  1. Really? I made 2k and have the supps for 1k more o_O Guess I'll be good for a while lol.
  2. Pretty much this. I use them if I get stuck or (more often) want to find secrets. For instance, I've used the Dragon Age wiki quite a bit, often looking at quest rewards actually. Because the main quests usually have two ways they can end, I like to check out the two ways.
  3. http://forum.tip.it/topic/289426-beginners-flip-merching-guide/ That got me into merching today. I started with a 36m cash pile and should get it to 37m after this next flip. Idk how much exactly I made 'cause I didn't pay attention to 36 point whatever.
  4. AGS

Sir_Squab replied to Unhesitating's topic in Help and Advice
Claws spec is more powerful and dangerous then AGS spec. The main reason AGS is considered good for pk'ing is your unlikely to lose it when you die. Lose with claws, your almost guaranteed to lose them.
  5. Finally, a simple explanation on how to flip stuff. Really got tired of all the people saying "flip it's good money" when I had absolutely no [bleep]ing idea whatsoever how to.
  6. AGS

Sir_Squab replied to Unhesitating's topic in Help and Advice
uh..? Original topic was about AGS remember. It's only good for PK'ng I think. @ Laura - I think overloads are your problem, with how they lower hp, idk. You DID say you were using overloads right?
  7. Why is RC not on that list?
  8. Personally, I think minigames are fine. Some rewards from minigames you can't get without. Trading with shops is a must, you can't really train summoning or get a lot of house upgrades without. Real iffy thing is boss monsters. If you get 138 DIY, you could solo every boss except Nex/Corp. I think it's a tad unfair to have a DIYer not be able to get those items but I can't think of a good solution. Actually, Corp is possible now isn't it o.O I'd say DIY is just no trade/GE. I guess FFA/LS bossing unsolo-able bosses. Corp and Nex (although Corp is do-able, I think it still qualifies.) What about DG? Are we doing solo meds to 120?
  9. I don't. You'd actually have to look at your IP every time you log on. I mean, if we had different colours or something if it was different lol... I can understand that some people would notice that sort of thing, but the average person won't. Pretty much this. I find it interesting that because you think you don't go to bad sites, you think you don't need good internet security, as you disagreed with the person who suggested you should upgrade it. Secondly, you should have a bank pin. I've never benn hacked, but I had one since the day they came out. Also, the person dropping chaotics and leaving mean messages suggests it's not a random hacker; a random hacker would just steal your stuff, maaaaaaybe drop your chaotics, then move on, not waste time with mean messages. I'd think.
  10. Yeah, I managed to get 43 prayer from the bone yard. Also, no eating/combat? Really? What stops you? 'o.O
  11. Um, I'm not really excited about Stellar Dawn either way, although I'll gladly try it when it or the beta comes out.... Also, lol @ the last part of your post. Your ESL (English as a Second Language.) Not trying to be offensive, it's just after reading like half of your post, I thought "this kid's first language better not be english because that's the only excuse for these mistakes"
  12. When the new cannon look makes it take up twice as much space as it did before, I care a lot about the looks, and have a reason to bloody hate it. This isn't the dragon scimitar where people complain about jagex changing the looks, with people both for and against the change; by changing the size of the cannon, you change the mechanics of how they are used.
