone making fires there.

Just mine and bank at either Varrock mine, it's fairly fast. If you really just want to dump it in a general store, then mine in Rimmington.

New lunar "Resting" spell already nerfed
kdb148 replied to DRUMINATOR17's topic in General Discussion
Using it was bug abuse, by the way. The people doing it had to realize that Jagex didn't intend that the spell give such an insane amount of experience. It was a bug, and using it is bug abuse, plain and simple. -
Thoughts on how the new lunar spells will affect slayer?
kdb148 replied to Latinoking's topic in General Discussion
Does anybody know how much exp you get for casting spell book swap? You could alch with lunar on your way to 99 magic to get a lot more exp, if the spell doesn't take too long and gives good exp. -
What will Runescape be like in 50 years? Or even 5?
kdb148 replied to n_odie's topic in General Discussion
There are already game franchises that have been around for 20+ years and are still really popular, so I don't think it's a stretch to think that some form of Runescape will still be around pretty far into the future. I think it's likely that the game will undergo several major face lifts in that time, to keep up with technology and changing tastes of gamers, so it is very unlikely that Runescape will continue in its current form for more than a few more years. I mean, if the game keeps growing in profitability, it's only a matter of time before the game franchise gets sold. Any company that buys it will use the name pretty much forever, as Runescape stands at the forefront of the MMORPG genre. The name alone is probably worth several million dollars to a prospective buyer. What they would do with that name is impossible to tell, but it makes sense that future incarnations of Runescape would tend to use similar themes and the same areas that currently exist, in order to keep current subscribers interested in a more advanced version of the current game. -
You're definitely at the best spot. You're much better off banking your ores, so don't bother going to powermine.
-
Cammy teleport will be a lot faster than fire bolt. You will be able to do about 13k teleports, which will get you to about 71 mage.
-
Almost all pkers have the same amount of honor and respect as rc pkers.
-
Actually, you can get another one from him - if you didn't finish the quest yet

Cosmics are more valuable than chaos runes, people buy tons of them for the mage training arena.
