  1. Regular rune essence is mined by: 1. All F2P (not sure if that also covers members in F2P worlds) 2. Members with less than 30 mining Rune essence can be use to make all F2P craftable runes: Air, Mind, Water, Earth, Fire, Body Pure essence, mined by members with at least 30 mining, is required for: * All higher level runes * Astral runes * Combination runes It can be used for lower runes, or traded in F2P, but has no advantage. Members crafting lower runes may find it advantageous to sell the pure essence they mine, and buy bulk normal essence in F2P worlds.
  2. Airs are another possibilty - the lowest XP, but at 4x airs per ess and always in demand, probably the highest cash. Using runners at that level, would mean a loss, though maybe a tolerable one if you mine the ess instead of buying. Multiple runes do not increase to XP, but can do wonders for cash or rune supplies... gave up on boring Curses, and now use minds, airs and fire staff for training magic, working the Edgeville mind route after every increase in mind multiple (at 14, 28, 42) and the air route after every air increase (11, 22, 33, 44) - beyond those level, as needed. I don't "train RC", I make the runes I need.
  3. Just because it's a "library" it doesn't have to be public... most games, in particular, will have some form of "engine" that is at a higher level - it may be public, private, self written, bought in, individual or re-used. The days of having to write finely crafted assembler to fit things in 32k of RAM are long gone, just saying "hello world" today proabably takes 64k at least. To "do stuff" in Java, it may be worth looking into Sun's "Looking Glass 3D" - while it is more powerful in Linux (can host native applications in the LG3D environment), there is also a Windows version, though only with a limited sample application to run in it.
  4. You also get an Al-Kharid tune close to the fence in the Lumbridge cow pen. It seems the geometry of the music allocation is at a coarser level than the scenery elements.
  5. There is a level 12 Minotaur fence in the north room, close to where you start, but fewer Minotaurs there, so it can get very busy. Going for the accuracy amulet, means beginning the quest with Mizgog in the Wizards tower, then going for every Imp you see. They tend to scatter your arrows by running around a lot, and can also teleport away, though often not very far. A magic spell, either a wind strike, or preferably a curse if you can use them (almost any attack or curse class spell will do), can be used to "set" your target into postion against a safespot barrier, to avoid scattering arrows as they approach.
  6. To go back to Pizza for a moment... Anchovies are caught along with shrimp in a small net, once fishing level is 15 or better, at all locations where shrimp may be fished. Since the topping is added later, plain pizza made at lower levels may be kept and topped later. Meat topping is another option (at level 45), but results in 16 total as 2 bites of 8. Members can apply pineapple topping at level 65, for 22 total in 2 bites of 11.
  7. http://www.driverheaven.net - you may find their cleaner useful, as there could be problems from remnants of the previous driver, especiacially having switched camps from Nvidia to ATI (bad move, I'd say), though I switched machines and had my first ATI (and first machine for some time that was not a self-build). Next time, I'm back to Nvidia, not impressed by ATI, and quite likely back to self-build, though it means getting ripped like hell on software prices.
  8. Even those with software can have trouble giving a warning, especially if you save money by using rechargables in a mouse that is not rechargable itself. The fade characteristic of rechargable batteries is quite sudden, with the voltage dropping only when exhausted.
  9. The entry that is currently focused can be removed using the "Delete" key (the one in the six key group, Delete or DEL), works well if you just want to clean some unwanted entries from the list.
  10. A potential 10k per player from the stronghold as well, plus a number of quests that pay out.
  11. Anchovy Pizza IS the highest total in F2P, 18 healing when Swordfish are 14 and Lobster 12. It is equvalent to carrying twice the number of Salmon, at 9 per bite. Tedious to collect though, as it either means a risky trip to the bandit camp in multicombat wilderness (for Pizza base, cheese & tomato respawn, fishing spot for shrimp/anchovy), or camping the cheese & tomato in the Port sarim shop, or the free respawns in Aggie's, then making them. The Cooks guild has a small advantage, in that you can carry more grain, fewer pots, and recycle the pots. Making bases there, with a lot of grain and few containers for flour and water, then assembling pizza elsewere, may work better, such as assembling them while camping for cheese & tomato. Cooking at the lumbridge range may result in greater success. The other "bargain" in F2P cooking (at level 25) is stews, best if you reach 8 crafting & make a load of bowls. Around Draynor works well, as you can nmake a stew with chicken as well as meat. To the west, on the Port Sarim side, the chicken farm provides chickens to kill (a little combat in whatever style you choose) with bones to bury for prayer and feathers to collect for fly fishing, plus a water source to fill the bowls and a choice of trees (normal, oak, yew). To the east, is a potato field. The result for level 25 cooking, is an 11 healing stew, only 1 lower than lobster which is level 40 to fish and cook, while more healing than Tuna. In practice, levelling up on fishing & cooking is usually preferable, since it trains two closely related skills, but thes two items work well in F2P, the stew to get the most out of level 25 cooking, and the Anchovy Pizza for ultimate endurance when not getting hit too badly.
