  1. I suggest training on fire giants once you get around 80 range. I have trained there from 78-91 range, with the odd slayer task in between. It is very profitable, the xp is easy, and there are tons of safespots. I would suggest buying 10-30k bone bolts at a time, and just training until you are down to your last 2k, then restocking. That way you will not over-spend, and are able to avoid any annoying updates to the bows, if there are any. :
  2. 'Lightning' and 'Blogscape' are some very interesting chat rooms. :)
  3. I understand what you are saying, and it definitely makes sense. They are pursuing the wrong target, so to speak. This will likely be locked/deleted, but I think it would be nice to allow everyone to see your view, as you have single handedly experienced what Jagex is trying to condemn, and what know what efforts they should be making.
  4. I love the intelligence of your posts Hohto. It makes them above most others worth reading. : As for this whole "rare" item discussion, people such as myself buy them as personal rewards for achieving set goals. If they drop, so be it. When they rise, that is great. I understand that some people break the rules to gather rares, whereas others break the rules for easy skilling. There is not one method that rules are not broken, as there are always people on both sides looking for an easy way out. There is no sense in arguing about unbridled human nature.
  5. I believe it is around twice as fast as the Protection prayers, if you have the same prayer level and prayer bonuses for each example.
  6. Maximum bonuses with DDS specs is generally a better choice. :

I am going to throw out a guess of about a month, if you play 3-4 hours per day. It generally depends how long you play for, and how effectively, but this is a general idea. :
  8. Dust Devils - 65 slayer required Kalphite - Team required for yourself Also, I have been told by numerous peopel that you can get a Dragon Chain from the high gamble at the Barberian Assult mini-game. Just the same as the Dust Devils, the chances are quite slim.
  9. If you get some hides, I will gladly assist my crafting level to you, so that you may make them into bodies. If this is not what you want, then I suggest looking on the Runescape Official Forums (RSOF) for a seller of green dragonhide bodies. :)
  10. We do have researchers, unless you are meaning something different than what I understand. As for all this information, Private Messaging an Administrator would be your best option, because then you both could speak "privately" and that is what it would come down to anyways.
  11. I would suggest a rune X-bow with mithril bolts or higher for killing high level monsters, and a Dorgeshuun X-bow with bone bolts for all around training. : If I had to choose between the Karils bow and the Crystal bow, I would have to say the Crystal bow if you can afford to get it's charges down, because it then generally becomes a rather cheap monster-killing weapon.
  12. This may work, but wouldn't you rather protect from melee versus the troll king? If I remember the quest, there isn't anyone ranging, aside from when you pass the mountain edge and the trolls throw rocks. In which case you could protect.
  13. A possibility for your attack could be the Dummies in Varrock, although I am unsure on the xp they give. I believe your combat skill levels start at 0xp, so that could not be it, unless of course I am wrong. I'm also not sure if randoms give no xp, or if they just give a lesser value (when fighting them). That could definitely be it, but only if they do give some xp. I am sure that they do not give full xp per hit though. If I think of something I'll post it. :D
  14. No, they will most likely not refund you.
  15. Hunter - Click! Click! Click! Click! Runecrafting- Ahh!! Rc Pker!! Well, that is the just of it. Rcing is a faster and more effective way to make cash, but you can always possibly die, and it requires some cash for investment. Hunter requires little cash input, the levels come fast (if that is a concern), the cash is ok, but not nearly as great at rcing. The only problem with it would be the rapid clicking, which becomes even more needed as you are able to use more traps, and catch chinchompas faster. If you can't decide, try each one for a few hours, and figure out what you might like.
  16. I would suggest the crafting guild method as stated in one of the earlier replies. It is simple, effective, and will make 70 seem effortless. Well, as compared to 80. :
  17. I would also suggest bone bolts until 99. Maybe knives up until 80 though, because you would like 80 to come quicker, and bone bolts seem more effective after 80. :)

Well, change is an unavoidable thing in life. All you can do is attempt to change ti back, or change your views on the alteration. I respect that duelers want their old ways back, but not the way that they are trying to get them back. :?
  19. I am rather annoyed with this as well, which is why I try to pk the lurers, myself. I had been tricked once, but it didn't work out so well for the lurer. I was recently PM'd about joining some clan that does this steadily (the Ice Plateau Telly), and was PM'd only several hours after nearly falling for the lure myself. I gave the player a piece of my mind, reported, and added to my ignore list. All I had to do was turn my Private Chat "On" for a few hours, and I get these weird requests. I would suggest either of these things: Turn Accept Aid "Off" Turn Private Chat to "Friends" Also, when in doubt, head South. In short, I am also annoyed, and understand where you are coming from. All we can do as players is report it, avoid it, and put up with it. -.-
  20. Just make a tank or Zerker pure and get some nice maxed stats at 99 combat, with high slayer. Below is my Zerker pure's combat goal. You could do something similar if it interests you. : 77 Att 99 Str 45 Def 99 Range 99 Mage 52 Pray 99 HP 99 Combat Here are also some possible tank stats. I can't check the combat calculator at the moment, but I will once I get home in 10-12 hours. 99 Att 50 Str 99 Def 99 Range 99 Mage 11 Pray (Due to Priest in Peril for Ancients) 99 HP 99 Combat (I believe the combat will be 99, and 1 prayer would be 97.) I hope this helps somewhat, because making a 1 defence pure with high slayer would be slow, annoying, costly, and impressive. Whereas this could be easy, faster, and impressive. :
  21. If there are any permanant teams out there I will also be interested later, when my range is maxed and prayer is 52. I do not see why a person wouldn't accept you as a team member for bandos, as I did very well there the 2 weeks I went. The only thing might be that higher level teams only require 2-3 people, and you would be included in the lower level range. You might have better luck to just find a clan that does God Wars runs weekly, or bi-weekly. Killing Bandos is probably your best option.
  22. I would suggest buying the item you prefer. The thing is that the mask is more likely to increase by a greater amount from the time you retire, to the time you return. The santas however, even if they increase by a smaller amount, if it is greater than half of the amount of increase by the mask, you will make more profit, due to you having 2 santas. As I said at the beginning of the post, buy the item that you prefer. :
  23. I would stick with Duradel because he gives the highest level tasks, and in the greatest numbers. :
  24. It takes about 5 hours to get a Fighter Torso. I did it in 6 with a horrible team, at about 80 combat.. long ago.
  25. I prefer option 2, myself. :D
