Have you ever thought about what would be the new classics or reference of today's time in the future? Like we all know of Elvis Presley; he was a classic of the 50s and 60s that is still very known today. What I'm asking is, what current things would still hold to be highly known in the future? Or just some-what known. (TV shows, games, gadgets, etc.) What I think? I think Super Mash Brothers is going to be remembered a bit in the future. Such a simple game in a complex time... Also due to Halo's overreacting fanboys and publisity, our grandchildren will recongize Master Chief from being from some game. And I don't know why but I got a pit feeling that SpongeBob is going to be remembered for a long time. #-o

Now I don't actually know you Rob, but seriously, if you would rather play a game or watch TV on your own instead of what you put in inverted commas: "hanging out with friends," then really someone needs to blast your house with an EMP*! I mean, do you just not invite people to do anything, or do you actually turn down invitations because you'd rather watch TV and play games, saying that either way nothing "gets done." If you're going to take the effeciency attitude where you think that it's better to stay at home acheiving nothing than going out with your friends and acheiving nothing then I'm seriously worried, you should probably go and see a councilor or something. Well he does indeed have a point. By going out with friends he only gains abosolutly nothing. What makes 'socializing' such an important factor I never understood. It is fun and entertaining for me and many others, but if some don't see it like that, then leave them be. Obviously you wouldn't go out with people you don't get along with, but I find it difficult to understand how you can have any friends in real life, and then prefer being on a game than with them. Of course you don't have to spend all your time with them, but I really don't get how you can make any good friends irl and still prefer watching TV than hanging out with them. And, call me ignorant if you like, I don't understand how you can talk about being with friends in terms of gaining anything. You could say, games are fun, friends are fun, but with games I don't have to spend time going out. But don't you get a feeling better than fun while with your friends...? I know when I'm with my friends I feel like I belong somewhere, and I know I'll have people there to help and support me if I ever run into any problems. If you consistantly choose TV or video games over real life friends then one day you might find yourself in a hole and your "e-friends" won't be there to help you. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with making friends on the internet, but if you don't have friends in real life too then something's really wrong. If you do have friends, you have to keep them, and you won't do that by playing on video games and watching TV. Again, their choice not yours. If they feel like playing PC is funner than "life", then they can do that for all we should care. Think of it this way: with less guys out on the mall, less compeition with the girls. ;)

It's a health hazard though. People have died from exhaustion by "no-lifing" before. I see nothing wrong with pointing out the dangers of it to your fellow man. Moderately "no-lifing" is fine unless until it gets out of control - then you can harm yourself, and doing that over a video game is not fine. Now, making fun of someone for "no-lifing" is a different story, but I think it's absolutely fine to tell someone when you think they had more than they can handle. We're basically on the same boat. I find it perfectly alright to warn someone about the dangers, but if the guy knows the conquences and keeps doing it, its his problem. At this point people make 'fun of' no-lifing.

Definately to type faster and more accurate...also taught me a lot about basic economics.

What is our position to give someone proiorities? For all I care, someone can do whatever they please as long as it doesn't interrupt others. It is in no one's rights to tell someone they should do something otherwise. If I want to drink beer all day then by god's right let me! But, until the moment I drive a vehicle and hit someone and distrub their life, no one should do anything to me.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Parody genre (escpially Mel Brook's work) . But these "____ Movie"s of 'stupid random comedy' are giving the spoofs a horrible, horrible name. Its not even that...its that so many are being made in such a short period of time. We had Epic Movie, Meet the Spartans, and now this Disaster Movie in what? 2-3 years time? Plus all the other "_____ Movie"s I didn't even mention. Spoofs are great, if done well. Not making Paris Hilton fall off a plane it's critial joke.

Well concidering I live in the Los Angeles Metropolitarian Area, I'm fairly close to some of the Hollywood celeberties than most.

The end pieces? They're the best! :D My family doesn't eat them though, I don't know why...but who cares? More for me. :mrgreen:

Today nothing, but yesturday I've spent all day recoverying my computer three times... In the end I just did a Destructive Recovery, aka Nuke the harddrive. \ Some copypasta later my computers running like new. :D

Meh, it was happening during 2007...I played less and less and the Dec 10 updates didn't help much. I recently got members for a month but that still didn't made me get into the game again. I still log on from time to time and I probably won't ever log back on if TIF ceased to exist. Without Tip.It I wouldn't of liked this game so much, the folks here are wonderful. :mrgreen:

And of the executioner? He too has taken a human life; and whatever way you look at it, there is an alternative to the death penalty. Should the executioner also have his human rights removed by your logic? You've punished a murderer... by murdering him. I'm not quite sure that sets a better example. The executioner isn't killing an innocent person, where as the murderer did. Innocent person = has rights. Kill an innocent person = you have no rights. Killing a gulity person =/= you have no rights. Simplest I can put it. As for me, I have two ways: Strip the guy naked and put him in a 3x3 cell of stone. Give him minmum food and water. If thats too inhumane, kill the bastard via hanging.

I remember when we had topics like 'If you had to live with 5 Tipiters on an island, Who in OT would you sleep with, Who is going to be the most successful etc'. I quite liked those topics, in a way it brought the community together and it was a break from all the political, religious and help threads that OT normally had. It's good to have a break from these things with a positive topic. Well yeah but after a while it got into some people's egos. "I am TIF's best, listen to me!" If this type of topic stays in one thread, then I don't have a problem with it. But that's how it started before. One thread spawned others only for ego-boosts and popularity contests.

I don't know about you guys but I am sick and tired of these [developmentally delayed]ed not-funny parodies. First it was Epic Movie...it was a bit good, funny at parts because I didn't know what was about to come. Then came Meet the Spartans and I watched it thinking it was going to be funnier than Epic. EEEH Wrong! The same stupid crap as in Epic Movie. There was almost no difference: a stupid [bleep] semi-stripping in the beginning, rap/dance battles instead of actual fighting... Horrible crap. Then came Superhero Movie I think, with Drake Bell. I didn't see this one nor heard anything about it so I hope it wasn't the same as Epic. And NOW we have this Disaster Movie... watched the trailer in the YouTube front page and wow...what a waste of filming. Their comedy is people randomly getting injured out of nowhere and maybe some stupid puns. Why do they continue to make these stupid things so often? Why do people even like them? The bloody title could use some major help too... Movie? What the hell? Why not call the Dark Knight the "Batman Movie" or Star Wars as "The Space Movie"? Negative originality points. :wall: I love parodies when they're well done, like SpaceBalls. But these "get-hurt out of nowhere and laugh" films...? Gimme a break. -.- /rant
