Best Combat (NOT support!) familiar for Aviansies?
he's right. My good 'ol turtles help take down a few avians during kc occasionally. Are you tanking or praying? if tanking, use a bunyip over anythign else(pony/titan is overkill), and if you're under 68 summoning, use an overlord or mith minotaur. Those are the only figthers that I remember standing out around that level at all...

Summons and PP??
Wouldn't a Bunyip be more useful? I don't really remember energy problems with PP, but then again, I was not there for very long.

Circus
I'm currently failing miserably in my attempts to get that damn clown tambourine... try doing everythign that you would do to get your maxed score, but leave out emotes. Maybe try doing the lvl 80 or 90 tricks instead of the 99 ones...Good luck.

fire titan
What he said, except there's a def boost too. Don't waste all that money on normal training.

GWD: Bandos gear
I am sure I saw ONE hit that was in the high 50's... Unless they started stacking hits in to one little bubble, I am positive his max is higher than 35... No, you didn't. I solo a lot in my spare time, and I've yet to see a hit in the 40s. You must have either seen the number incorrectly or been hit by a melee attack.

Saradomin Boss
Zil is actually the only of the 4 that hits low enough for a ROL to be useful in MOST cases. There really is not much risk of being ko'd at Sara unless you lag or you're an idiot and stand still/walk(don't do that). Also, isn't the whole point of soloing to get the increased chance of a drop from a ROW? At elast that's why I do... Only ever tried soloing at sara once and that was with an invent+bird of sharks, and I just got 2 kills. I also have lower range and was using inferior equipment, so I'm no help whatsoever.

summoning pouches
Trading in scrolls gives you either 10 or 20% less shards. I forget which, but either way, you should never trade in scrolls unless you got them through a trade, in which case it would most likely be better to keep them for future trades.

Spirit Shield Vs Obsidian Shield at Saradomin/Armadyl boss
If you can use ponies then you require NO other food, at all, in teams of at least 3 people. I'm not sure, but I'm betting that a full bird and inventory of brews/restores(3:1 ratio) and tireless run scrolls(even though you probably won't be buying them), cost more than unicorn scrolls(I personally have thousands because I hoarded greens) and the few sweets that you will need. Like I said before, you shouldn't have to use that energy boost so often.

best waterfeinds set up
I remember trying void once and I ended up needing to take along food, so I'd advise against it but whatever... Kills WILL be faster off task, though.
-
Spirit Shield Vs Obsidian Shield at Saradomin/Armadyl boss
Bit random... People use purple sweets with opther familiars. In a team, if you manage your energy right you won'y need more than 1 or two sweets every 10 minutes or so. I take a bird soloing, though.

I use neitznot over dwarven helm for the strength and prayer bonus, but I use the piety method. Take sgs for specs. You shouldn't need any food if you're in karils and using range protect prayer.

Spirit Shield Vs Obsidian Shield at Saradomin/Armadyl boss
It also gives higher crush, +1 or 2 more magic def and +1 prayer. That's why i considered it. But i have used it at Arma, and i have gotten hit badly. So i don't think spirit shield beats Obby. The ONLY difference at arma would be either 1 to slash for obsidian, or 1 to magic for spirit. The combined damage from Kree and Wingman is a LOT more than what you take from Kilisa(think he's slash), so magic defense is mroe important. Either way, 1 point would not make a noticable difference, so the difference that you noticed was purely incidental, and if you did any extensive testing a spirit shield would come out being better in such a small way that it does not matter at all. Like I said before, range bonus is virtually irrelevant. The differences at Sara, however, are much more noticeable. The VAST majority of damage at Sara comes from Bree(you shouldn't be getting hit by Zil so much, and starfire wanders), so the 20 points to range defense has an effect. The 1 point difference in stab defens eis negligible, but it also supports obsidian.

Spirit Shield Vs Obsidian Shield at Saradomin/Armadyl boss
A spirit shield would be better at arma for the mage defense. An obsidian shield would be better at Sara for the range and melee(I think that starlight and zil use stab attacks). 8 Range bonus is pretty irrelevant at Sara or Arma.

lending AGS & junk advice please
I'd say just buy some pouches, convert them to shards, and use the shards as junk. In reality you won't be making nearly as much if you actually had the junk...but you don't, and it's still free money with next to no effort so why not?

