  1. Realistically, no, they shouldn't really be going down- there was a large deficit of pages while they were only gotten from wyrewatch pyres, and while they should have recovered, less and less people started doing clues. Now with more people doing them, more people have started to consider filling their books, and each time a book is filled, it's 4 pages off the market forever. Thus, there will always be a fine line of pages brought in and out of the game, likely driving the prices up.
  2. I think some people still confuse what street value means- 6b doesn't mean that if the hat was worth 6b in the ge(which, i might add, would be impossible) it would get equal action on both sides, rather that if the hat were sold with normal/nonmanipulated junk, it would be sold for around 6b in trade(which, i might add, is also impossible), but as junk also has a value(ranging from 0.1-0.95 of it's trade value), the seller isn't getting 6b, but rather only around 1.2-1.7b, which is where the price would be with free trade. In any case, the higher partyhats, and partyhats in general, are not usually sold with junk as it is extremely hard to accumulate such amounts without manipulation, and the restrictions of maximum gp(as there aren't any great gp holding items).
  3. This is clearly now becoming a problem for alot of the competitors- they are blatantly giving up free xp from effigies(aasiwat maxing const/thief and cooking/firemaking means 23k less xp per effigie). I guess skill rankings mean more to them than the big picture. Edit: yeah, somehow i figured aasiwat to be 200m thief but he isn't, so sorry about that. I also understand why they max the skills, but it will get tougher to manage the situations soon enough- maxing slayer would be a good idea for suomi as it would be the next ''hardest'' grind skill.
  4. Well, just think about it- you may not like it, but having the bare minimum effort and getting things done is smart assuming the result is good enough(and it is for dungeoneering). You may have been told to always give your best no matter what, but actually, it's the losing strategy. I didn't think for a moment jagex intended for players to clear all rooms of monsters, because, afterall, they are the combat equivalent of resources, and the skill is called dungeoneering- no combat nr2. People fish when they need to, they mine and make armor when they need to, but monsters should be killed no matter what? no thanks. Rushing just means that you do the bare minimum of ''other'' activities to reach your goal of defeating the boss, and it's clearly the smart strategy. Also i don't think this thread would have much discussion value if it was about personal binds just because there are loads of crazy and inefficient people around.
  5. Rs2= fish x/woodcut x, and now mine x. Didn't use to be able to do those things in rsc.
  6. Why would Jagex add them in the Rooms in the first place if they weren't meant to be killed? If they wanted to have them act as a challenge to run past they would have just put un-attack-able NPC's that fire lasers across the room and cant be prayed against. It's like going to GWD, killing the boss, and just ignoring all the Minions. If you play only for XP/Hr that's your thing, but that doesn't mean everyone else should too. IMHO Rushing floors for xp/hr simply makes it a dull skill of grinding xp/hr, when it has the ability to be so much more enjoyable. I'm not talking about clearing dead ends, but normal rooms you run through. If I can clear a solo medium (including clearing dead ends) in ~40 minutes, I don't see why a 5:5 large cant clear a large map (ignoring dead ends) in less than 60 minutes time? It's a dull skill anyway, just like any skill will become dull with grinding it. The fact that you don't rush floors and don't clear dead end rooms just makes you a hypocrite, the monsters are there to make the dungeon harder- the point of dungeoneering is to defeat the boss and end a dungeon as fast as possible getting as much xp as possible- sure, you get a small bonus for killing monsters, but if it's not efficient, there is no point in doing it. In any case, most of the people that complain about rushing are those who are bad at combat, so go figure.
  7. Scrolls that are activated when inside a helmet don't use up special move points. I don't think it's 100% true, they sometimes take points, sometimes don't. It's also sometimes smart to carry summoning pots to be able to use more scrolls an hour, assuming you have the inventory space.
  8. Steel titan > Iron titan >>> wolpertinger You should always use as many scrolls as possible for the titans, aswell as have some scrolls inside your FSH(somehow allows you to do more specs every hour).
  9. Dragon claws are the best melee special weapon to use and can add up to 10 kills an hour if used correctly(on dragons that are far from the cannon) but it's not worth it to bring many spec restores because inventory space is scarce and it would add even more unnecessary clicking(the amount of clicking is actually why i'm researching ranging- if you can get the same or 5% less kills(210 vs. 200) an hour with MUCH less clicking, it's no doubt worth it to use ranged). EEE is a great special weapon to use because it allows you to nearly offset the overload damage, resulting in less bother with soul split.
