^ I absolutely agree. The price guide IS responsible for a large part of the drop in rares, whether zybez intended it to be or not - many people literally follow the guide down to the last coin instead of looking at the buying/selling prices in the market.

The thing that scares me is that what you've shown actually makes sense. This and last month Jagex has been slowly providing alternatives to direct trade. However, I can't believe that they would remove it - who wants to go to wherever the grand exchange is and possibly pay a fee every time you need to sell something? There is just no feasible alternative for direct trading.

Those were unnecessary. :roll: Edit - V so was that Jagex says they read all appeals they get, and simply use generic answers to save time, but given the number of ridiculous situations I've seen with evolve out of customer support disputes I think that's a half truth at best.

Although the staking update was the cause of all the price dropping fury, the fact that staking is now dead is almost unresponsible for this. The reason everything has dropped is that people have said "OMG ECONOMY IS TEH CRASH MUST SELL STOOF@@@@@" and in doing spread panic so that everyone is selling everything they have of value. A sudden surplus of supply on the market is responsible for the crash in prices of many items (something similar happened on Black Tuesday and caused the Great Depression). Eventually all of the chicken littles will run out of stuff to sell, and prices will stabilize. However, they may or may not be much lower than they originally were.

I don't feel that this topic deserved to be closed, even temporarily, as no names were named. A person that many people on tipit have a low opinion of posted on my blog boasting about having broken rules, and he received a negative response from many of my friends. The only person who named him was himself. Further to that, whether the replies he received could be considered to be in violation of a rule or not, I don't think I should be held responsible for things that people posted on my blog while I was at school. :P The only post I made was "(phail)", and if that's punishable :-# Anyways I know a mod won't ever read this so luckily I came up with a more valid reason to bump my blog :lol:

A valid point... I think this is more of a suggestion though. It's not that bad, just right click and talk... it's highly unlikely you'll die in the time required :P
