  1. Say, seeing what both of you have gotten from the crystal chest gives the idea to test what can be gotten and the probabilities from them... Does anyone have 100 crystal keys? :P
  2. I have played for almost five years too and have absolutely no idea what that thing is either... It's probably something new that slipped past Jagex's check.
  3. Only with the experiences of Runescape have I discovered how wise I can really be. Without, God knows what things I'd be doing now. :)
  4. Aww, I always used to buy one weekly near my old school. There's also the kind where the filling is wrapped in a wider, thinner and softer pita called kebab rolls: =P~
  5. I'm quite confused about this nowadays not knowing the street price for rune ores and bars... But you have a point. Smithing has become highly overshadowed and still a hard skill to raise, making even less players training it.
  6. I don't usually spam or ever used this, but... +1 to you. Just like WoW we get discriminated... It's not like we're deficit and can't play online games. =D>
  7. 1: Paul said they make daily backups on DVDs of accounts and the game's source code in case anything goes wrong, so Runescape ending with a physical disaster is debatable. 2: What Runescape lacks in graphics it gains in performance, stability and minimal use of resources. What World of Warcraft gains in graphics (which are still pretty blocky) it eats through your resources, crashes on occasion from outdated addons to no reason, the framerate is murder in crowded cities and I was the only real female member of a 70+ member guild. I also forgot to mention the VERY EXCRUCIATINGLY LONG maintenance time and the aftereffect of a hoard of bugs and lag that follow after one and an "update". :-k 3: Let's face it: Runescape is a free online game. The free version is a magnet to anybody who is looking to kill time; Its content is pretty moderate for a free online game and to emphasise there is no limit to how much one can play since it is free. Aside from that Runescape's member version is HUGE and all people have to pay to access those servers are a mere 5 dollars monthly (Where I live, I spend more buying a meal from Mc Donalds). The reason I left World of Warcraft was lack of non-combat content and I was spending too much when I didn't do anything, whereas Runescape is so cheap to keep a subscription I can keep it up even I take some breaks off it. 4: People are starting to leave WoW since the hype Blizzard built up is dusting off and the game is becoming a borefest. In one of their latest updates on the expansion they're releasing, they completely destroyed faction differences. If you're making an online RPG, don't screw up one of its main features. Jagex hasn't done this yet. In four points I tried to explain how difficult it is for Jagex to CLOSE Runescape. They're doing a superb job with it and have always been. Players are still increasing. :P
  8. Oooo, the Puzzle Pirates Deed concept. I'm not sure how it could work out for Runescape but it's not a bad idea.
  9. Wealth is nice and all, but I'd rather be able to be self-reliant and independant in the big picture. Skills.
  10. What about the Prince/ss of Miscellania? :P It's just a phase, which they'll probably grow out of when they'll be 14-15, like I did. I used to tease guys for fun anyway. O:)
  11. I'll be original and combine both options for the most unneeded skill in the game: Slayer. While herblore, runecrafting and prayer are the longest skills to train, they are also the most useful skills for anyone, and in some of the harder quests requirements. Farming, agility and thieving may take long and not as useful yet having these is a very nice convenience, especially with higher level farming which contains farming-only ingredients other skills need such as coconuts. Firemaking IS a skill, both in the game and in real life. Back when oil lighters didn't exist yet people had to use flint and tinder to ignite a flame on a log, which sometimes took a while without experience on making fire. Yes you guessed it's a survival skill, when a fire isn't available anywhere. Slayer, on the other hand, is pretty unneeded. Players would pelt me with pebbles for this seeing it's the source of the abbysal whip but the truth is I don't need to grind a skill to be able to kill a monster I can kill already. The rare equipment you say? Shadow warriors are less than level 60 and drop the left shield half and you don't need any slayer level to kill them; only being a member of the Legends Guild.
  12. Level: 7 Amount: 1-5kish How: I... Err... Looted the coins from people that left on the ground when they killed guards...
  13. If I recall Legends was the last quest added in Runescape classic, might that be it?
  14. The wilderness. Hooray! :D
  15. Your argument would be true, if it weren't for the fact that these weapons also make part of the ranged skill: Crossbows and Bolts, Darts, Javelins, Throwing Axes, Chakra, Throwing Knives, The Dwarf Multicannon. A "ranger" using any of the above is definetly not an archer.
  16. Don't forget the three troll cooks: Ash, Burntmeat and Dung. Cannibalism normally means one of a race/species eating another of the same.
  17. Slow and steady wins the race.
  18. For one point, I totally agree: Crystal armour. How to obtain this would be obvious to questing people.
  19. Actually, the dragon claws would make sense being accessible after a quest followup of the Troll saga. Their special? Shred, which has armour-piercing damage.
  20. I have more than one favourite, is that permissible? Arabique, Wrath and Ruin, Underground, Too Many Cooks..., Village, Principality, Pirates of Peril, Monster Melee, Intrepid, Aztec, Aye Car Rum Ba.
  21. Male: Dionysius, AKA Wise Old Man. He's practically the human Runescape mascot now. Runner-up goes to Evil Dave, because he is soooo EVIIIIL! Female: Baba Yaga, compliments for the chicken house. Other: Tie between Sergeant Damien and Bob the Jagex cat.
  22. Coal has a bigger demand with less places to mine it. Hence, it's more valuable as a resource.
  23. Blunt, but true. Not even I were that gullible in my preteens. #-o
  24. I rarely do this anymore, because: 1: People can't spell even if paid. 2: You can't tell if who you're helping really is a new player. 3: They will become lazy and expect everything handed to them in a silver plate.
  25. I accidentally encountered a pk party composed of about eight people and... They all died from attacking me. It's one thing to zerg and another thing to fail at it. :
