  1. Not really on topic, but I disagree. Most people who make a lot of money are busy enough with their work and social network. Not sure if it's the same with gaming, but people without jobs are the ones who watch television the most. Im quite sure I've read somewhere that people who really don't make that much money, are the ones that are most likely to spend the few money they have on a big car or big television. Just to make you "look rich". That's why I'm quite sure that people who can play 12h a day AREN'T succesful working people, but more the people that have no job, or the ones with a non demanding 6h/day job (i.e. , you can go home and play RS all day).
  2. Bosses are NOT always behind key doors. Last dungeon we had one behind a puzzle room. Just saying.
  3. @Moocky: Your comment was completely unneeded anyway. Knitewulf, make a blog maybe? As you noticed, nobody but Bacon is posting ALL of their kills here. Just the ones with a nice story is good enough. For us outsiders, these kills don't really say anything.
  4. Use ToG or penguin points if you will unlock new floors with it (so you can go a bit higher before resetting your progress, and end up with higher prestige the next sweep of floors). For training, this gold mining + super heating seems too good to let go. Thieving and fletching are easy enough Runecraftnig is just grinding through ZMI Hunter is chins
  5. Good thing you got turmoil first. Use this turmoil to train your melee stats through slayer. If you want to have the best pots/familiars, you might also want the best stats. Getting 99 melees through slayer will be quite quick with turmoil, fero ring etc, and it should give you enough charms for 88 (block tasks that don't give charms or only golds (hellhounds)/ or tasks which are slow). Also, one goal doesn't exclude the other goal, if you train slayer. I mean, slayer gives your charms "for free", and seconds and shards aren't really all that expensive. You will end up with extra cash after 99 melees through slayer and 88+ summoning. You can use this cash to train herblore. An alternative would be to do waterfiends, which will get you 96 summoning while you get 99 melees. I would not do waterfiends however before 95 summoning so it's not really an issue (+ waterfiends would only give you around 100k profit an hour).
  6. I'm pretty sure it is. Try to get your hands on a SOL and that new +15% magic ammy. Battle robes would be cool too. Just let your friend do the normal TD'ing (range/melee) while you hit your 440s with fire surge (this is assuming you have overloads/extr mage/wolper).
  7. I've been soloing from lv16-44. The random people are normally very uncooperative and all they care about is picking up drops. So even if in a perfect theoretical way teams earn faster xp, I'm sure soloing is faster and more enjoyable, unless you know your team. I solod from 1 to 60 doing one dungeon in around 20 mins, getting like 12k xp an hour max. After that i resorted to RSOF 5:5 large dungeons and got ~35k per dungeon in ~1 hour 15 mins with much less work. This skill is defenitely team based and soloing is ridiculously undervalued. The teams on RSOF are always very well led and i have yet to be frustrated after doing around 12 5:5-s. By the way, why isn't primal warhammer mentioned at all? it's more accurate and a bit less powerful than the spear, but you do have the luxury of wering a kite. Also, spears are rubbish against plate bodied monsters. Cause making a kite is a waste of time.
  8. I have the 15% necklace and I can confirm it rocks. My max hit is 471 so far (in clan wars), but theoretically, 481 should be possible (30*1.15*1.15*1.21). I was also suprised on how accurate I still was on people in hides/karil. This was nicely illustrated in me 3 hitting a guy with the hits 458 456 + whatever what was needed to finish him off. Too bad this ammy is impractical to use in pvp (didn't check how it protects, but I don't think it will be valuable).
  9. Nope, any magic boost only affects one lob. At least, I heard people saying they didn't see any difference when the +% staves were introduced. Same for extreme mage pots, so I'd doubt it will be any different now. Sad though :(
  10. Rune platelegs and green dhide body is the most retarted thing I've ever seen, and I don't get how people can't think hard enough to come up with something better. This something better is called rune chainbody + green chaps. Higher def, same ranged attack. What else do you want?
  11. Don't wait too long with pressing take bob. If you character runs out of bones somewhere, he will stop. That's why it's better IMO to press "take bob" already once when you have like 15 open spaces, and the second time, when you can take the last 12-15 (i don't completely fill my yak). If you wait till the last moment, you might miss the right timing and have to press it anyway. Another tip: Withdraw one law and one dust rune (or home tele tab) every time, don't keep a huge stack. When you tele to edge/cwars, first withdraw all bones (27, 1 spot for tinderbox) and put them in the Yak. Then withdraw 1 law, 1 dust rune, 2 marrentils, and rest bones and off you go. Better thank banking 3 times, and this way you get 2 more spaces in the Yak.
  12. Nice. I for one didn't know bosses are always behind key doors. I did know most of the other stuff though, but this will be very helpful for beginners.
  13. It's not useless for f2p, it'd be good for Pvp rangers, since the next best thing (maple shortbow) is almost completely useless against even the lesser rune armour pieces (med, chain, sq) But I suppose that is the only time it's really usefull  I meant p2p -.-
  14. Definitely get the new necklace. I just got it, and it absolultely owns! Imagine the necklace, staff of light, slayer helmet AND extreme mage pots/overloads/wolperting scrolls. I'm already hitting over 470 without the slayer helmet with ice barrage. Also, the skill is very fun to lvl IMO (actually too damn addicting, I should study ffs).
  15. Haha, player made crap. :-) I can see where you are coming from, and I somehwat understand, but for me the raw stats are more convincing than some uncomfortable feeling somewhere inside. I like to be the moss efficiënt, that's what does it for me, tbh.
  16. "Kite enemies" ?
  17. Pfft, I wouldn't even thinkg about picking it up tbh.
  18. Hydras range, have you guys never used it? That's why it's weak to slash, try it. It has hides, you know.
  19. Doesn't the spear hit as fast as the rapier? In that case, spear >> rapier. More strength, more accuracy, same speed (? ), all styles Shields are pretty useless IMO. Not worth the time to go out to make them at least. That's why I prefer 2 handed weapons, they have better bonuses. (and there is no rune defender to make up for the one handed weaopns). And yeah, I don't understand your choice for the shield at all, but I don't understand a lot of things about you lol (like how you bore yourself out of your mind (note: I'm quoting yourself here, you said thims somewhere) to get 100 whips drops)
  20. Seems pretty useless in f2p indeed. If only it was on shortbow, it might be useful.
  21. bedman replied to My_Eggs's topic in Help and Advice
Yes it is worth it. Not only for the super antifires, also because of the fact that extreme pots won't be far away either. And once you get those, overloads won't be far. For the KBD: I wouldn't suggest unicorn, because you won't be able to bank the hides and bones then. Unless you have a yak (and maybe even then) lava titan is the best. You can be back before it spawns again. Some people tele back every kill, allthough that is overkill IMO.
  22. Sorry for double post. Anyway, arcane stream necklace is just awesome. I'm hitting 471 with ice barrage so far. Besides that... Choatic, I fear
  23. What has the rogue to do with 20k diamonds? As far as I know, they were just merched (or diamond bolts were merched) and all of the diamonds were cut into diamond bolt tips anyway. Not made into some stupid necklaces that sell for 5 (? ) k?
  24. Can you re-attach it to another bow? (maple longbow for f2p)
  25. This is why you wait for the stream necklace :-) This gear would seriously own in pvp.
