  1. Rawr. That's if you can find wood that you can cut/fletch. I need higher fletching... Not enough corpsethorn in a lot of dungeons -.-
  2. The people on the private boards get an encrypted link to the REAL private boards. @ The drains: I always assumed the drains were only in effect as long as you kept the curse on, and kept fighting that monster.
  3. My solution to this is to make my own emp fire staffs, and bind something other then CCS at 100. Ideally a blood neck. Maybe a rapier till then? Lol, I'd have to get 100 DG first though.
  4. Honestly, I've come to the conclusion that the heart of the botting issue is asking WHY people bot - and the answer is very obvious. Rs is extremely, extremely grindy. I mean, I haven't seen one person on this forum who doesn't like the effects of bots, i.e. cheaper prayer and herblore. Imagine how bad it'd be to collect it ourselves - thus making it hypocritical for most people to actively dislike bots on general principle, for one thing... I could try to come up with examples, but really I'd expect most RS players to understand what I'm talking about. RC, livid farm, agility are the first things that come to my mind.
  5. Not to mention Corps area attacks would just rip Jad to shreds. Loving these papercrafts. I'd buy one if I like, saw one in a store IRL or something o_O
  6. The rule is that you need at least one DGS rank in it to verify. It does not have to be a 100% DGS floor. You do have to either be keying (for a keyer medal) or get beserker AND battlemage or sharpshooter (for a DPSer medal) to qualify for a medal, though. Does it count if you yourself are the rank? Like say I go with a regular member to 3bo or wherever and find 3 amazing people. Also, rank means wingman/keyer/admin or w/e highest rank is, right? The rank is there to verify the floor if we have any doubts so I'm not sure counting yourself as a rank would work. Up to grimy in the end and yeah it means any rank above the recruit rank. I've been told that floors with 2-3 3bo members do not count so yeah...dno. I think the medal floors should be 100% dgs-ers anyway. Sure you weren't getting trolled or something? If a guy can key a 15 minute large floor, what does it matter if he's part of DGS or not? Just need one rank to verify. Actually, even then, if a guy can key a 15 minute large floor with the 13% bonus room bonus... Probably be a bit different for the berserker title though.
  7. You know what I wanna know, who're the people BUYING like 25k IRL worth of RS GP a month? Lol. Also, I wish Tipit could make a forum or thread or something where they don't BANHAMMER people who say they botted/RWT so we can have a much more meaningful discussion about it. I mean, I understand it's against the rules and I understand why the mods do it, but still. We're having a discussion about something where you get censored if you admit having personal experience with it. Like highschoolers discussing sex in the 50s o_O
  8. Who cares about achievement? What if you just want your stats up for DG (skill doors or something) various other miningames, the max cape which botting doesn't actually stop you from getting... I said this before. If I could bot, with the only punishment being removal from highscores, I'd start botting. What if someone bots for a skillcape? Botter or not, they still get the cape XD
  9. I really do feel the same way. I've seen multiple RC capes and I was impressed at first. However, if you decide to craft nature runes - you can see that a few of these level 99 are bots. This is especially apparently if theres a GOP going on or a vex in front of the altar. Tons of bots just end up in front of the vex and stand around. I think Jagex should do a thing where if you get caught botting/banned - if you ever do return, your account cannot be on the high score (even if you do manage to get your stats back up to the orginal levels) This would make it easier especially when the head of a clan want to check your stats. No stats = botter, no entry into a clan. At the moment, there doesn't seem to be too many repercussions but hopefully, this will be amended. However, with that being said - I sometimes am actually very greatful to bots. Where else would I get such "cheap" herblore (the cost/exp ratio has gone down a bit), prayer, construction exp as well as tons of raw material like pure essences, ores, etc? I love this highscores thing. I don't give a rats ass about highscores. If the ONLY punishment for botting was removal from highscores, then I'd be botting RC, livid farm, agility.... lol. My God. Really? There's too ****ing lazy to grin and that makes them robbers? Really? Try training agility or Livid Farm. By the time you get 99 agility or all the spells, you'll be a lot more sympathetic to why people bot rofl. I absolutely love people who take the moral high ground against bots. It's human nature to develop tricks and tools to make life easier. 75% of RuneScape skilling is pretty much grinding. It's only wrong because 1. the whole sense of achievement thing - I got 99 mining without botting, this botter got 99 mining with botting, more exp, you can't tell us apart 2. because Jagex said so. Really, by this logic, hoping to win the lottery is unethical, because you're "cheating" your way through life. LOL. Oh, and for the record, some people who rob/steal actually put quite a lot of work into it XD As for people botting without fear, this is why: a large amount of the RS population bots now. So that's a lot of income if Jagex perm-bans them. At one point, I think Jagex decided to be more lenient to a person who maybe has just a first offense with botting - if they've been playing a few years sans bots, PERM BAN for botting could be seen as kinda harsh. But then attitude just causes more people to bot because of less fear of punishment. Fast forward to now. As best as I can tell, punishment for botting is often very light - temp ban, reset in the stat you were botting - which just encourages more botting. Jagex is now in a situation where, due to the large amount of botting, it's economically impractical for them to get rid of them - by get rid of them, I mean start perm-banning mains. Hence why people bot at, say, frost dragons. And because people are botting more and more, this encourages botting, specifically making better and better bots that are less good at being caught.