  10. RuneScape Resizeable doesn't work for me...the inv never gets on top of anything. You just have to drag it until it eventually overlaps, should be able to do it. gotta zoom out as well while your in reisizable @ It has kind-of been mentioned before with offering oh has it? link me the vid or post please Your method requires mousekeys, but the method of offering faster without mousekeys if you don't like afk offering is offer-5 and do manual offering at the same time. In any case, it's extremely unlikely someone is going to last an hour of doing this, much less 200m xp in a week.

  12. It has kind-of been mentioned before with offering but... how to you get your inventory to overlap with the game-information screen?

From my experience, karils is far better than bandos as the melee attacks are far more accurate and hit higher, you'll have no problem with healing with unicorn and karils, can't really say that for bandos. For other items- attack bonus items will be far better than str bonus items- ardy cape is the best cape, attacker helm is a bit better than neit(neit gives both str and pray so...) and onyx ring would be better than berserker(i).
  14. For cooking, the fastest cooking xp can be gained if you click on food-click on fire/range-click to cook one- this specific action takes exactly one game tick(0,6 seconds), and if you are fast enough, you would be able to cook up to 5000+ food an hour, or, cook food at the same time as fletching(fletch 10 bolts for every food item), though it'd take enormous amounts of clicking, but otherwise, no, it's not possible to use cook-x and fletch while cooking, though, as said, it might be possible to use magic spells to cook and fletch at the same time(might).
  15. I have no idea how someone with your stats has no idea what efficiency means, but oh well, everyone isn't born equally intelligent. Anyone who says that whip is better than rapier because it doesn't need repairs is just rubbish at the game. You can't buy time.
  16. It's possible as there is actually no delay for cooking, but it would require ridiculous amounts of clicking, so it's not reasonably possible. The skills for which it is reasonably possible are mining, woodcutting and fishing, though there might be some more.
  17. Yeah, in the old days, people used to know which servers were members and which were not. Also, people used to use scapeboard  If you haven't ever played rsc, it'd be hard for me to consider you oldschool. The fact that things become easier in time is inevitable, but it doesn't mean things get better.
  18. But take twice the inventory space...
  19. I don't think it's a bad task by any means even when you don't have the cape- you can still get up to 42k slayer xp an hour and profit greatly, but it's just no longer worth it to mage the task(max around 38k slayer xp an hour). Should you spend 2k points? no idea, getting a fire cape is by far the sensible thing to do, but if you really don't find any way it'd be possible, then yes, it's not the worst thing in the world to buy the ability.
  20. Dam, that's what i wanted to say. But in any case, it's more than clear that this thread has the sole reason of trolling or the author used a time-machine from the past to tell us something relevant, only to find out that it's completely and utterly irrelevant nowadays. It's likely the thread will get locked when the author starts to flame/get flamed, so i think the decent thing would be to lock the topic as soon as possible.
  21. The more mage xp you get the worse you are at maging them, y'know? I don't think i get that much mage xp from even a max task. And well, considering you don't even have fire surge(the next best spell would be wave, and that's a huge loss), no, you shouldn't even consider maging. And just to be clear, melee is BETTER than mage without fire cape(with fire cape the figures are 35k vs 40k slayer xp an hour no cannon). I believe Zarfot said with Fire cape it's a max of 48k xp/hr in Slayer. Regardless, even if you don't have the fire cape, as long as you have Fire Surge it is worth it to mage them. A 40 damage difference might go a long way, but when you're hitting them with constant 600's+ they're gonna down a lot faster than if you melee'd. Erm...i hit constant 600s with melee so...also, magic is only 5 speed... And well, going by your example(and i guess this is only fair), zarfot, himself, MELEES ice wyrms. Also you overlooked the part about no cannon, i get 50k an hour on the tasks that i do, but w/e, i have a fire cape. Fire surge doesn't automatically mean it will be better, and the fact that mage is MUCH more expensive makes it much worse. I think mage isn't even better if you don't have arcane stream necklace(with fire cape, that is), just because of the cost. Another point to remember, while you are talking about hitting 600s without a cape, others are hitting 1100's.
  23. If you really can't get it and know someone who can and trust, there is a way(well, obviously i'm not going to mention it, but just say'in). Otherwise, yes, it's borderline worth getting for the drops, but don't expect amazing xp from the task anymore. Mageing them without a fire cape really isn't worth it as it would be somewhat slower than melee and much more expensive. Also consider cannoning when you don't have fire cape.
  24. Apart from losing 21k more if you were to die, there is no difference at all. Also i don't think it's particularly helpful mentioning that cape when there is less out than there than normal people have fingers to count on.
