  1. Nobody gonna do a dungeon?
  2. The skill was made to allow those that wanted to to advance insanely fast. All you need is 220k oak logs (which will be easy to get next month after the craze dies down). That and 60 million and a demon servant will advance you in no time. Just stay in build mode and create oak lardersw having the demon unnote your logs then plank them. I think you'll get 4200 xp a minute doing this. 240k an hour so 55 hours to get 99 level. It's not meant to be difficult to raise, just expensive as hell.
  3. Interesting layouts. I need to look into the poratl and chapel layout.
  4. Not a problem. Guess it labels ok. Granted, when you rotate the room, the name rotates with it.
  5. If you did the Ogre portion of RFD, and you've got a number of Chompies, you can use the orge sons to transport you near the TBC to chop more wood. So chop mahogany, glory to al kharid (bank logs, get two chompies), bank, run to glider, glider to Feldip hill, run east to Ogre boat, then head straight east to TBC tree farm. Not sure if it's actually faster though. Granted, you could just move your house to brimhaven. Not a far run from there.
  6. I didn't see this thread. Oh well, mods can delete mine if they'd like.
  7. Here's a VERY crude .png of the floor layout for constructions. It's based off the Hotspots from Jagex's Knowledge base. Just use this to copy, paste, and rotate rooms to recreate the floor plans of your house. I'll post a copy of my layout in a bit. Sorry I didn't label the rooms, but they're farely easy to guess. It's in order top to bottom, then left to right. I did not include the straight away for the dungeon, or the room below the trapdoor.
  8. If you accidently buy them, just try to sell them to high level players. Since the price does not change, marble will be 325k no matter if you buy from store or another player. So they'll buy from you for maybe a little less, but close to what you paid for. Just be patient.
  9. Crystal Bow is the best for dragons. You can kill 60 greens an hour fairly easy (and bank the bones and hides). Just use the decay technique on the bow and you'll be hitting strong all the time. I'm averaging at 85 range about 250 green dragons per 10 charges. Yes, I'm killing each in about 10 shots. Reason why C. Bow is better than knives? Max damage. At 85, I'm maxing at 19 damage. To get the same average damage, I need knives to hit 9 max (which means Mith knives on up). In addition, I have to pick up the knives. Knives give you about 5 shots on average due to breakage. So, I'm using 20 shots per Green dragon, costing me 50 gp a shot? Nope, crystal is much cheaper. I like the C. Bow as I can get 2500 ammo at a purchase. No haggling with sellers or making my own.
  10. It's a way to spend money that you can have a bit of control over. You use one method to advance (oak log planks are the way to go) Then, the fun part. At your level (I'm gonna goto 70, with 2.5 million for planking), build the house you want. Jagex does not care if you buy your way to level 99, you're SUPPOSED to buy your way to level 99. Either that, or wallow away at 8k xp an hour making decorative rocks. I will put the nicest things in my house, which itself will be 3 seperate complexes (Main House, Study/Portal, Construction).
  11. Not a very good technique. You're better off just keeping a glory in the bank, and using a duel ring to get to castle war bank. Faster and cheaper than your method.
  12. You have to wonder why a Cosmic Crafting company hasn't started up though. You can get double cosmics early on. They sell for 200 each. The quest is fairly simple (lost city). Cosmics are great training at the MTA, with bonus runes to boot when training. You could trade 26 ess, 40 cosmics per trade (8k a trade) and keep 12 cosmics for yourself to pay for the pure ess you're using. Why hasn't such a thing taken off?
  13. With full investment of 750k+ gp, you'll have a daily pay of 75k gp. With 100% on one resource (full bar) you end up giving 50k to that resource, leaving 25k to some others (spent even if on idle). With 50k gp and 100% approval, your items and bonuses are: Coal: 546 coal and 3 gems Fish: 440 Tuna, 132 Swords, 6 gems and 1 casket Trees: 892 Maples and 8 nests Rares: 301 Teak, or 223 Mohagany or 181/181 Teak and Mohagany, maybe 1 nest Flax: 1250 flax, 2 herb seeds. Herbs: 61 unid herbs Tarro and above, no bonuses Farming: NO CLUE, way too much bank space required. If you put less money, expect proportionally less rewards.
  14. It's not a bug as I reported it to Jagex last year when I discovered it. Once they said it was legitimate to use this technique, I posted a guide on how to do it on the Official Forums and a graphic guide on RuneHQ. Reason why it's allowed is to fix the "bug" Jagex will have to assign ten decay counters to your character instead of the 1 you currently have. When your decay counter hits 0, it resets to 250 and decays whatever bow you're currently wielding. Three ways to track your decay: 1. Count the shots - BORING, but precise 2. Track average number of kills per decay state - fairly accurate, sometimes you miscount. For myself it's 13 blue dragons, 22 green dragons before I switch to my decay bow. 3. Track your time - after about 10 minutes of full use, your bow decays. So use a stop watch. I do this at the wallasaki's and dagganoths as they're always attacking so I'm always using my bow. I switch a 10 minute mark and the bow soon decays. Reset stopwatch. Tomisme reminded me of this method (he loves the Crystal Bow after I showed him the exploit, I think he has 20 of them right now). Benefits of this is having a Crystal Bow with +100 range bonus a majority of your 2500 shots. As you're still decaying a bow to a seed (your decay bow) you're still paying 72gp every shot. It's that every shot now hits it's max potential. Hence, an exploit but not a bad bug. Any other questions?