  10. @ Above post: Horrible? Also. I don't see how you can appreciate construction but not appreciate the 5x more work that went into Dungeoneering? Although it can be grindy, Dungeoneering is quite arguable the least grindy out of all of them because of how different the dungeons are. Also, absolutely every single solitary skill in the entirety of the entire game is a huge grind fest. Furthermore, if you knew or understood people with high dungeoneering.... many people start Dungeoneering for the rewards (rapier and frost dragons) and continue training it because they find it extremely fun. And please don't pull the "you don't need them" argument with summoning; otherwise, I suggest we remove every piece of equipment better then dragon. Oh, and speaking of dragons, get rid of claws. And anyways, if nothing else you can probably use a macaw familiar anywhere you can use a familiar for a bit of added profit. (So, like, if nothing else you can use a familiar to improve your profits pretty much everywhere except Barrows and the GE.) See: Your two favorites: Hunter and Construction I believe what you meant to say is: "It is always telling of whether a skill is a member's skill besides Fletching, Thieving or Agility (i.e. the member's skills that have been around for the longest) when it only requires level 30 to reach the high-score list." There aren't 2000000 people ranked in Runecrafting, by this logic Runecrafting is a terrible skill. Bahaha. You aren't helping your argument you know. lol Give me one example of a player who is excluded from dungeoneering? Anybody that's low CB? Wut. I've seen multiple level 3 skillers who have 99+ dungeoneering. It doesn't matter who you are, you can dungeoneer. Well that's because they're level 3s, and the pros who DG in F2P are 126s who take in level 3s so they don't get raped by the exp cap. If you aren't very high combat, or a near lvl 3 on an F2P world, getting a GOOD DG team is often difficult. Nothing prevents anyone from Dungeoneering but there is a lot that prevents people form dungeoneering with better and faster teams. You know, one thing about construction... you can't actually modify your house that much. You have a set design for how your rooms look, all you can do is get better versions of stuff, unless you like lower versions of stuff - but by setting a level cap on the different items, you essentially make one inferior and one better, more or less removing customization. Really, to truly customize your house, you'd probably have, say, 6 rooms used for functionality, a throne room, an extra garden with a dungeon entrance, and the rest of the house is a dungeon. Dungeoneering offers less then construction? Right, entering in a new armour set for all classes form lvl 1-99, a bunch of new monsters, randomized dungeons, a randomized look to rooms (more then construction can offer) new monsters, new bosses with cool mechanics... Summoning, which can be used to benefit almost all skills in the game... now, summoning isn't perfect as you can't use combat familiars in single combat, and there's just too many combat and not enough skill familiars imo, but it's still a really great skill which benefits most areas of the game.
  11. Just range the jungle demon with pro mage. 0 damage as long as you don't enter melee range. Plus the gnomes will do a lot of the work for you if your range sucks.
  12. They aren't as good with all the bots, but it's still pretty much THE best consistent money maker in the game. With farming on the side.
  13. Ah. Gotcha. Thanks for clarifying.
  14. I wish I could; not so much that I regret buying it, I'd just like 20m. And get like 10X what I paid for them. But seriously, at these prices I wouldn't get it. Ask yourself this: if you get the book of the law now, and the Zamorak Book goes down to say 1m, will you regret buying it? Personally, I filled up the Guthix and Saradomin books a long time ago just for... completionism I guess. That being said, aside from a sense of completionism, there's very little reason to fill up the books. Between void/defelctor, DG/Spirit shields for high end bossing or just X Bow/Hand Cannon, you don't really need the books for ranging.
  15. Nope, that about covers it. /Thread & lock Fixed. NOW /Thread % lock Or explain that comment, at the very least via PM.
  16. They had better go back and check both their math and statistical handling, then. I've noticed an effect on the exp due to non-killed (even if non-aggressive) foes. :geek: ~D. V. "Yeah, I know it sounds nuts..." Devnull I hope you're trying to be sarcastic or trolling. Riiiiiiiight, which explains why you get a negative level mod in dungeons where you only kill the Guardian Door monsters. If you want the max exp for a dungeon, you gotta kill every aggressive monster in it.
  17. Without consumers, nothing the producers, er, produce, gets consumed. It works both ways. Note the word both.
  18. Egg launcher rumours I kinda got, the theory was that in killing the runner with the egg launcher, you'd miss out on the points the runner gets for trapping it instead. But really, Dinos? The only reason I can think of for not killing Dinos is, well, it's a waste of time usually.
  19. Just throwing it out there, your siggy shows the old Jad, not the new one.
  20. Slayer is the best way to train slayer, but it's not the best way to get money...
  21. Edge is also superior because of the Varrock Task rewards.
  22. Pretty debateable on Bandos, I've heard that the CLS is marginally better the the Rapier for Bandos itself, although the Rapier comes in handy for the minions. It's fairly close though. As for slash vs stab, that honestly just depends on if you're using the Rapier or the CLS.
  23. Personally I'd buy whatever ones you can from the RC guild and then kill the creatures in the abyssal plane for the rest.
  24. Maul is only good at TDs when switching isn't perfect, because with slow switching that kinda negates the speed advantage of a fast weapon, especially considering the best range weapons there are also two-handed. Depending on how you kill, you could have (worse case scenario) three items and two prayers to switch (Only if the TD switches attack styles too.) With perfect switching, Rapier is more DPS. I also know some people who use steel titan like maul, because that's apparently another click. Then again, I've also heard Jagex nerfed steel titans so they don't work...
  25. The name article makes me want to rant about immature 12 year olds who pick a new immature username every month, and how you should lose name changing abilities after one offense for a year and should only be able to change names once every like months Ohwait, just did rant. /endrant The clan part is definitely true about RS; but really, if it wasn't for other people, how many people would grind as much? I know on single player games that, for maybe some pieces of final achievement, require a similar grinding to RS, I don't do that. No motivation. But in a multiplayer game there is. I think another part is the more time one has put into RS, the less willing you are to let go. /ramble
