  1. ...WASD is like the default commands for Up, Left (or straft left), Down, and Right (or straft right) in nearly every First person shooter I have ever played on the PC. Its almost like the universal command. Same as "c" is usually for crouch and "space bar" is for jump. And that specific part on the side seemed like it was specifically for gaming purposes. So it makes sense. Only took a quick glance at the buttons at least. Yes, I get it...I've played many dozens of FPS. But why have 2 pairs of WASD on that keyboard (1 in the normal typing place, and one in the circular extension which makes it a "gaming keyboard"). Why, since it's in that circle anyway, do the keys have WASD on them. There's no need for it, when they could have easily put arrow signs on those keys. And another question. Do those extra W, A, S, and D keys make letters when you open up a chat box?
  2. Wow, I'd never buy it. Kinda cool but at the same time kinda pointless. And look at this one: http://www.thinkgeek.com/computing/input/7a67/zoom/ Lol, why do they bother putting WASD on there...The only reason people even use WASD is because it can get cramped with arrow keys and mouse real close. Plus there's lots of buttons around. But what's the point of printing THOSE letters over to the side, when there's already the regular part of the keyboard. Why wouldn't they just put arrows on them...Seems weird to me. Plus, that wouldn't help anyone at all with FPS. It would screw up people who've been using the same keys for a decade, and there's plenty of keys in similar poisitons on a default keyboard. The only helpful thing would be the circular 1-9 keys. As for yours, what's the point of having it display stuff on a keyboard. Then you have to look away. How's that going to help?
  3. I read a great one yesterday about "jumping the shark" or where it's the beginning of the end for a TV show. Examples were things like changing main characters, changing locations, children going into puberty, overuse of guest stars etc.
  4. It was about Star Wars Galaxies. No one answered my question (surprise? not really). The first post I can remember reading (probably not actually the first one) was about a person...Who everyone thought was female, but they were doing a project online for their teacher or something to see if they (a male) could pass off as a female online and how people would react to it. And it was the post explaining that they were actually a dude. Who was that?
  5. LOL. I've been watching that on Sports Center all morning. They keep airing it like 6 times an hour. And they have the flashback of the game in 1982, where the band ran on, and the guy had to run through them and he decked one of the guys at the end. I wish he woulda scored at the end...
  6. I watched yesterday: The Great Raid: This was a pretty good movie. Not like, amazing or anything. It had a pretty decent story, and the character's were sufficient. The first 3/4 of the movie is the planning, and character building, and while it tends to drag on, the last 1/4 is awesome. For about 20-30 mins, there is an AMAZING action sequence, where they are actually taking part in the raid. It was amazingly filmed action, really really fun to watch, at times hilarious, massive explosions, a lot of combat, bullets flying, grenades, mortar, people on fire. It was all you could ask for. While the rest of the movie was average/good, it wasn't too memorable. But the action sequence was AMAZING. Second: Grizzly Man: Well, I will say this is the worst movie I've seen this year. One of the worst movie's I've ever seen, in fact. It was just terrible. For one, the main character (who died - there I said it...don't watch this movie) was really annoying an such. There was hardly any footage of the actual bears he got. It was mostly about him and his friends. It seems all the people involved had their own uniteresting back-story, and they seemed to be reading off of a script. It was really corny a lot of the time, and a waste of time in fact. And when the main chareacter was on camera he was mostly talking about how he hates society, or how he used to drink or...blah blah blah. I did however like it when these two bears duked it out, and one took a huge dump mid-battle. It was the high-point of the movie. This was the worst documentary I've ever seen and had no business being a full length feature. Every documentary you see on Discovery or History or anything will be better than this movie. This didn't even deserve a mid-day, one-hour documentary on animal planet. DON'T WATCH THIS, it's just bad.

    Sweet.
  8. It's fun to watch. I don't think it would be very fun to actually do the stuff though. Some of the stuff sucks to watch tho, like the bungie-diaper, and the paper-cuts between the fingers and on the tongue...Not fun to watch at all...

It might be fun, I'm not sure. My brother's have gone to them. They always come home bruised, and they are always getting kicked in the head by crowd sailers. My one bro went to an outside tour, and he came home sneezing out mud for the next few days. And people always break there legs and get stomped. It might be fun, but none of the music I'm into is the sort that would require lots of headbanging/crowd sailing/people punching.
  10. More - I also wanna work out more, and work out harder. I'm also going to try to eat more, to gain weight. And catch up on my movie watching. As I see it, with New Year's Resolutions, you should set some goals that may be tough, and some goals that are fun. It's easier that way. Plus, if you give up on your unfun Resolutions, atleast your still having fun.
