  1. jagex sucks at metagaming :P exactly, they thought (just like every other update), that they would actually be used to great extent. Only a few times have they been right (like herblore habitat) Um, except for the farming potions, how particularly useful are the rest? Particularly, say, the wc/mining potion. /Offtopic.
  2. Um, yeah, as they said, over time your profits will average out. What you call the "margin of error" is, as pointed out, better known as standard deviation. Over a large enough sample size, or period of time, the effect of that becomes minimal and next to non-existent. That being said, if you aren't using jujus I could easily see why you'd do avantoes. I'd rather take the 8% loss while farming then deal with losing snapdragon patches, despite the fact that in the long run, snaps WILL gain more profit, assuming supernoobs calculations are right. Without jujus. On the other hand, I've been farming snapdragons for the past little while WITH jujus. Oh and half the posts here, I always think the person is starting off with a trolling, sarcastic remark of "lolwut" then it's like....right, the OP's naaaamee...
  3. Um, to have t11 versions of all equipment I guess? I agree, most of the t11 stuff will virtually never get bound. Weapon/plate, possibles legs will, that's it. Although if we ever got lots of binds, you might just end up seeing full sets. Like if binds existed every 25 levels. At 120, that's a full bind of all armour and a weapon. And you never know, always possible some weird skiller will bind a t11 hatchet/pickaxe lol. I think the reason it was made was for some element of completion. So that the complete set of every item exists all the way from t1 to t11.
  4. Any statues is a problem. There's no reason to make monsters drop 5m in cash when you could just think of something else for them to drop without causing inflation. I don't trust Jagex's ability to assess a problem with the economy at all. You can hope >.< But yeah, there's no need for monsters to drop 5m cash. I'm hoping they really nerf the cash rate or whatever of them, or that they get a new use, replacing getting pure cash with something not-involving pure cash. Hoping anyways =/
  5. Depends on the limit. 100k, not gonna happen. Hope the limit is like 1mil, but I see it staying where it is now, at best quardrupling or something =/ Here's for hoping I'm wrong.
  6. Lol. I remember one calling me a kid for refusing to key in dungeon and then like 5 minute later, we start talking about age and then he says that he's 12 years old. Couldn't stop laughing. Lol at both of these. If I was called kid, and then called the other dude father, I'd totally start on some random Star Wars thing. "Ok Father." "Wait, what? Your my my father? *searches feelings*" "What!? I know it to be true! Nooooooooooooooooooo!" "*jumps off a bridge like thing through a void like thingy onto a spaceship*" noob: yes i am a noob, so are you. everyone is a noob in one way or another. kid (my vote): for someone to say this to me is only anoying becouse its not an insult. if your going to ofend me, do it right. nerd: this is what i would say. im just happy with the fact that i am superior to anyone who has to thorw garbage at me for any efect... and still fails. :) although... there are 2 things that annoy me... "g@y" and "bad spelling" its not that i have anything againt same gender atraction (even have a few good friends like that) but why do people use it to insult me? the only thing that i hate about that is when people use it to insult people... its not an insult! as for my horrible spelling, sorry, that does not mean im some 10 year old, or that i am "mentaly delayed", its just means i have bad spelling. i cant help it, its the same as trying to change your self so you walk backwars everywhere. no real need and very hard. Um, yes, there IS a need to learn to spell good. To a certain extent. And Yes I'm aware that I probably made a grammatical error there. That being said, there's bad spelling and there's.....leetpseak, I guess. I can't really define what the "bad spelling that needs to be fixed is," but I'd consider you past that mark. Two things: One, as the poster below you pointed out, dude is fairly universal. I've met some people who've admitted to calling their mom dude, and I don't find that odd. Two: I just found out your a girl. WHAT!@?!? Lol. Actually. Most epic way to beat a faceplam-er: ninja skills. As they move hand towards face, or vice-versa, smack their hand towards face. Noob. Get the str level to LIFT those dragon weapons kid. umadbro nerd? Gosh, I can really sympathize with all those people using those insults. It's mildly entertaining. P.S. Just so no one gets confused, I AM trying to use all those remarks sarcastically. Random thought: Guy calls you kid. "Yeah, I'm 13." "OMG! STALKER! *reported for asking personal details*" >_> And finally.... N00bish nerdy kids here. Wat, taht make uguysmadbro?