  12. One of the strongest "random legends" is that a full inventory gets you more mazes, mimes and other teleport-away randoms, since the MoM cannot give you a box if your inventory is full, so there is a strong suspicion that you get one of the other randoms instead.
  13. Moving fence side to fence side should increase the effect of the attractor - actually, it's natural to be switching fence sides when collecting arrows. Also, if you want your arrows in a neat pile, take some curse runes (if you have 19+ magic) and throw a curse first - even if it misses, it should have the Mino aggro'ed on you and standing fence side. You could use any spell, but curse is worth using for cheap magic XP, and the lowered defence if it hits. Wind strike would fo just as well for positioning, and the Lumbridge magic tutor will give you 30 minds & airs if you have none on you or banked.
  14. Blue = Teamcape, Green = Friendlist (if chat is open to you), so what do you get for a friend in a team cape? That's a little tip, actually, if you don't want to be tracked as a green dot, by someone marking you as "friend", the set private chat to "friends only", then you will only appear green to those you also have marked as friends.
  15. Not always... you can find macroers with the best tool for the job, a rune pickaxe for mining, or a rune axe for woodcutting. Default clothing is pretty suspicious though, as are alphabet soup names with numbers, often sequential!
  16. F2P has one stat drainer, the Zammy monks that guard the wine (or is it only when attempting to take the wine), can't remember if magic is drained though. Several other things can weaken.
  17. Cook-X nuked the trade in raw fish overnight, since a lot more fishers now cook all they catch. There does seem to be more trade in Lobbies than Swordies, despite the fact that swordfish are the absolute best single bite item (other than "great" kebabs, which are random) in F2P. If you can spare the eating time, the best total item in F2P is Anchovy Pizza: Lobster: 12 Swordfish: 14 Anchovy Pizza: 18 (two bites of 9)
  18. You also get no drops from cursing, but with good safespoting, you can take down almost anything with Fire strikes (or Earth strikes, if you don't like using 2 airs per shot - personally, I'd rather get the max from the long walk mind runes and use more airs). The strongest point against failed cursing, the sheer boredom of one-shot casting with no reward other than 29 xp for each throw, though it IS a strategy if you want a particular "accessory" level of magic and no extra hp.
  19. Outside the north gate of Faladaor - remember that trees, evergreen trees & dead trees all give normal logs, and if tour woodcutting level is high enough, having a large group of suitable trees is more important than being close to a bank, as is having a rune axe, generally cuts each tree in one and a half swings. If you run out of normal trees and there is an oak, then carry a tinderbox - slash & burn the oak while waiting for the respawns.
  20. Always begin by collecting all coffins (and use the mausoleum to bank - one way deposit only! - any items you would like to send back). Each headstone has one item representing a skill (if it flat-spins on edge, then close and try again), while each coffin has 3 items, plus bones & skull. Pickaxe - Miner, coffin has Pickaxe & ore Axe - Woodcutter, coffin = axe & logs Chef's hat - Cook, coffin = hat?, kebab & cake Watering Can - Farming, Coffin = can & secateurs Flowerpot - Crafting, coffin = apron, pot Finally, if you find one particularly hard to spot, delay it - if the other 4 are resolved, then the last one has no other options.
  21. Some other abilities: From a the video of a J-Mod stat switching, and getting monster attacked and exterminated while at level 1 - they can attack / be attacked by NPCs From the "meeting", it appears that J-Mods can summon randoms at will. Anyway, "Account sharing", is two people on one account, not two accounts for one person, however, is one account was banned (depending on what it was banned for), it may be unwise to draw attention to it as it may reflect badly on the player, in connection with any other accounts.
  22. Each spot twice, I believe, with 1, maybe 2 spots in each mining area, and about 4 in the middle bit
  23. Minor bug - they forgot to mark "polish buttons" as members only in crafting, though it matters little as presumably F2P cannot get any buttons to polish.
  24. The reverse, I thought... Durial perm-banned for bug abuse, Cursed temp banned for ??? The story then goes that Cursed You got keylogged, hacked or something, and was banned for multiple carried out while (allegedly) stolen - if that is the truth, you have to wonder why it was not resolved (they would know if it was an unusual IP), unless Jagex found a convenient way to resolve a grudge.
  25. Hadn't spotted the 3 outside Varrock (eg. towards the earth altar), was thinking of the palace grounds. Those 3 are absent from some maps, including the current tip.it map. The Lumby to Draynor ones, do tend to be a little clearer, though a few autos are probably making use of the route of 4. There is anorther "map weak" one south of Melzar's Maze. Also it stands to reason that any world you have to queue to get into, will probably be light on autoers., and even any world that is busier than the "automatic select" balance due to player choice, will be light on autoers if they are normally connecting to the default.
