    Pures

People wouldn't continue to make pures if they weren't effective. Yes, they need food at chaos druids, but.... They choose to balance their attack and defensive powers so that they can do MORE damage in a SINGLE fight, whereas people with more defense (assuming the same combat level) are focused on taking LESS damage over the course of MULTIPLE fights. Hence why, with some defense, you don't need food at chaos druids. As for, say, getting killed whilst rune mining in the wilde... that is intentional. It's part of the game. If getting PK'ed while mining rune in the wilde wasn't part of the game, the rune ore would be in the mining guild. Personally, the thing I love the most about pures is the countless, meaningless arguments they have with each other. Meaningless, because pure will often argue about who's better in combat, or who has the better main, but it seems like it's rare that they both head to the dual arena or pull out their mains. Frankly though, I've reached the combat level where pures aren't my level anymore. If something gets to level 127, it probably isn't a pure >.<
  2. I don't think most of us were gullible to fall for the seers ring this in the first place. I think I read about the seers ring upgrade somewhere on a now-deleted topic by a (probably) now deleted user... I thought, oh, wouldn't it be nice if it's true. Pity it's not. Magic isn't that underpowered if you use it right, although it DOES lack k0 potential. Then again, max barrage damage is around 500. So. Frankly, I'll buy that your whoever you say you are, mainly because your coming in here saying the BS isn't true. I somewhat doubt that a troll would come here and do that lol.
  3. Except, barraging rock lobsters (obviously) doesn't get mage exp. Having 99 magic largely due to bursting rock lobsters, I'm (as of reading this thread) thinking of chinning nechs. Afterall, my ranged is only 85.
  4. Either magic will be the most effective way to kill a boss, in which case I have already have ahrims, sol, arcane necklace and recently got shield (no, not because of Nex) in which case, I'm fairly well set. If not, then damn. I'm not going out of my way to prepare for it - I think really, the only people who are trying to prepare for it are (or are near being) 138s with overloads and chaotics. I really hope they don't make something that can just get WTFPWNT by a large mass of people with overloads, claws, steel titans, etc. Something like a DG boss, limit the amount of people there, instance it, make it useful to have all three sides in the combat triangle there...
  5. No, this is the worst cupdate ever: I mean, seriously, caramel? Blech. I agree. Much worse then the other one anyhow.
  6. Tbh, if I could sell it for 500b or 1tril, I would >.< I'd want like...maxed amount of an item or item(s) that are valued at about the alch price, so they can't really crash much. Some rune item.
  7. Whip/ee or eee is better Yeah, these are just semantics and there's basically no point in arguing past that point. I already admitted they are partially useful for some people at TD's. Still, I am saying they are "useless" to show exactly how limited these scenarios are. GS have like one main reasonable use, and that's about it. Saying that they're useful gives other people the impression that a GS is a reasonable purchase for a noob, which it is not. K, I agree that godswords are mostly useless, if the anti-GS people agree that GS can be useful for low levels at bosses. That being said, low levels typically can't do bosses, if for no other reason there are too many high levels there to begin with. And a few other niche uses, AGS for pk'ing, BGS for corp, ZGS.... some people like the spec in safe PVP and it is useful at Zammy, although another poster said that a damaging spec such as d claws is more useful. Frankly, I'm inclined to agree mainly with the anti-GS crowd, but there are a few uses for it. I also think comparing to chaotics is dumb in a sense; chaotics are obviously better, but much less accessible to the average player. Also, GS hits high. That in itself is attractive in itself, as some people just like hitting high. Might be less DPS, but some noobs just like seeing high hits lol.
  8. Honestly, you diet seems fine. You don't actually need fancy stuff to exercise with - pushups, situps, and the plank work well. Google plank exercise for help on that one. Um, try to get your parents to buy lots of salad and eat some every meal? At least supper, maybe breakfast, see if they can get less sugary cereal? Honestly though, from your diet is seems like all your really lacking to get rid of whatever flab you think you have is exercise.
  9. Have you ever actually thought about idea, that someone doesn't flip? I've read quite a few of your H&A responds, and they're always the same: flip. Just a thought. :???: Thank you. I've actually thought this a lot. I have no idea how to flip. And for whatever reason, I don't have any desire to just go the the GE and look at graphs and try and flip stuff.
  10. What the hell? inb4 the ban/lock/delete
  11. I lol'ed. Some things never change. Yeah lol. Personally I liked the part when the 2nd server was introduced, and they made the decision to have all characters available on all servers. I think server-specific characters suck; meet a friend, oh we play the same game - damn, we play on different servers. You didn't know them, but they knew you :ohnoes:
  12. I'd say it's mainly the trust issues. Pay before, oh, naw we're not DG'ing with you. Pay after, boot after boss. Plus, pro DG'ers tend to be overall fairly wealthy players to begin with, so you'd have to pay a lot of money for it to be worth it to them. Some will try it, but I can't see it becoming big.