  7. Even without juju potions?
  8. Isn't, that, you know, for his "special" slayer assignment, which, you know, consists of you going down the trap hole IF he assigns you the special task to kill a bunch of low level monsters? And yeah, I'm quite sad about the statuette thing. Either they turn all existing ones into cash and be done with it, or.... this one we can't rule out yet.... You know how we trade in statuettes, if I'm not mistaken? What if Jagex nerfed the ability to turn them in, made them useful in some non-enterGPintoEconomy sort of way? And of course, they'd have to nerf the alch values along with it. Oh, and I totally saw the "PVP armour from Revs" coming. Disappointed about statuettes. With any luck though, the statuettes will be rarer then sigils and 3a and remain untradeable.
  9. You know, except for Nex drops, Corp drops, obscenely rare TT rewards and just rare items, you can get almost everything from the GE anyways. Those items are so expensive anyways that it really won't matter to most players. I also find it amusing how people think items will change price suddenly. AMG, PEOPLE CAN SELL WHIPS FOR 10M!@!@!@ Amg. I can try buying a whip for 500k. That doesn't mean whips will go down to 500k either.
  10. The update hasn't been released yet, so how can you say it's already killed generosity? Speaking as someone who actually played before the Dec 07 updates, I can tell you that the game is going to go back to a watered down version of how it used to be. Back in the old days, a good Samaritan might still rush up and try to grab as much of your stuff as possible to hold for you. Now, all that Samaritan has to do is bless your grave. There isn't a thought of "well, I'd like to save this guy's armor, but I don't have enough backpack space. In fact, being a Good Samaritan will be easier than it was pre trade restrictions, because it is much more hands off. Be a good guy, bless or repair someone's grave, and they even get a direct note on their screen telling them who to thank. The opposite of what people are anticipating will happen, the number of decent acts will be much higher than it was before the trade restrictions because doing a kind act will be so much easier. In fact, forget doing it for the deceased. I can see people blessing graves for the sake of trolling the people waiting for it to crumble, I know I'll be among those trolls. I quite like this post. No matter what, it'll be better then pre-08. I could honestly see myself blessing people lurking around graves to be a troll; afterall, if there's say 5 people, I might not get anything good anyways. Plus, unless the guy drops an item worth like 500k/1m+, I might just bless to be nice; 500k/1m is where my greed threshhold exceeds my generosity threshold, lol. I certainly won't be very worried about this. I don't boss much, except maybe TDs; the couple times I died there I never got blessed anyways, I think... Plus you can easily get back there before the grave expires. The first time I died there I didn't, but that's because I had to run to the GE, and try and buy stuff to make a new lantern. I still made it in time to see my grave disappear. To above poster: very generous of you. Sadly, I don't see many people do that. If I found a p hat, I'd sell it >.<
  11. *blinks* what quest, exactly, is guthans useful on? 'o.O
  12. I personally have heard that, between her soul split, barrage-like attacks including blood barrage, larder teams fail there. And I can personally testify that you don't need overloads to get the KC. I don't remember my exact setup, something like nomads cape, bss, veracs helm/skirt, karils top, fury, d boots protected me from everything but the ancient mages. When using a super def potion. Note however that I do not have 99 def, I'm pretty sure they didn't attack me when my def was boosted to only 99. I more or less agree with above poster, it looks like a good guide, but some parts could use more explanation on why. Also, most boss guides I see not only show the best possible gear, but welfare alternatives. I realize that with Nex, welfare alternatives will be less used/desired, but are there any? Not everyone has a spectral spirit shield for instance.
  13. Yeah, I'd rather have a quote before worrying about this. If it's true though, I'm going to start wearing a rol to DKs again. I'd rather worry about it and find out it's NOT true, then NOT worry about it and find out it IS true. Looking for quote...looking for quote... Bam. 14. Pretty sure they said your items would appear on the ground after the gravestone disappeared.
