  1. I think I remember someone talking about stepping away before and I might do a round up to the 360s or something to try it out. Might check a yt vid on meleeing jad to. Could I out hit the healers if I was meleeing with overloads? You'd have an okay chance, I managed it with a rapier, 96 att/str, extremes and turmoil. Here's a vid by smellysocks, showing both a 360 and jad: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zR-nxPSLqcY
  2. Overpowered you say? Capped at 30k xp/day it isn't really that much... Edit: misunderstood (and I agree :s)
  3. I somewhat knew that, but I wasn't completely sure. So I guess I should be using my Archer's Ring over the RoW for Ranging Blue Dragons. Although, I do however recall it working well for getting shell drops from tortoises. Can someone confirm this? As far as I know, the rare drop table does not contain any sort of unique drop.
  4. You can attack the 360's at the right moment during their mage attack, then instantly step away, forcing them into another mage attack. You just repeat that until they're dead. As for meleeing jad (without a halberd), it's not really that difficult. You simply keep melee pray on until he does one of his attack animations, switch to range/mage pray, then switch back to melee as soon as the attack hits you. Although ranging is a fine alternative. I would recommend at least trying to melee the 360's though, as it makes fcaves a whole lot faster.
  5. I like effigies, found 14~ this week slaying, 17 sitting in my bank atm. Once I have enough for 99 prayer (85-95 effigies), I'll turn them into lamps. Everything on kuradel's list (besides smages I think) has a nice chance of dropping them. Earlier today I had 2 effigies drop from spectres within 5 seconds of each other. Edit:
  6. It's slightly useful when you can't afford a stat boosting ring. That's about all I can think of.
  7. Ivy, or drop-cutting teaks with an adze.
  8. 99 is not required for turmoil, and is a little over 4m more exp, which takes a pretty large chunk of cash for 4 levels and a pretty cape. I'd say go for 95, turmoil is absolutely amazing.
  9. If you want to mage them, go for it. However if you're just attempting to do the task in a timely manner, consider canceling it. Spiritual warriors are not amazing exp, have no noteworthy loot, and drop absolutely no charms. They're possibly one of the worst tasks on kuradel's list for all-around slaying.
  10. Alching is pretty terrible exp these days. Plank make offers fast exp, and is usually around 3gp/xp which would come to around 20m. String jewelery is another option, and requires much less concentration than plank make. If you're dealing with a normal spellbook, consider superheating. It provides supplementary smithing exp (though I suppose you wouldn't care about that), but more importantly it can be very cheap, and still retain a decent exp rate.
  11. Suomi has been discussed pretty avidly, he plays crazy hours, only (possibly) second to drumgun in consistency. I think discussion about him stopped mainly because there's nothing truly new from him, besides temporarily dunging for 90, he's been superheating in LRC for months. The only people I've seen dismiss him bring up his cash problems, most still view him as a serious contender regardless (he's the only person discussed in this topic who has actually said it's his goal to max everything out IIRC).
  12. That would be a little under 32k dragon bones at a gilded altar, with both burners up.
  13. Fly fish to 70, then do heavy rod fishing to 99. Drop the fish in between casts (reasonably anywhere from 1-4 per cast).
  14. You can build a gilded altar in your house at 75 con.
  15. It could be 16 bits (65k something unsigned). I heard someone say it was 'around 64k', so I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case. Edit: apparently java doesn't support unsigned shorts anything? Nevermind I guess...
  16. I block terror dogs, kalphites, steel and black drags and, wyverns. I cancel jungle strykes, tzhaar, and tortoises. I'll more infrequently cancel lrc creatures, black demons, and spiritual mages, tasks I sometimes just don't feel up to.
  17. Mousekeys allow you to manipulate your cursor with the numpad. They wouldn't be that useful if it weren't for the jump command, holding down ctrl and hitting any of the numpad directional keys will make your cursor jump a specified distance, and it's extremely useful for speeding up menu navigation, emptying a pouch for example, or withdrawing ess from your bank. There are plenty of guides on setting up/using them, on the RSOF, youtube, or perhaps here on tip.it (maybe check the archive of wisdom).
  18. Only thing I've really heard people talking about is afk ranging at skeletal horde, and even that is probably subpar exp.
  19. One of the big factors for certain items was bonus exp weekend rumors, a lot of items were rising because morons were scrambling to hoard them coinciding with stuff like 'my cousins best friend works for jagex and the exp weekend is this month!11!!1!'. Now a fair amount of them are panic selling.

    So are highscores :<
  21. At 99, deaths are easily over 1m/hour with decent abyss runs. At 83 astrals are much better, though. Are you 99 rc? I am, and I cant get 1m an hour with deaths. Yes, I am. I frequently get over 1.2m with deaths, depending on market prices.
  22. At 99, deaths are easily over 1m/hour with decent abyss runs. At 83 astrals are much better, though.
  23. I don't believe people call it a noob cape just because of the price, It's certainly also about the xp rate. Burning maples you can average 180k/hour. Even without backlighting and much concentration you'd be hard-pressed to fall below 120k/hour. Thus it gets lumped together with cooking/fletching/thieving as a relatively fast and cheap cape to acquire, although considering the average methods people use to train all four, FM probably requires the most concentration.
  24. Because it is faster. Not by that much though, at 94 fishing I usually get around 65k/hour with a granite lob, I've heard 70k+ is possible. Trout and salmon give 50/70 exp each, while leaping trout/salmon/sturgeon give 50/70/80 respectively. There's probably no real reason to do heavy rod fishing until you can catch sturgeon.
