One name change on going to members would be a good idea, convert a badly named but good F2P stats character into a better named member.

Don't think it slows down, but I think it makes the spots move more often if they are heavily fished.

I assume that "tank" = Full deagonhide, or the alternate of a rune chainbody (better against melee counterattack). The green body has some attack bonus, but not enough to conter the combat level increase. Doing Dragon Slayer at 34 defence brings defence up to 40 (or a few XP short of) to enable wearing full dragonhide, but it's tough for a F2P ranger as the shield constrains you to a basic crossbow, unless you can dodge and attack with a better bow. You might survive one grilling without the shield. As a 1 def pure, the body has to be plain leather or iron chain. 10 Defence may be worth considering - an extra 2.75 combat levels from defence, but the hard leather body has an attack of +8 instead of +2, equivalent to 3 extra levels of ranged combat - and it's a cheap item.

Mud Runes: = Water and Earth - top of that piece says Air & Earth - I think that's the last one of those little errors.

http://www.gtopala.com/ - SiW (System Information Wizard) should tell you what video card (or perhaps onboard video) you have. It may need a driver update.

Did you go right to the end of the dialog when you began the quest - you cannot take shortcuts with quest or event dialogs. Talk to Redbeard again, carefully... but first, see if it'll let you LHP teleport back with the rum.

Looking at :uhh: RHQ's Canifis city guide... The Canifis gloves (all are identified as just "gloves") - Grey, Red, Gold, Blue-green, Purple (tradable F2P, same stats as leather) The other gloves are: Leather (player made or found/bought) White/Mime (random event, untradable, no stats) Dull green/Zombie (random event, untradable, no stats) Skeleton (Halloween 2006, replacable if lost, no stats) And finally: Vambraces - worn in place of gloves, with Green dragonhide being the best F2P "gloves" for range or melee.

Maybe put "Rune Mysteries" under Runecrafting (as "0, but required") -

Loading up with bars, walking to Dorics, and forgetting the hammer, or to the air altar without a tally or tiara. And another one, having left the bank without coins and needing a general store item or a Karamja fare, thinking it's faster to fight something than walk back. -
Whatever works for you... I guess pure skillers got a real boost with skill capes, a level 3 doing skill cape animations would be cool. Equally cool would be a decent combat character with no support skill levels, though that would mean buying in all equipment and food. With good skills on a normal combat character, you don't stand out unless you really max out.

Assorted levels, the lowest level catablepons are level 49, but the level 50 spiders in the same area can waste time. The Ankou also vary in level. NB. Catablepons can hit 6 (melee) while also throwing weakens. Ankou can hit 8.

If WMP can handle it, it handles it, otherwise: For MP3 / Shoutcast: Always used to use FreeA*P (Zinf). I'm now leaning towards Foobar for MP3, having started using it for AACplus streams.

Answering random trades just in case anything interesting might be on offer (it never is!) -
If you often follow links, prefetching may work, if you rarely follow links, it's just a waste. Eg. if you jump to about 10 sites from favourites, perhaps make a home page on your ISP with them as links - then prefetching should have them pulling in ready. If you download simultaneously, if you share a connection on a router, then prefetching wastes capacity. I tried Google web accelerator (prefetch disabled) when my ISP proxies (NTLWORLD, notorious for proxy troubles) were even worse than usual, but didn't notice any improvement, but did notice an incredible amount of "chatter" between its components in my firewall, enough to cause disk thrashing on the logfile. Dumped GWA pretty fast. I think if you use GWA with Fasterfox, probably best to turn off enhanced prefetch in the fox, as they would probably be doubling up - other tunings could probably be used.

Level 31 is my last recollection, when blessed (must be strung first) it gives a prayer boost which makes prayer last longer, and +2 to defence. Little market for blessed symbols, as any player wanting to extend prayer normally has a high enough level to get them blessed, anf the other levels needed are not huge (ideally, able to mine & smelt silver, plus craft symbols).

Since the dragonhide body also has an attack bonus, that goes some way to countering the 10 level penalty compared to 1 defence, with the bonus increasing for members higher level dragonhide - can you turn down +28 attack (black D-hide body - leather body). It's less clear cut for the lower d-hides, with the green body only adding +13 and not really justified for its attack contribution. Prayer, with the new ranged prayers, also adds to ranger power, more so in members, as it can be recharged using potions.