  15. K, for one thing, people are NOT getting 1m+ very torstol run. They CAN get 1m+ every torstol run, but that isn't the average. Also, you completely FAILED to mention your hunter level. At 75 hunter, with lower herb/farm then you, and equivalent-ish construction (i.e. I can't make any habitats with my level you can't make with yours) I got a decent amount of them. There's a guide in the, I think General Guides section that's pretty good. Link: http://forum.tip.it/topic/281681-herblore-habitat/
  16. I'm not sure what I'd do. Personally, pre-gravestones, I considered looting someones stuff if they died a natural part of the game. I'd always loot if I could. And, quite frankly, if someone looted my stuff, that was part of the game too. If I died, ran back to where I died, and found the guy who looted all my stuff... if that person said "sucks to be you, but that's life" I'd agree with him. Honestly, if it was a choice between blessing his grave or a chance at the claws he dropped, I'll take the claws. That being said, there are very, very few places in the game you can't get back to within 6 minutes. Except the GW bosses of course - and at GW I'm SURE I wouldn't bless, seeing as there's a good chance the person lost something expensive for me to loot. I'm also not sure what I'd do if there was a group of vultures. Might bless just to annoy them, especially since if there's a large group, my chance of a substantial reward is fairly low. Who knows, I might just feel generous as well. It depends on if I know what the person died with too; if I thought the person was a newbie (compared to me, newb is highly subjective) or didn't lose a significant amount of money from MY perspective, I might bless.
  17. Most people I see here say claws are an epic spec weapon that is totally worth it once you can use it with extremes and turmoil. And possible overloads. Personally, I don't like claws much. I've owned them, but I can't say I've ever really used them for much; TD drop a few times that I've never kept for 24 hours.
  18. Been years since I did this quest, is it possible you just had the pot left though? >_>
  19. I could be wrong, but I thought we were talking about the DG item reward one that costs tokens, seeing as in DG when you die, how shall I put it....well, you don't lose items, dying doesn't affect your inventory or equipped items in DG anyways last time I checked. So I wouldn't expect this question to be about the in-Dungeon item.
  20. Come to think of it though, ourg bones ARE some kind of ogre, if that's a sub-type or whatever. If ourg bones are found at a graveyard that ogres use, that suggests that ourgs are somehow related to ogres. And that guy is definitely related to the Icyenes somehow.
  21. Off-topic but not really.... if I came across as an arrogant jerk, I'm sorry. I have a bad habit of doing that when I feel "right" about something >_<
  22. Dude, if 10 seconds is honestly an issue for you, you seriously have a problem. Let's see - movie, birthday, work, sleep - all things you can, you know, plan around. You should kind of see those things coming. Or, you know, have a teleport on you. Heck, tele to house and you can just safely close your browser. Now, if your married, and say your wife is pregnant and her water breaks, ok, drop runescape NOW and leave NOW. If you have a kid, around your house, and you hear several thumps followed by an ear-piercing scream that cracks the window, yeah, leave rs NOW. But really, there are very, very few things in RS that you can't, you know, just plan around. Even fight caves, with the log out feature - combine that with a bit of planning and you should be ok. I find it funny that the only possible exception to this, DG, you failed to mention. But even then, you can 1) just plan around DG and 2) if you need to suddenly quit in DG, all you've lost is whatever time so far you've put into the DG. I could go on, but I'd just go on repeating myself over and over while trying to comprehend how it could actually be a problem; more importantly, how it could be a real problem whose fault isn't your own. I mean, I've probably been late for things 'cause I was on RS, I've stayed up later then I should have 'cause of RS, but that's because of how I ended up choosing to spend my time, not because AMG THIS MONSTER IS ATTACKING ME SO I CAN'T STOP PLAYING RS FOR THE NEXT HOUR. Yeahhhhh.
  23. The runes are quite epic. Now, make me 1k bloods for 300k or 400k! Actually, if you could sell each rune for that much....>_< Seriously though, I gotta try the dragon.
  24. Isn't there a no forfeit option?
  25. No you can't. C bow is roughly equivalent to a magic short bow or magic long bow with rune arrows. Zartyre bow is roughly equivalent to the chaotic crossbow with rune bolts, albeit two handed and possible slower. Frankly though, wait till the price goes down :P Like, few months.