  15. ALL MINERS CAN GET THE GEMS FROM THE SAME GEM ROCK!!!! You both were getting gems, not just you. I found this out when Village Clean-up started and many wanted gems to trade for sticks. Eight guys were all going to the same rocks. Most were getting the gems. So, at the gems, it's best if you ALL goto the same rocks in the same order. No need to split the rocks. How to make sure: Ask those around you to type "1" when they get a gem from a rock that has multiple people on it. If you see 2 or more "1"'s then you know that multiple can mine the same rock successfully. Why? I may be lying, so proving it yourself is the best confidence builder. NOTE: Does not work on regular mining rocks, just the gem rocks. Regular mining rocks you have to fight over.
  16. Here's your cost you'll pay per item IF you have 100% approval: Coal - 91.6 each Flax - 40 each Tuna/Swords - 56.8, 189.4 each (10 tunas to 3 swords) Maple - 56.1 each Teak - 166.1 each Mohagany - 224.6 each Teak/Mohagany combo - 191.3 each Unid Herbs - 826.4 each So, if you put 750k+ gp in your coffers, you'll pay 75k a day. Max you'll pay to a resource is 50k of that 75k, the other 25k will have to put to another resource. Max Payment Results: Coal - 546 Coal, 3 gems Flax - 1250 Flax, 2 herb seeds Tuna/Swords - 440 Tuna/132 Swords, 2 caskets, 4 gems Maple - 892 Maple logs, 8 nests Teak - 301 Teak logs, 1 nest maybe Mohagany - 223 Moh logs, 1 nest maybe Teak/Mohagany combo - 131/131, 1 nest maybe. Unid Herbs - 61 Unid herbs Tarro and above. On coal, maples and flax I and others noticed consistent nest, gems and seed results. We DID NOT try to figure farm seeds results. Far too chaotic to get a good reading early on. On herbs, expect this ratio after time: 3 Tarro, 3 Harra, 1 Ranarr, 2 Avant, 2 Irits, 1 Dwarf, 1 Lant, 1 Cada, 1 Kwuarm. Ex: I put 75k, with 100% on coal and 50% on flax (50k and 25k) I'll get 546 coal, 625 flax
  17. Since I can net 30 to 50 every hour (thank you world 78), I'll be spending them every 200 points. I doubt the armor will be worth it. Seriously, how many of you are impressed with the CW Armor? Ohhh, 8 months of effort for addy armor, aren't you special.
  18. When it comes to abbys, gems and nothings are not rare drops at all. You misunderstand the term. There's rare in the real sense, such as a very infrequent drop. Then there's rare in the Jagex sense, meaning the item is tagged as "rare" for drop purposes and will be affected via the Ring of Wealth.
  19. Just noticed Zezima talked how person posts sales or purchases desired on the forums for him. Granted, this is now "technically" a violation of the official forums. Apparently you can't post on behalf of another player (goes under the rule about discussing other players). One, I disagree with that rule (I sometimes enjoy playing the middleman). Two, exceptions should be made to a point. I remember one thread getting 200 posts merely because Zezima "bumped" it once. That's gotta have a big impact on a game where rapid advancement depends greatly on trading items (unless you're gonna mine 200k coal). The biggest point he made is not wasting time in the bank. I've just got done finally selling 14 sets of full skeletal and regret every minute (though it had to be done). Such a great point: Don't waste time. Imagine beggers actually going to world 16 and running ess for a little bit? Picking flax near seers? *Gasp* mining iron and cutting willows? That point about not wasting time should be framed as a signature for all would be beggers. DO NOT pay real cash to role play as a begger in a fantasy game. Enjoy your five dollars to its maximum.
  20. It's easy to track of a Ring of Wealth works or not. Track rare drops. No, not the 1 in 400 rares like abyssal whips, but all of the rare drops. Gems (saphires, emerald, ruby, diamond), Half Keys, Dragon Mediums and NOTHING. Remember, NOTHING is a rare drop. Now, team up with 5 to 10 other guys. Have all of them track their drops (very easy if you use the forums). When you build up a 20k drop database, switch to the ROW for another 20k drop database. Look at the Drop Rates, has the NOTHING drop rate decreased 20%? If so, then you proved right there the Ring of Wealth works in accordance to that 3 year old Letter from the Gods post by Guthix.