Other possible targets are ducks (plenty of them even if a curse does take), or the Chasm mine scorpions from the rim. The caged Zamorak Monk shakes off any curse hits really fast, but there's only one and it's not multi. Throwing curses around in a busy multicombat monster pile is another option, since it will be killed and respawn soon, even if a curse hits, and if already in combat, it will stay fixed on the first attacker as you don't damage it. Unless you hate hitpoints, burning off a K of firestrikes from a safespot is a lot less clicking, and may get some drops.

The difference in combat level increases. so at higher levels, you cab be attacked by players more levels above you, and can attack players more levels below you (you wouldn't choose to attack someone of much higher level, unless you believed them to be out of food). The other issue with level, most teleports are unusable beyond level 20. The Amulet of Glory teleports work up to level 30, but the dialog can be interrupted by an attack. If you can make the best canoe (woodcutting), then canoe to the pond in the marshlands and take the green dragons near the lava maze. Then run down to level 20 and tele out. NOT the western ones, it not IN multi-combat, very close to it. PS. Don't forget the anti-dragonfire shield!

Ultimate High level f2p melee training guide
Doomster replied to Lord_Gromit's topic in General Guides
Run to Al-Kharid bank can now be switched to "go to the bank at the top of Lumbridge castle". The LHP teleport saves a little time, but won't save your skin, but it's probably not worth carrying tele runes when you're beyond teleport range for most of the trip. If worried about PKers in the wilderness trip, it may be worth compromising the outfit further, to be certain which 4 good items (with protect item on) you will keep, and the others you won't care about losing. Pieces with high mage defence may also be worth substituting. And finally, in single combat wilderness monster locations, make use of monster protection, I've had a PKer waiting to engage me at the skeleton mine, took a skeleton, and then made a running break... PKer never touched me! -
Player-Made Equipment: Needs Attention?
Doomster replied to Myweponsg00d's topic in General Discussion
Maybe setting a gem in the handle, possibly enabling the weapon to be enchanted with similar effect to an amulet (but combinable with a worn amulet boost). Enchanted weapons untradable. -
No difference, train whatever style works best on your target. One thing, training range first mens you can switch form iron legs to studded (20), green d-hide (40) - both are better in melee than iron. For balance, attack + strength would be 50% higher than range or magic. It's worth cursing magic, even if you don't combat with it, as it increases magic resistance

It's not that Minotaurs drop a lot at once, but that they are quite generous with those drops. Most other things that CAN drop arrows, don't drop them as often. The level 30 Zombies on the next floor can be resonable steel arrow droippers, more so if a bunch of melee fighters are leaving arrow drops on the floor

can somebody tell me for what is needed the muddy key
Doomster replied to arber123's topic in Help and Advice
http://tip.it/runescape/?page=key_guide.htm#m Opens a chest in the Lava maze (wilderness!) http://tip.it/runescape/?page=lava_maze.htm The Muddy chest contains an Uncut Ruby, a Mithril bar, a Mithril dagger, an Anchovy Pizza, 2 Death runes, 2 Law runes, 10 Chaos runes and 50gp. Is it worth delving into deep wilderness for? PS. The area is F2P, only the dungeon gate is P2P. -
Full Zombie on my main, and frog tokens on most of the others... Threw away enough pieces for full Lederhosen (The forester was about as common as frogs when it first came out).

I've used Camstudio - http://www.camstudio.org/blog/ - the announcement... 2.2 is dead, hail 3.0 when it arrives) My best results so far have bee with the Alparysoft lossless codec, but I'll have to try the MSU one mentioned in the blog. This is the program whai started at Atomixbuttons, then went to Rendersoft (freeware, open source), then got entangled with Ehelp as a registerware 2.1 version that was inferior to 2.0. Anyway, a quick user review... this program ticks MOST of the boxes for me, but on a 3.2GHz P4, it does run into frame rate issues - capture of the full RS screen is limited to about 10-12 fps, whil the action area only can hit 15 fps (this is 32 bit colour - it's faster in 16 bit). It is also worth testing the selected capture codec, as it sometimes fails to properly select, though is reliable once working.