  13. Bwahahahaha! I support. *kills amitoz* 99 more to go....
  14. Wait, what? Chaotics hits 1/4 damage or Corp? Corp would be the only real reason to implement a chaotic spear tbh. If not then Assuming that the chaotic spear would be whip-speed and had no damage reduction against corp at all, it'd be cool. Otherwise, no. Too lazy for quotes Obt >_>
  15. This is why the damned celestial staff should give unlimited fire runes. Actually, I'd like unlimited elemental runes o_O
  16. Without any context, they'll see: "Give me your password and I'll scam you!" I have actually seen worse scam attempts done seriously, sad as that may be. If this is all they see in the report it's enough for them to action. If I was a Jagex employee I'd probably have done the same thing, just to be safe. Not actioning it means that I may have just let a password scammer go, and that isn't worth the risk. If we were to fear scammers like that, then Jagex should never have incorporated a talking head that tells you to take all your items to the Abyss. We should remove that too, just to be safe. The abyssal demon isn't trying to take anything from you though. Ok, am I the only person who thinks it isn't that big of a deal either way? Yeah, it'd be nice if Jagex could detect sarcasm. It's semi-obvious because of how blatant it is. On the other hand, when you get banned because you explicitly asked someone to tel you what their password is, you can't blame the mod for hitting the report button. Anyways, the big brother scenario is unfeasible, because it's impossible to have the man-power to watch over everybody (although with today's technology you could monitor all of what a lot of people do O_O) You know, the reports probably are looked at by people, not an algorithm; bored people, who are annoyed because they're spending several hours looking at everything that got reported for abuse. Tell me, how much of a sense of humour would you have after spending a few hours doing that? At the end of the day, you shouldn't have said that, you shouldn't have gotten reported, you shouldn't have gotten muted, and Jagex doesn't have a big brother super computer program with A.I. smart enough to read through every single line of writing typed by someone on RS and ban them accordingly. Jagex could actually keep track of everything anyone said on RS, but that'd require a lot of memory in order to hold that, and it'd be impossible to effective search through that database in order to find every single thing you could ban someone for. haha lol i hate people like that its pathetic How is it pathetic? The fact that he thinks his girlfriend has such delicate sensibilities that he must report, mute and show off his special abilities/privilege of muting upon report in order to protect her? Several ways I can spin that above sentence, none of them positive. The 'stickler' would be whatever Jagex employee muted you, not me. These two posts were consecutive. Figures Amitoz would bring a thread from september back from the graveyard. I like the novel, that's all. Riiiiiiiiiiiight, so you bump a thread that's 6 months old because of that. Lol. Have a cookie.
  17. Your supposed to use extremes to make your money back by MH'ing for the money with extremes. But your screwing yourself over if you have no gear for the MH'ing. Figure out what you need to MH with first, then check what you'd get if you sold your bank minus the MH gear.
  18. I am well aware of that, I was merely correcting him. Just because it isn't a great money maker doesn't mean you can't make money that way. Runecrafting and Fishing, for instance, can still make money eventually - it'll just take more time. Just going 90 to 93 fishing casually while watching videos and doing homework has earned me ~8M. I made a fair bundle training slayer so far too, and will probably make more on my way to finish off 99. The point is, someone who likes fishing but hates smithing can eventually make his way to a full Virtus set just by doing something he likes. Same for RC. Same for any number of other methods that make money, be it small amounts or large amounts - flax picking, collecting herblore seconds, killing Chaos druids for herbs, hunting dragons, etc. However, someone who hates herblore will never be able to get Extreme potions unless he sucks it up and just does Herblore. Back when Amulets of Fury were released, people with high crafting could profit. I would much rather skills be useful for their tradeable products and money earning potential, than encumber combat with a dozen skill requirements for untradeable overpowered items. I agree with you. However, there's a problem. There is a mentality in RS that exp > gp. Unless you make something high level that gives a small amount of exp, it won't be very profitable (in the case of gathering skills) or loses money (in the case of production skills.) And Jagex thinks that higher level things give more exp, which makes sense. However, because of those two facts, you can't really make a skill trainable FOR a profitable, tradeable product. The only profitable production skill is RS, which has like under 70k max exp/hour. This is a rough estimate for someone with like 99 RC at zmi paying the max amount of attention possible in the absolutely most efficient way possible. And it's probably a little high. (Also ignoring bonus exp weekend exp potential.) And if you bring up tiaras, I'd like to point out those lose money. Pretty sure combination runes do too. Thus, the only realistic way in the current RS economy/mentality to make it useful to train skills is to give them untradeable rewards. Or doing something like making untradeable pots tradeable, but giving 1/10 the exp, and like 50 exp per overload. Or somehow change the mentality of RS from desiring leveling for the sake of leveling, which is half the reason high exp production skills lose money. And although you are technically correct about many skills being money makers (even then, you can't effectively train production skills whilst making money) they aren't a realistic, feasible option for some of the more high-end expensive products in the game.