Training Strenght through obsidian combo
No, and I'm going to go search for some question form a while ago to all you "pro-controlled" people that is STILL not answered... EDIT: Not meaning to hijack your thread, but I've seen this statement repeated in various forms over and over. can someone PLEASE explain to me how this is true? Let's take the levels of 80 to 90 in consideration, not even going as far as to max out... The rate at which you gain experience is entirely dependent on the damge that you deal, correct? Also, damage dealt is affected by your attack and strength levels with no direct input from defense, correct? If the two previous statements are indeed correct, then how is it possible that you would get the expereince from 80 to 90 in all 3 melee skills faster while training controlled than you would if you were to train attack and strength to 90 initially with a whip and sara sword using their respective focused options? Using the focused methods seperately, you would reach your maximum potential to recieve experience(90 attack and strength) faster than you would reach your maximum potential with controlled training(and then you would not be trainign at maximum speed at all what with already being done). If you train in the order of attack, then strength, and then defense. Then the time that it took to finish your defense trainign would be shorter than the time which it took to finish your strength trainign which in turn would be shorter than the time which it took to finish your attack trainign because with focused training each step aids the next. Based on all that stuff tha I just spewed, I see no way that a whip on controlled is faster than a whip on focused attack, sara sword on focused strength, and then whip again on focused defense. The lower rate of experience gain from the lack of a defender is not great enough to cause enough of a slow down, and since you trained attack already, you have 10 more levels to make up for that loss of 20 accuracy bonus. Also, I'd assume that someone with 90 attack and strength using a dragon scimitar would deal damage much more quickly than someone with 80 attack and strength using a whip, do to the fact that I think that levels carry far more weight than equipment bonuses. That statement however, has no proof or evidence whatsoever and is merely my opinion. So please, please explain to me how

Phoenix...
The picture in BtS had it "standing" over one of those familiar circle things from Summer's End, which is a pretty good indication of it being a familiar, I think. I'm betting it will require around 50ish summoning and be next to useless outside of the minigame, but the nice thing bout pessimism is that sometimes you get "disappointed."

Does slayer require a good combat level?
I started with around 60 in all the melee stats, because I wasn't a member before then. Starting early might be harder, but it will probably make those lower levels a lot less tedious, and some of the lower leveled slayer monsters are a pretty good source of money.

How to sell a Phat
I don't think that the "let it sit on the GE for a few months" thing will work with party hats anymore because the prices are moving now. You'd probably have to keep resetting it at minimum price every time that it changes, or go for an out of GE method which I know nothing about.

Turkeys
I assume that they'll replace penguins like pumpkins do currently, and if they do, it's lame that Juagex ruined the surprise.

Slayer XP help
Umm...dragons with D slayer gloves are 10% more slayer xp than their hp, and um...I think if somone else does damage it effects the experience in soem way.

Can i solo mage dks w/o guthans? *new* is CoG worth it?
I take an unholy book for the mage bonus, a defensive shield would probably be more useful, though.

Arma vs Bandos...
That's completely wrong. bandos is much more profitable for the simple fact that it's almost 100% profit(except for the tank) especially if you have even at least 68 summoning. I take 26 brews and 10 super rests on each arma trip(each of which gets less kills than a bandos trip with a few ponies and monks), and then you have to add in the bolts as well. The ONLY time that arma is more profit is if you get a hilt(or I suppose that you could compare a helm to boots), because bandos armour is worth more. Bandos is crowded as hell though, and you're much more likely to run into idiots while there, so I personally preferr arma, but bandos is definately more profitable. [/hide] What about if you have a Unicorn? And this is why I always ask for confirmation. I do, and what I posted is from personal experience.

Can i solo mage dks w/o guthans? *new* is CoG worth it?
I'm guessing that you had terrible luck, because I went with guthans and ponies and I never had to use guthans or pray until I ran out of antipoisons...I seriously doubt that that extra bit of range defense(and less magic) made that much of a difference.

You could probably be ok...but maging at dks is THE best use of guthans in my personal opinion. I'd advise that you get guthans. I think that the set is under 4m now  I don't use brews at all when I go(only went once and don't plan on going again) and don't pray. As long as you dont mess up, you could just heal off the spins and stay down there until you run out of antiposions, casts or your armor breaks. Get the mace.
