If you can't do tormented demons and frost dragons you are likely better off doing slayer for them. However, there is a huge dropoff in the drorates after those two monsters so the best campable monsters would be black demons, abyssal demons, dark beasts and iron/steel dragons.
  2. To be honest, i don't know the exact rate of using a war tortoise so i can't exactly speculate on if it's possible or not, and also if you are going to use tortoise you'd be well served to watch(yes, that's right) some other frost dragon guides on how to do it efficiently, but as far as i'm concerned, it's out of the jurisdiction of this guide, because efficient killing means 85+herb/yak/cannon.
  3. Once I get a bit more data I will post it and show you that you are wrong :P 10% is close and works fine for estimation, but it's not the true proportion. It's quite irrelevant to what conclusion you will come to as if you farm every 75-90 minutes(every time your bound patch is ready) you will be able to save some of the diseased, and all that really matters is how many herbs you get per seed or patch.
  4. Out of curiosity, why 97? no particular reason, but lower than 97 would be a waste of money being maxed melee as melee is already 5-15% better to begin with.
  5. 10% death rate is widely considered the true deathrate of all plants in the game(apart from ivy).
  6. Penguin, we can all see the point you are making, but you are being way too stubborn about it and putting forth terrible examples. But the part i don't understand is this: why can't the task be to finish fight caves AND kill an ice strykewrym? For karamja elite you are likely to have to kill jad anyway, and just like you with slayer points, everyone who already owns a fire cape also gets shafted(as they have to do it again). If you can't defeat jad or get 2k slayer points, you really don't deserve to complete the diary.
  7. The problem with that choice is that it assumes that you stay at those stats. If you were to want to train your stats, you'd be limited to a whip, and once you are there, you'd want to own a rapier anyway. As a general plan it'd be smarter to get the rapier, max out, and have no reason at all to get longsword.
  8. Actually, it's more like 1/10000. Even 3/4 being dead is around 1/280 chance(happent to be twice). And the answer the question, torstol is by far the best with scroll of life. It's also by far the best xp.
  9. People would just FFA it for the reward Also am I blind because I don't see anything about a 95 prayer requirement Oh, because it's impossible for jagex to detect who is doing the damage.... Solo corp is a great idea. The 95 pray, 93 slayer(is it really impossible to get a task with boosted stats?) and 96(91) fishing reqs are mentioned on the BTS september post.
  10. If slayer/training(frosts) are in the mix, rapier is the only option. For everything else the difference between the weapons is slight at best, but for training, rapier is much, much better. For frost dragons you'd likely be better off ranging as you don't have ss/turm/ovl, assuming you are 97+ range ofcource and plan on using yak.
  11. Has the event been balanced any time in the last 2-3 years? I still have 9 boots, 4 legs and 4 hats, no tops... But as far as i've heard, you can't get the pieces anymore after you have a set.
  12. The picture-art of the diary rewards being worn looks really good, but the ingame picture looks louzy and way too robotic...lets hope for the best.
  13. she gives better tasks and more of the monsters, also more slayer points(18 per normal task, 28,8 points average), definitely the best slayer master by far.
  14. I personally think blocking what you don't enjoy doing makes the most sense as slayer is bound to get monotonous in a while. If you get to kurdal you get almost enough points(28 per task on average) to cancel as many tasks as you do, so blocking the most frequent+ annoying tasks will make sense(for best xp+drops, but some people have other strategy's).
  15. Learn to not completely rely on your teammates? for example....KEY. Yes, the most significant factor to a successful fast dungeon is to be a great key runner- that way you will never have to consider the team when considering your hourly xp. The best dungeoneers are also great key runners.
  16. Because of the price is tons higher than it was at the time of the announcement? Yous statement really makes no sense, as the only advantage you would have now is that you can buy SOME herbs all at once, but as a disadvantage, you still can't buy some of the ingredients(like for example, torstol) and have to pay a much higher price. As for the topic, it's almost as ridiculous. Did you think everyone will pay anything to get more and more ingredients for the weekend? It's only 10 hours of good extra xp, so the maximum number of herbs you'd need is around 18k, and not everyone plans to do so much herblore. Higher prices = lower demand.
  17. Depends on what you are looking for in slayer, if it's fastest xp with cannon etc, it's likely sumona/chaeldar, if you want longer tasks and higher level/better drop monsters, it's duradel/lapalok. Theres really no ''one size fits all'' until kurdal.

Judging by the fact that jagex have been making this game easier for the last 7 years, you are wrong. Some things are supposed to be exclusive/rare. And truly, you are making the game harder for you than it is supposed to be by setting all ravens as your goal, just as some people choose to max out level 3 skillers.
  19. The only important thing i read from that is...is it possible to fish sharks barehanded with stat boost(admiral pie) etc? edit: yeah, it's possible, so 91 firshing would do for the elite. Looks like i'm all set

no. Apart from having a ridiculous amount of eggs, obviously.
  21. It didn't last time and it was clearly mentioned it won't work this time...so yeah... I'm seriously beginning to worry about the mental health of most scapers- no matter how much information jagex gives us, people will still say that they will be doing prayer, summoning or superheating gold...I mean, i wasn't around for the first weekend, but i still knew why none of these would make any sense during this weekend, that, and having the patience to read 30 lines for conformation.
  22. Umm, last time i looked at it, 52 was a larger number than 46 but i'll have to look that up on the numbers committee... edit: yeah, 52 is definitely a larger number than 46, even in the world of runescape.. And to answer your question of why you should never even consider using battle robes on frost dragons- consider maging frost dragons to make 3m an hour, if you spend an hour to recharge the robes(and i've heard it takes like 3 or more hours) you LOSE 3m. At 1k spells an hour, you will spend around 800k an hour in runes(fire surge with SoL) and would spend 450k an hour in runes, saving 350k an hour, so if the robes take 1 hour to recharge they would need to last 8,5 hours to be even considered worth it(and you'd still lose alot of xp). With 2 hour recharge and lasting 6 hours(both of which are more realistic) they are absolute crap(not to even mention the inferior mage attack bonus).
  23. In theory, slower, but the degrading mostly depends on how many monsters you are killing at once- for example, the rapier wouldn't last 5 hours at lighthouse dagannoths, but would last extremely long(~50 hours) at low hp monsters like greater demons. For me, a rapier lasts for around 900k slayer xp(only tasks with rapier counted, using it on every task). 9th charge going right now... wait, so what you're saying is that fighting 2 monsters simultaneously for 1 minute = 2 minutes of combat for chaotic weapon purposes? Did i say that? I think not. But it has been tested and confirmed several times(i do all tasks but waterfiends with rapier) that the chaotic weapons degrade faster when... A) There are many monsters attacking you B) Monsters have higher hp(less in and out of combat) C) Monsters have higher attack speed(just a theory, but it seems to be so based on slayer tasks) So instead of looking at it from a ''x hours of combat'' standpoint, the degrading more or less depends on how many hit splashes will be on you and how frequently you are in and out of combat. And as a result of all this, 100% rapier charge would be used in around 5 hours at lighthouse dagannoths but on the other hand, if you only used it for greater demon tasks at kurdal dungeon it would last for upwards of 50 hours(low hp, lots of running, frequently getting hit 1-2 times per monster). Overall it doesn't make a major difference because even when doing all tasks with rapier it would only cost you less than 100k an hour, but if you are cheap, you can look for other options.
