  1. BGS is the best non-degradable Corp spec weapon. ZGS a handy spec weapon for Castle Wars. Besides those small niche uses, godswords are entirely outclassed by cheaper alternatives.
  2. It took me a few years, but I started when I was ~95 combat (pre summoning) and took many breaks and trained many other skills during that time. It's impossible for me to give an estimate for how long just the cape would have taken without any other stuff going on. Slayer's not really a skill that many people grind from 1-99 like that, it's more like a long ongoing project for most people I know. Get bored, do slayer task, then maybe go do something else.
  3. Yeah, you keep on getting tokens. For any skill, getting 200m exp only means that you don't get any more exp added to the skill for actions, but you can always use them for anything other than gaining exp.
  4. The black mask is a huge boon, but yeah, overall for straight money you're better off camping off task. However, a lot of people (myself included) find slayer more fun because you do a LOT more damage, and get to mix up the scenery every ~hour. You might find yourself hooked if you try it out. It's also a really awesome skill cape.
  5. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! So, you tried lure a kid, he called his higher level friend to come take you out, and then he convinced you he keylogged you? Sure is nice to have the old morons back from 2007.
  6. narrows the profit margin significantly, which favors flipping while sitting at the ge vs. the old style flipping of flipping while you do other stuff for 4 hours Yeah, this. I kind of miss the old limits because I had gotten very good at using them to my advantage. I'm sure I'll figure out how to make this new system work for me just as well, though.
  7. *facepalm* Look, if he was keylogging you he'd be cleaning out your account instead of stalking you in the wilderness. Using a keylogger to find out what world someone is on and go kill them is like using a gun to startle a bull into charging someone down. He's messing with you, and probably one of your friends is in on it.
  8. Do both. Defense is better because it makes the cannon hit better as well, but both are worth the extra ppots for faster kills.
  9. Someone on your friend list is telling him where you are. Turn your private OFF and see if he can still find you.
  10. Is 15 min Nex possible? and DK's can still be a pain if you don't have anyone opening doors. I would only go to Nex with my perm DG team. ;) But I do wonder if it's possible to get back to Nex in fifteen minutes. As for DKs, it'd be easy for me to grab a friend real quick to open doors. It's totally possible to get to Nex within ~10 minutes. Steel titan scrolls + rapier/ddef + overloads on reavers with claws to claw out the mage spawn is FAST killcount.
  11. Some people had well over 5k of them when the update happened. It was a mess.
  12. It's 4 hours from the last one that was sold to you, not from when you first put the offer in. This is likely your problem.
  13. 520k? Because for 520m, somebody got scammed. Think of how much he'll save on rune bolts!
  14. You can get back to bandos gwd in under 6 minutes. It's always been safe. With a 6-minute gravestone? You do realise that your items disappear when you gravestone runs out of time, right? Yes. You do realise it was possible to get back and get your items, right? Say you made it back in 5 mins 40 secs. You now have 20 seconds to get everything. You might miss something. This was done (not by me) BEFORE extreme pots & a propper titan (steel) He made it back with over 30 seconds left and WITHOUT a soul wars spawn point You can easily get back with 1 minute left if you do it right. Very helpful assuming your death wasn't caused by a lag out. Oh wait, it's Bandos. Everyone's death is caused by a lag out.
  15. No, I'm saying that you should be prepared to risk losing your chaotic if you want to bring 3 items that protect over it. Dying can be unavoidable and it's likely that everyone, if they keep bossing, will die eventually, so plan your gear accordingly and don't risk items that you're not prepared to have a chance at losing. Chaotic protect values are designed such that this is basically impossible, especially for the crossbow. You would know this if you owned chaotics. So yes, you are saying that to use chaotics, you are rolling the dice hoping that Jagex isn't going to kick you off the server and take it from you, which I feel is an unreasonable game mechanic. Losing money, sure, because I'm making a lot of it doing what I'm doing, but losing a chaotic is a huge time sink, so losing it over something that is in no way my fault is a slap in the face.
  16. The problem with that logic is that the vast majority of deaths where you would get some serious loot come from server disconnections or other things outside of the person's control. It's really hard to fail hard enough to die when you're in control of your character anywhere but Nex and maybe Corp if he gets a really good combo. I'll take my opponent's pieces in chess, but if they have to get up to take a phone call or use the bathroom I'm not going to rearrange their pieces to give myself an advantage, because that's not part of the game. That's using outside forces to screw the other guy over. If there was a way to distinguish between legitimate deaths and deaths that are the fault of server problems, I'd be all for punishing legitimate death, but as it is dying is nothing more than getting very bad luck, and I don't think that should carry a hefty price tag. I'm happy about the gravestone update.
  17. Also means no more going to TDs/Bandos and having to finish off one someone left at half HP and then miss the drop. That and 15 minute graves are my favorite parts of this update.
  18. It's called nostalgia. We'll see how many people are there in a month.
  19. So just to be clear, Articultural, you're saying that the downside of chaotic weapons is that at any time while using them Jagex's servers can kick you out and lose you hours of work? Because that is stupid.
  20. Bandos prices: doomed. As if it weren't already easy enough, there's now no reason not to bring absolutely maxed out gear to Bandos, because getting KC and back in within 15 minutes is extremely easy.
  21. Agree. This outdated "high alchemy value" system is [cabbage], especially since Jagex consistently undervalues new items that are really hard to obtain. Dying is supposed to be a penalty, you're supposed to try to avoid it. And that penalty is dealing with a bizarre and mostly arbitrary system allowing you to keep four items you may or may not want to keep? The stated death penalty is you keep your best X items and lose everything else. Why does it need a further clause saying "and also by 'best' we mean whatever our mentally impaired staff decide items should be valued"? I should also point out that, for a game whose servers cause so many deaths that aren't the fault of the player, the death penalty for PvP is pretty draconian. Other games don't tend to punish deaths so severely for the very reason that often it's not really something one could have avoided.
  22. Because it's hard to pull off and be legitimately helpful compared to another 138 DPS, it's hard to get people to give you a shot, and it's hard to get people to cooperate with you when you do find a team (it only really works, especially at first, if people are delivering money to you). That said, I have been in teams with ownage skillers. One time about halfway into the dungeon a level 3 had produced prom gloves/boots, strong melees, and a ton of rejuv pots for everyone so we could start turmoiling everything like a slayer task. Fun dungeon.
  23. TDs

To people hating on bringing a defender just for the shield, try it first. It seems to save more than one darklight hit per shield on average, which is a huge difference for time you're going to save every single TD once and sometimes twice. I would never consider not bringing a defender if my setup doesn't use deflector.