  11. I plan to get a job, probably at McDonald's or something. It's not like I can do much better because I have no experience, and plus it's within walking distance. I also plan to get my Liscence (G1, and G2.) G1 means that you can drive, but you have to have a 4-year-driver in the front seat. In about August I'll get my G2, which means I can drive anywhere by myself, as long as 0% Blood Alcohol, but I can't drive anyway so... I also plan to...play more video games, and work hard on my school (even though I work surprisingly hard now). I need to do well in math.
  12. Sand saved me. I grew this awesome plant, then made a massive oil cloud and set it on fire and it spread into my plant. Luckily I went to sand real quick and saved much of my plant.
  13. Woah, that looks cool. So you have to hit the unit exactly? That must be kinda hard.
  14. I watched It's a Wonderful Life last night, it was on several channels. I thought it was excellent, worthy of it's classic status. It was great because of the writing, but the movie was made excellent by James Stewarts acting. It was unreal how he could play from age like, 18-42 or something, and made it work well, and did an excellent job. I though it was great, an excellent Christmas movie.
  15. Of course people are going to lie, because it's the internet. That's why there's no point in making topics like this. I could say I could do 200 consecutively, and you wouldn't believe me, but since you can't prove it...Yes I can do 200 consecutive pushups.
  16. Wow...I'm really impressed that you explained that so well. I think I understand the basic idea :P Indeed, that does give me some info. Not enough to truly understand it, but enough to get it you know? Thanks. But how can there be something other than time? Edit- I just did about half hour or reading on Wikipedia about spacetime, and space, and time, and relativity. I could only understand the earliest stuff, before they get into all the theories that are indecipherable, but what I understood was mad cool. Then I started reading about multiverses, universes, Big Bang, Big Crunch...And then I realized I was drooling all over my shirt. I wish the Physics program at my school was better :(.
  17. I had a really strange dream last night. It wasn't so wierd that I couldn't like, reconjure, or whatever the things that happened, but I have no clue how or why my brain was thinking like that. Some crazy guy, I called him in the dream "The Illusionist" was giving me a tour of a wild, red mansion. It was absurdly designed, strange shaped doors and such. And every new room I'd go to, there would be, what appeared to be corpses laying in the bed. And so I went to one, and it had two, apparently dead mimes in it. And when I went to go see them, they woke up, and we danced around, and for some reason I was entirely unafraid. I remember actually feeling happy in the dream, but when I woke up I was terrified. And then the illusionist moved me to new and different rooms, one had a person who was apparently stabbed and burned, and she got up too. It was so...strange.
  18. I can think of a few artists who have had as much or close to the influence/popularity/recognition he has: Radiohead Nine Inch Nails Marilyn Manson Korn Placebo Audioslave Deftones Evanescence Faith No More System of a Down Tool Hmmmm...No, none of those are even close to the calibur of what he said. Influence/popularity/recognition...Eminem is MASSIVE, he has way more than any of those bands. Not that he's better, but he's way more popular/recognized. Influential...Maybe not, because think about how many white rappers we've seen that have made it the charts? But he's definately more recognized, mostly due to his 'controversy'.
  19. Alright, so I now understand the first ones, but how come 2 spaces equals time?
  20. 1. Two "spaces" form time because a "space" extends in 3 directions... Therefore there's only one "space" in 3d... So two different "spaces" can only be created by time... 2. Two lines form a plane by the unique plane postulate... you'll learn that in 8th or 9th grade in the U.S... 3. I never said there's only 5 dimensions... And there are an infinte number of dimensions... It's just really hard to think about them... Too late, I'm in grade 11. And I'm signed up for Physics next semmester, but it's a terrible physics program.
  21. Max speed today a manned space craft has got up to is 40,000 km/h. If for example we invented some new type of engine, say antimatter propulsion or nuclear fusion propulsion it wouldn't really increase the speed much - would save a lot in terms of fuel though. So lets say a normal Mars to Earth 'bus' travels at 60,000 km/h (no idea if this is the true speed of an antimatter engine). But the distance from earth to Mars is around 45 million miles so it would take a good 2 months of just travelling in space so i'd guess any travel between the 2 planets would be used only in times of real need. That really depends though, what we are using it for. If we fully colonize it, like, say Corusant, then travel will go to and fro often regardless. If we build like, 1 space station for research, and or for launching satelites/spacecraft, it seems unlikely that they would be able to run their own civilization. Also, we need to know whether or not it is possible to make Mars inhabitable, with food/water/air, because therefore we'd need to send supply ships there often. Of course, we don't know how we will use Mars. And you never know whether my invention (a giant, interstellar travel sling) will work.
  22. I don't have a clue what you mean. How can two spaces form time? And How can 2 planes form a space. And how can 2 lines form a plane? And who's to say that if there's a 5th dimension then there aren't infinite dimensions.
  23. Blizzard owns. It's not like Blizzard hasn't done these sort of antics before...
  24. It's not like it's a bad song...It's just that it's not a good song.
  25. Excellent choice. I've always thought it would be cool to play the bango. Or maybe the organ. I'm still working on the triangle.