  13. I think it'd be stupid for him to try at that level tbh. Although it is worth getting, a good run gets me 60+ herbs.
  14. This. Not the fastest exp in the game, but it's up there and the charms make it worth it.
  15. Clock Tower. Yeah. Pretty sure that was the last quest I did before my questcape, no joke. Also, ratcatchers gives you a wily cat. I like wily cats. Plus they're useful for stewing. Can't remember those two vamp quests, but I liked em. Just looked at the rewards, the exp is pretty bad tbh... Still, the last one unlocks bloods.... like someone said, it's worth doing all quests because eventually a quest will come around needing those as a requirement and you don't want to find out you have 20 other quests to do >.>
  16. I love Runescape kids. I'm glad I don't have to go to RSOF anymore to laugh at them. +1 +2 That is the sexiest thing I have ever seen on Runescape. I want a summon pure now o_o
  17. Isn't ZGS still useful at Zammy GW for the spec? But frankly yeah, for high level players they're obsolete. Interesting idea about the new boss... however, I know with corp if you have more money to spend it's recommended that you use statius warhammer. Incidentally, I think there's a small possibility that weapon and the other PVP weapons and armour will stop being degradeable. At least the armour; think about it, this new armour is supposed to surpass pretty much every other defensive item in the game, right? Including PVP. So, gear that degrades in an hour vs.... depends on the catch on the new boss armour tbh. Probably a catch of some sort, positive there'll be one for the bow. Woops, sorry for the random tangent there. Yes, it is possible the BGS will rise in price due to the new boss, but I doubt it'll be effective. Maybe the boss will restore it's defense, in say switching from different modes if it has any, or maybe damaging it won't be much of an issue when your actually in a position to damage it; rather, the boss mechanics will play a larger defensive role.
  18. They're being relocated though aren't they? along with revenants and etc. i mean i don't tihnk it's likely but for all we know. the new source of PVP statuettes could be a bigger source than BH and PVP worlds. Um, we don't technically know that, no, but I'm pretty sure with the re-introduction of the old wilde, the statuettes will be gone. Or, random thought, Jagex said they weren't removing stuff from the game, but the statues are only worth whatever Mandrith pays for them, right? I'm not sure about alching them, but what if Jagex just changed what they trade in for? Or make them for something different entirely? Frankly, I really really doubt that statuettes that can be traded in for 5m cash for the top one will remain in the game.
  19. Actually, Godswords can be useful to lower levels, as when your attacking stuff with high defense, the higher accuracy and strength bonus makes it more useful then a whip. But yeah, godswords really aren't that useful, and are definitely NOT the preferred weapon of choice for high levels.
  20. I've heard some people say they expect weapons/armour to go up when the wilde returns, but the long-term effect is that they will drop. As mentioned earlier, with the current system, items exit the game. With the new system, items change hand most of the time - the more valuable the item, the more it changes hands. Not to mention the current statuette system PUTS items into the game. The overall effect of this will have pretty much every piece of high end gear crash over the long term. Tbh, if a person was quitting now, they're best bet would be to liquidate all their expensive stuff, and buy it back when they return, probably resulting in a profit.
  21. Is it even worth it WITH 99 defence/turm/extreme + unicorn? lol Frankly, I think the OPs best bet would be fire bolt, chaos gaunlets (a MUST) SoL if he has one, followed by fire/air staff (whatever one saves him more) wearing mystic, d fire shield, d fire potions. Or just cancel/burthrope it. He should at least try mage first imo >.>
  22. If you've done enough of her tasks, you'll have points you can spend to cancel a tasks, under the reward section. By the way, your killing them wrong. The best way to kill them is either range/mage with the anti-dragon fire shield (of course) and the anti-fire potion. Or melee them with pro melee on, piety if you have it, super sets, and again the anti-fire potion.
  23. I can't say I've experienced much lag. Only time I can think of recently, I was at TD's with a claw drop in my inventory, game froze right as I tried to pick up another (non-claw) drop. Thankfully, it seemed to have frozen right BEFORE I tried to pick up the drop, so I didn't enter getWTFPWNT by multiple TD zone. Incidentally, I'm Canadian, and that TD trip is one of the few times I'm not on a Canadian server >.>
  24. Blah. Start slayer now. Try to do a lot of quests. And yeah, lost city for the dragon longsword is a great quest for new members.
