Jagex Confusing Players
I'm a bit confused by how long brawling gloves last. I'd also like to know if percentage bonuses (20% str boost) work on the basis of our strength level, strength bonus or both. If so I would like to know what bonus a level equals. Is 1 strength level equal to +1 strength boost? Are higher levels equal to a higher boost or the same? If anyone has answers I'd really appreciate it. :

The new slayer monster.
Mist Staff (lol) New Lightsource Summoning/Herblore 2nd Ingredient Lightning Runes/Spells (lol) Fremmelik Weapon/Armour Dragon Pickaxe (lol) I'm just throwing out random ideas. I hope the item is at least worthwhile to obtain and isn't a very common drop. I'm sure on the release date that these monsters will be packed, so it'll be fun to fight over them. Maybe there will be a quest to kill them, but that seems unlikely.

If you need a ton use the GE (unless price is being manipulated). If you don't need a whole lot, use the familar. :

Should I drop my farming seeds?
Well, selling would make more sense than dropping. Keeping them would depend on how you usually farm and which seeds you prefer to plant.

99 Smith for 40m?
I added in the other calculations. It should help with your decision.

99 Smith for 40m?
I'm not exactly sure on costs or the best method considering both time and money, but I'll calculate a little scenario based on current GE prices. This will be based on selling the items you smith for medium GE value and buying bars for medium GE value. 70-73 (Iron Knives) Bar Cost: 238 GP/XP: 2.72 Item Worth: 34 [5] Number of Bars: 10,211 Overall Cost: 694,348 73-99 (Adamant Bolts) Bar Cost: 2,295 GP/XP: 7.12 Item Worth: 185 [10] Number of Bars: 192,665 Overall Cost: 85,735,925 Total Cost: 86,430,273 If you use SC hammers this cost will be halved, so the total cost would be 43,215,137. Obviously SC hammers are worth obtaining from the SC minigame. You would need 193 Sc hammers, which would require only 3860 SC points. Regular games are 20 minutes, and skilling only games are 10-14 minutes. I personally enjoy the game, so obtaining points is more fun than the actual skilling. Another way to calculate costs would be to simply find the GP/XP on particular items, and then multiply that value by the XP you need for 99 smithing. I'll add some of those calculations in shortly. XP/GP Values Iron Knife: 2.72 Iron Platebody: 6.57 Steel Knife: 7.79 Steel Platebody: 9.77 Mithril Bolt: 6.46 Mithril Platebody: 8.91 Adamant Bolt: 7.12 Adamant Arrowtip: 10.61 Adamant Platebody: 5.32 Based on the fact that the Adamant Platebody is a low GP/XP cost and very fast (unless I miscalculated), I'm going to calculate from 88-99 smithing for them as they seem to be a wise choice for smithing training (especially with SC hammers). 70-88 Iron Knife Bar Cost: 238 GP/XP: 2.72 Item Worth: 34 [5] Number of Bars: 145,926 Overall Cost: 9,922,968 73-88 Adamant Bolt Bar Cost: 2,295 GP/XP: 7.12 Item Worth: 185 [10] Number of Bars: 54,287 Overall Cost: 24,157,715 88-99 Adamant Platebody Bar Cost: 2,295 [5] GP/XP: 5.32 Item Worth: 9,814 Number of Bars: 138,379 Overall Cost: 45,969,504 Total Costs Iron Knives & Adamant Plates: 55,892.472 Adamant Bolts & Adamant Plates: 70,127,219 As you can see there is quite a difference from the first calculations to these that include Adamant Platebodies. There is also quite a difference between using Iron Knives until 88 smithing vs Adamant Bolts. The question is whether or not you want speed or cost efficiency. Take into account that SC hammers will also half the costs of these calculations. You will need the same number of SC hammers as I listed earlier, but costs will drop from 43M from the prior scenario to 28-35M based on this one. Best of luck and have fun. :

Best Pure Training Spots?
Are you F2P or P2P? You may as well kill cows if F2P and bank the hides until you make some cash and increase your stats. After you have a desired amount of cash you can head to the SOS and train on Minotaurs & Flesh Crawlers. If you are P2P I suggest training some non-combat skills to make cash. I'll expand more on it once you say whether or not you are a member. :

I suppose if it was myself I would just invest in rares that appeal to me. Then even if something happens and all rares become untradeable (lol) you would have the ones that you like. I can't really expand much on this. All items except rares will undoubtly fall in worth over the next 2 years unless some odd update causes them to rise. Just the same rares could fall in worth, but that is quite unlikely in comparison to all other items. Then again, I would probably just keep it as a cash pile.- Zanik's crossbow (+mobilizing armies)
If you can use a Rune x-bow then use that. The Zanik's x-bow is only useful compared to the old bone crossbow when using bone bolts. If you can use a Rune x-bow and broad bolts, do just that.- Unmuting YouTube video's
Awesome. Now all I need is something worth recording.- Zanik's crossbow (+mobilizing armies)
I believe broad bolts do not work in the Zanik's Crossbow. If you meant bone bolts, then Zanik's is an ok choice. I would suggest broad bolts & a Rune x-bow though. I'm not sure if Mobilizing Armies will turn out like the wilderness tag mini-game or if it will actually get completed. Your guess is as good as mine.- Real life pictures - 3
Heh, you posted one.- Drinking - shots
I thought Corky's had a low alcohol percentage shot-wise? When I go to the bar no one counts how many shots they drink, aside from when one turns 18 and does the honourary 18 shots. Although, around here it's usually 18 [blocked drink name] for an 18th birthday. Aside from that people don't really drink to be drunk, but to have a good time and enjoy the buzz on the way. I don't drink to be drunk nor to do it cheaply. I drink while casually having an enjoyable time, and drink what tastes good, not what will get me drunk the fastest or for the least amount of money. Although, maybe that's just a personal preference.- 27th May - Dungeon maps and spam filter
I like all the updates aside from the HP bar. That one just isn't to my liking.- Jagex Twitter Update
I'd say it has to be the dungeon maps. Sadly I have no use for them. :| There could also be a leprechaun/charm update along with it. I'm not too sure about the "lucky charm" aspect of the hint.- Greatest Cause of Human Misery
- Bandos and SGS for slayer
Well, for someone with low defence and prayer like myself the SGS is amazing. I also don't train summoning so I don't have a bunyip/titan to heal me while slaying. If you have a bunyip you likely wouldn't need a SGS unless you had a good bit of spare cash and no other use for it. I'm not sure how it fairs for boss hunting, but I imagine it works quite well if you have lower level monsters nearby to spec on. I would suggest borrowing a SGS multiple times from a friend to get the feel of it. You could then confidently decide if it's worth the 45M+ to you.- 40 farming
I'd have to say that sounds like a great method. be sure not to forget trees & fruit trees when available. If farming is your lowest stat then you could also play Tears of Guthix weekly for some experience. There is also that Jade vine for some farm/slay xp (I may be wrong on the name). Aside from that your method should be the greatest xp. Have fun. :- Visage
Whoa, what? Sorry for being off topic, but did they really take iron/steel dragons off of slayer tasks? After you complete the "Smoking Kills" quest you can choose to use your points to cancel or block a current task. I believe up to 4 tasks can be blocked for 100 points each.- Visage
Sell the visage (if possible) and buy some nice armour or some supplies for stat training. Since most of your dragon tasks are blocked you likely won't find a ton of use from a DFS. Although, it depends on what other combat activities you take part in. - Need long term investment advice.
