I haven't tossed aside my beliefs at all, neither has she. The point is, and I've mentioned this in another post, she's 'the right kind of religious'. Where if she hadn't told you you wouldn't have known. The kind where it doesn't affect you at all. What's more I don't go bothering religious people in real life, only here on a forum because this is exactly that - a forum; a place for discussion of such things. I suppose it does involve a bit of acceptance though.

I'm getting married in a couple of years. As you probably know I got engaged just over a month ago and we're not going to get married until we're 'established'; when I've finished my MSc and we're both working. It seems one of our problems (deciding whether to have a church wedding - she's catholic & I'm a big atheist) was resolved when we found out that the church won't marry us as I'm not baptised. As for kids, 1 boy and 1 girl - I'd probably prefer the girl first. Her name will be Zoe, middle name Elizabeth. His name will be Jay, middle name undecided.

Die quickly at the hands of a farmer (you don't think they skin them alive, do you?), who then gets paid for his effort & can feed his family or die slowly, out in the cold because they don't have the skills to survive in the wild, at the same time depriving a hard working man of what he needs to survive. People come above animals. You might say that he should have had a different job but that is entirely irrelevant - that IS his job and that doesn't mean he deserves to be deprived of what he needs to survive.

So instead they get freed, depriving the farm owner of his dues, they starve to death within a short while and you don't even get a nice coat out of it. There are millions of cows being kept the world over for nothing more than "tasty" food. They are next on the agenda. FIGHT THE POWAH! It's in a different language so any translation to English is an approximation. That means that as far as I know there isn't a 'right' way to spell it. Take for example the chinese rice gruel, some spell it chook, some spell it jook, some spell it juk and so on - they sound the same. As far as I know.

It doesn't mean the discovery would be denied... It would just mean that you can't call the other thing a universe... :roll: Substitute universe for its literal meaning: "This is everything existence. Oh, and this new thing we discovered, that is a separate everything in existence".

The thing is that that bigot was asserting that homosexuality, whether a decision or not, does harm others.

That isn't a universe then... "Universe" itself literally means "all turned into one" - notice the "uni" part. By definition there can only be one universe. That isn't to say that parallels wouldn't be possible, as that's the same universe.

I was actually just taking a pop at the people who moan on about what is and isn't punk. The same people who think that they are more hardcore than person X because they listen to so many bands that no one has ever heard of. The same peopl who think that what they listen to is the only 'real' punk music and that everyone else just likes poser music. The kind of attitudes that come forth on every thread about punk music.

I also wouldn't buy a machine that had 2x 7600GS cards. I'd wait a month until the next generation cards are out.