  21. The bank chest is still by the sink. You get bulk buckets, milk, pie tins, cake tins, chocolate and other items right by the bank, including the all powerful pat of butter. Never understood the purpose of the grapes being made in bulk. It immediately screamed EASY XP. As for the other Nerfs: Pest Control : half xp reward Castlewars : armor value nerfed Charge Spell : Limited to once a minute Crumble undead : Made into a battle spell I'll argue all of these are reasonable nerfs. It was easy to get the 25 tickets to get full castlewar armor. Granted, they should have adjusted ticket values to make it ticket cost equivalent to gp cost (75 tickets for silver/mith, 150 tickets for gold/addy). The charge spell gave best xp per blood rune. It was fast. Crumble Undead is a battle spell. Once it became an autocast spell via the slayer staff, it was reasonable to make it inline with other combat spells. Pest Control, even nerfed, still offers very fast training if you're on a good world. So yes, reducing the items in the chest is reasonable. Even if they dropped most items to 20 and critical items to 10 in stock (like butter and grapes), you'll still have a darn good chest with a convenient location for food items.
  22. You're in your fourth year of college (I'm pressuming) and you're still typing like that? I know, I doubt you turn in any papers that resemble how you communicate on the web. Granted, the above resembles Shakespeare compared to many of the posts one sees on these forums. PS: Can you all stop it with the stupid rumors? First, never should a person be obligated to answer falsehoods against his person. Not doing so is not an admission of guilt. Common sense tells you that if a person cheats, they can equally lie by denying it. Likewise, answering a false charge still has those claiming you lie when you deny the charge. Jagex has no qualms banning players that cheat. Looking at all the "I've been banned unfairly" posts here and in the official forums should tell you that. As for the interview, it revealed on good thing: Runescape has gotten easier to train skills. Granted you have slow skills such as farming at 20k xp an hour (unless you buy tree seeds), kinda slow like agility (40k an hour), insanely fast skills like cooking (200k an hour) and the utterly insanely fast skills like fletching (rune arrows, haven't timed it). Over time, Jagex is making these skills easier and more approachable to everyone. As more get higher levels, Jagex is compensating for that growth. Zezima, like many "old school" RS players, did it the hard. Hopefully, Zezima doesn't complain (didn't sound like it in the interview) that Runescape grows and changes for the better. I know if not for cook-x, my cooking would still be at around 80. So respect for doing it when it was hard (though you had no choice), but I still have no qualms doing it the easy way. Now if only I can convince my wife she shouldn't mine all the essence she crafts. How in the world do you get 66 Runecrafting off all the essence you mine yourself? Insanity, I tell you, insanity.
  23. Now that you mentioned it, could you post a small video of what happens when: 1. You turn your chat to public. 2. You walk around Falador World 2 (or where ever). How I found out about Zezima: True story, early in my RS gaming (Nov. 2004) Nfcsousa showed me how to safely trade unid herbs as known herbs. I used that idea to help merchant herbs even with a low herblore level. I got high amounts of the high level herbs and began selling on forums after that (at the time, you could double your investment on unids). So I ask sousa if he knew anyone that'll buy from me. He mentions he sells to a Zezima and Lilliuffie (I think) along with a couple others. So I add the names and they're never on. So about a week later I ask him how come they're never on? Sousa asked if I even knew who Zezima or the others were. I said no, why? He told me to check the high scores list. OOOOOHHHHHH!!! That made sense then. It didn't dawn on me completely then how much of a fan club had been built up around these guys. No wonder their chat was always off. Still, ended up making nice cash with herblore to help me train other skills. Plus, it helped me find out how much I hate merchanting. BORING. Sorry I never got in touch with you Zezima, had a ton of herbs during that time.
  24. After four years or so, you'd think he'd have some positive and negative comments about the game. One of those: So, what were some of the positive changes made in the game? What do you see were some negative changes made to the game? What have been some of you more positive experiences in Runescape? Care to relay some negative experiences you suffered during your time on RS? What are some mistakes (in your opinion) you see being made by the serious players in Runescape? Anything you see being done by players you just "don't get"? Ex: Skilling, Merchanting, Clans, PK'ing, Mini-games, collections, Role-Playing, etc.? I disagree with his statement about sticking to one skill. Fast skills like cooking can be considered ok, but imagine spending the 200 hours it takes to make 99 in the not so easy skills like agility? Should have asked how he advanced some more of his skills. The bit about ranging 45k blue dragons was very informative. It helped Range, Prayer, Hitpoints and Crafting. Other than that, nice to see a kid 10 years younger than me having fun in a game. Sure, there are things in college you can be doing aside from that, but in reality most just waste their time partying which accomplishes nothing in retrospect. Hell, many of my co-workers waste HOURS on Battlefield 2. Who am I to judge? Our trips to the Zona Norte in Tiajuana don't accomplish anything either. Moral: Range lotsa blue dragons.
  25. Remember these numbers 3000 - Whip, Dagger (25 spm) 2400 - Sword, Spear, Mace (20 spm) 1800 - Halberd, Great Axe, 2h Swords (15 spm) Find the number by your weapon of choice, multiply by your max damage with that weapon (using all your bonuses, potions and prayers you NORMALLY train with). That will be you PEAK AVERAGE Experience gain per hour. Do not expect to get higher. What lowers your average is non-attack times (eating, respawns, bank runs, prayer recharge, etc.) and low attack chances (a level 100 is almost 100% against experiments, but 60% against Green Dragons).
