I agree with danq on this one. The thing that makes this skill slow is the charm gathering.. the actual pouch making itself is pretty fast for exp.. if they released the charms early then the people that hoarded could just power to 99 and we'd be seeing people with 99 in 9 days like what happened with hunter.

Yeah that's the thing i don't understand. I assume that to use a pouch, you need the summoning level to make that pouch? If so, then why on earth would you buy it for way more than the cost of materials and recieve no exp for making the pouch? Surely in a skill where it's so hard o get exp, you want to be doing things that get you the most possible, for the least cost.. co why are jagex expecting us to pay over the odds for it on ge with no exp? :S 1k posts \

30 seconds after I loaded the first Summoning KB page for the first time I said to myself, "hoo boy, they are going to have a LOT of confused kiddies with this." BTW, if the pouches are so valuable, why did some idiot assign them giveaway prices on the GE? Have you checked the prices of the higher level/more useful summons yet? I dont have a members account so i'm unable too, but i'd hope they would have a decent start price. I understand that the lower ones wuldnt sell because they're relatively useless and in huge supply. I guess the moneymaking potential comes down to the start prices on the ge.. too low and they'll be totally unsellable. Hopefully after seeing players concerns over the price of the skill they'll double check ge prices to make sure it's profit worthy.. i'm not holding my breath just yet though :P

I still think this one is the best idea so far: It's easily readable and fits everything onto 1 page. Although i like your idea too 3 hit. I'm surprised they didn't learn from the old spell book that people don't like scrolling interfaces.

I don't have a members account so i can't check, but can anyone confirm that the price of the new herb is around 7k, and the new pot (4) is around 150gp!? i saw it posted somewhere and it made me laugh because if that's the case.. neither herb or potioan will be able to be sold.

I think it's more the way the handled it rather than what they actually did it. The update was just dumped on everyone with no prior warning at all, there was no real alternative put in place to make up for the update (i'm talking alternative to 1v1 pking) and the fix they promised isn't due for another 6 months which, to a kid, seems like a lifetime away. Also remember that the new item you quoted didn't come for a full week after the update. There was a full 7 days when everyone thought that BH was as good as it was going to get.

I think the whole BH idea is fudementally flawed. A game where the objective is for 1 person to kill another person, yet it in a multi combat area was never going to work. It's a total oversight on the part of the developers, of course in a multi combat area people will want to team.. it's human nature. This problem's compounded by the huge level gaps for the portals. Do they expect a level 55 to stand a chance against a level 100? Suppose the multi-combat issue didn't exist and everybody played solo and went after their target as intended.. anybody under 85 combat wouldn't stand a chance anyway. I tried out the game on my 62cb pure a while back and got slaughtered by level 90+'s, and of course i was a few levels too high to use the low level portal so it's literally impossible for me to find a fair fight on that account. The high level portal is a little more balanced. A level 100 can have a 90+ melee skill and be able to put up some kind of fight, but since most players that would want to use BH would fall into the mid portal category, some changes really need to be made to fix it.

You need to get it to either adult, or overgrown (can't remember which) Gertrude won't give you another kitten if you still have one either in your inventory, following you or in bank. So it's going to take a good while to train up those kittens to get enough deaths for a fury.

I liked to kill them in sara's camp, although you need 70 agil to get in there. There's 3 mage spawns and a werewolf to distract, so you never need for or prayer pots.

As the kubr.net graphs show, the population's stayed pretty much the same over the year. It's gone down a bit for the past 30 days, but remember, there's a big holiday in december so more people would have been playing. Now people are back at work/school/college the numbers are dropping off a bit. The drop in players for January is interesting though: without data for last January it's hard to tell if it's normal, but the graph definitly shows 50k less players last week than any previous weeks that we have data for.

Either collect them, or alch for around 66k.

The general store still buys for the price it always did, so you can still work out the high alch price. It just sells for the ge price. That's why it killed things like barrows using the Morton store to sell and rebuy supplies, and General shop nat making on Karamja.