  19. Dude. Jack of all trades ring for mage. Dunno exactly how it'd work, but the mage ones aren't mutally exclusive. Actually, make the jack of all trades melee one add the defensive one too. You need controlled and a shield to pull it off, or a spear. Finally, mage. As much as I'd like to use all the mage classes at once, that's a bit unrealistic and over-powered; I suggest giving the celestial catalyctic staff give free elemental runes. At least fire runes. Preferably have a chance of saving runes too. Actually, an elemental staff would be awesome because you could also have natures with you, giving you alching and binding if you make some natures. I like the idea, although I get grimy to fine-tune the numbers for ranged boost lol; I like the idea of melee weapons working differently. Even then, I think there's too many to use effectively; maybe concentrate on a few good ones. So yeah, for mage the only thing I'd add is giving the celestial catalyctic staff free elemental runes. Maybe making an elemental staff at 50 and an empowered elemental staff at 99. Elemental staff has no mage damage bonus, empowered elemental has 10% bonus. Celestial elemental staff? Knock off the mage bonus by 5-10% but free elemental runes. I'd use it. Hnn. Random idea for melee, no idea if it's implementable or not. What if how you used the melee weapons was different? Remove some melee weapons but make their use more varied. Longsword can be weilded as a longsword or used two handed as a 2h. Rapier/dagger type weapon, poisonable. Spear/maul, with either an att req or str req depending on how you want to wield it. Battleaxe. Dunno, just a random thought. The main idea I'd want is elemental staffs. At least 30RC to equip the elemental staffs. And of course, fix range so it's useable with pro teams. I think that's the most realistic to ask for, as all Jagex would have to do is change the stats on bows, and a bit of work for the (hopefully) 3 new elemental staffs.
  20. First, I'm forced to agree with your stance - most in-game bot breaking ideas aren't really worth their weight in gold. Unfortunately, we as players only have the one avenue from which to approach the botting problem. A cultural shift - such as getting players to abhor botting - is one that may exist, but would take a lot more work to be successful at dramatically removing botters than making major adjustments in-game. Second, quarantining any of the troublemakers off onto their own server calls attention to them, and gives them essentially what they want - a place where their bots can level to their heart's content, as well as be absolutely rich. So what if it doesn't count in the real game? Self-satisfaction and instant gratification could be seen as the M.O. for most people that are willing to cheat. +1 I challenge the both of you to prove the following: - Adjustment of any resource by a JMod can reliably break *every* possible bot with a minimal disruption to normal players, everywhere. This also implies that a JMod doesn't need to be present at every location at every point in time. - Updates to the game engine for this new JMod weapon would be proven cost effective and relatively painless to implement, as well as deliver flawless results every time. - There would be relatively few staff required to fill this task; even though Jagex has 500+ employees doesn't mean that they're not all doing something. Prove the above 3 to me, at least, or it seems like you've foolishly trapped yourself in a "perfect" solution to eliminate bots. Now I'm not trying to start an e-argument, since that's about as productive as a cram student at a frat party. But I want you to defend your position with reasons why it'd work. Good, sound reasons. Reasons that not only make economical sense, but programming sense. Just keep in mind, if you can't defend it, then there's no sense in cramming it down anyone's throat, or flaming anyone for disagreeing with it. I wish you both good luck! This is where I was kinda going with a lot of my posts. I don't think the above idea is possible. I really don't.
  21. Sadly yes, but I'm aware of this. I was not aware of the combined drop rate of visages and DFH to be under double the drop rate of claws, however. A rough estimate guestimate puts the combined rate of DFH and visage drop at 5 times the rarity of a claw drop.
  22. Nex

Yes, hence its not a bug. It's a flaw in the mechanics, although you could argue that you healed at the same time your hp hit 0 :-) so you did not die :-) What's the difference between an exploitable flaw in a mechanic and a bug, exactly?
  23. Pretty sure the answer to the last question is No.
  24. Would be nice.
