  1. Thanks for the tip about the necklace! I think I remember hearing stuff like that before about magic and damage boosters. Now I don't have to wait! :) So, about 4k-5k casts too. Thanks! I've done some bursting there as well (Note to self: get off curses....) but I did it more for charms then exp - but I still got a lot of exp! :)
  2. Well, I already know how I'm getting 99 magic. Ice Barrage at rock lobsters with a staff of light and battle robes. My question: 1. I wonder if it'd be worth getting the arcane stream necklace first? I'm only level 40 dungeoneering, it's kind of a long way away, but I WILL get that item, sooner or later. 2. How many runes/casts would I need? (Estimated.)
  3. Two things wrong with that picture: No summoning familiars allowed at all in barrows. You can only use familiars in multi-combat areas. Barrows ain't multi. Also, a problem (I think, I wouldn't know) with summon pures is that familiars raise your levels. That could muck things up in the long term. Possibly.
  4. If you have a fury, and won't lose it if you die, take one. Also, you'll probably want to use titans.

    Barrows

Called luck. All you can do is kill all the brothers and hope for the best.
  6. Because 99 is hard enough as it is, and because if the max level was increased to 120, that would defeat the purpose of a 99? The point of having 99 in a skill, is you can do everything that skill offers. Or do it the best, such as mining the fastest, hitting the highest hits, etc. The point of a 99 isn't that you have level 99, it's that you have the highest possible level.
  7. They are selling a product, you can't blame them for being a bit secretive. Think about this from their point of view. There isn't much they can divulge, nothing that will effect our game play anyways. Keeping that in mind it was an interesting read. The best part is the gesture, has there ever even been an Jagex interview in the Tip.It Times before? Here's the big problem about Jagex telling us their plains. An example, they had a plan involving dungeoneering being ruled or w/e by the Tzhaar, with a rival underground race. They eventually scrapped this idea. Imagine how the community would have reacted if they told us the Tzhaar idea THEN scrapped it. Yeah. Also, I really bloody hope they don't make any of the old skills have a 120 max. Oh, and off-topic, pretty sure wilderness tag eventually turned into the firemaking beacon thing. This is yet another example of why Jagex is cautious about telling us of future updates. Wait, someone beat me to it >.>
  8. Maybe if you can make 1m+ an hour reliably, not all people can. Also, dragons are still a good method. Blues/blacks. Good money from hides bones.
  9. I just go there every saturday, get 100% favour and put 1.5m in there.
  10. I couldn't say on skeletal wyverns, but from my experience with a unicorn, I can't think of anything (except maybe the occasional boss) that you'd need food and a unicorn for. I'd take 1 or 2 sharks/taters just in case and two super sets if I were you. But don't blame me if this doesn't work >.> I've had at most one wyvern task with a unicorn and I ranged them.
  11. WIsh I thought of that. Gatestone in front of a lodestone. Genius :)
  12. Problem about magic on most high level monsters: part of your magic defense is based on your magic level. And your defense level. (This is why slayer dart works so well on Karil.) Most bosses, especially bosses like TD's that use magic offensively, probably have a fairly high magic level and therefore fairly high magic defense. Although I haven't actually tried it there.
  13. I do know that, ever since that Avatar picture thing came out, most rares started skyrocketing.
  14. That sounds way too "efficient" for the average person.
  15. So. I've decided Stomp is the stupidest boss ever. Mainly because of the stupid debris, which blocks the path to the lodestone charge thinger half the time. I've already decided that I will bring him down to low HP once, to get the lodestones, bring him down low again and activate the crystals. If only the debris wouldn't be in the way 3/4 of the time! Stupid, stupid boss. Which leads me to my question. Is there anyway to get rid of the debris besides swearing to yourself while you wait and curse yourself for wasting a lodestone? (Or is it crystal.) Doesn't help that I die after leaving once and fishing all the damn food I can. Oh, but let's not make a Stomp dungeon where you can explore all the rooms.... Well this is only my second time fighting him, but still >.> Anyhoo, yeah, anyway to manually remove the debris?
  16. If you can, use slayer dart on everyone except Ahrim. Use prayer on Dharok, Karil, and probably Ahrim as well. As for the other 3, it depends on how much they hit you. Might be a good idea to pray at all of them >.> Tbh, doing barrows isn't that hard. With moderate stats (especially 43 prayer) and enough money for equipment, it's easy enough. The question is can you do it efficiently enough to make it worth going to. (I.E. if you use say 5 prayer potions a chest plus food and other potions, probably not.)
  17. I can't understand that at all. You don't need to crash at TD's (unlike at GW....) When he did crash, possibly because he was too lazy to hop, he didn't get anywhere. Nor did he get anywhere when he immaturely decided that if he can't have your world, he will try to make it so nobody can have it. And failed again, lol. If he won, he would've been an inconsiderate jerk. But....you don't crash the guy with a steel titan? When I go TD's, I just hop a world or 2 if it's full. Those things are crowded enough to make hopping much of an issue imo.
  18. You want decent money, faster exp. Your post says rocktails are more exp. I highly doubt sharks are a better alternative, and I can't think of any faster ways that net you any profit.
  19. No, what's worse is rain AND snow. At the same time. Causes lots of slush, which then turns into ice, with basically 0 chance of melting. Also brings down power lines, as the slush gets stuck to power lines and builds up and freezes and becomes to heavy for the power lines. Snow just falls off. Although big epic snowstorm is worse then the spring snow and rain. By the way, I find snow in May perfectly natural and normal, although not enjoyable.
  20. I don't have a slayer helm yet, and was thinking about getting one. So it seems to have a very low protection potential. Get it. I can't overstate this. If you have the money and you slay, get it now. If there are any particular items you want me to check, I have one and would be willing to s=check for you. Also, it's worth noting that the FSH has 10 more mage def over the SH So yes, get it/ I don't slay, and I was (am) going to primarily use it for Armadyl Solo. lol. I'll just accept that I'll lose it if I die, and a 3M loss isn't too bad. Er. Why use full slayer helm there exactly?
  21. I usually keep mine "On" but I don't give a rats [wagon] what someone else has theirs set to. I really don't. If they want it on friends, perhaps to not get bugged by some random noob, fine. Maybe they don't want to be a green dot to something they don't have added o.O As for not helping a newb out, well... Some people would rather play their own game then help someone else out. I don't see anything wrong with that.
  22. I think at 250 QP you can block 5 creatures.
  23. Depending on what your doing, BGS might be the best to get because it's cheapest. Remember, except for the special attack, they are all the same. Although personally I really like my SGS.
  24. I disagree. How is it fair that by accident of simply being born across the ocean from the eventual Jagex HQ that I have absolutely no opportunity to attend this event? Yes I can purchase the ticket and redeem the item if I seriously wanted to, but why would I put that money into an event and get 5% opportunity 'payback' than I would if I actually lived in England and could attend? I don't know. Call me bitter..but this doesn't seem fair. You realize that this is essentially a holiday item for people who attend runefest. A fun item to say "I was there." Completely useless. As for the redeem code, Jagex should make it that after a certain amount of time you can't redeem the code or something. Oh and just throwing something out here: for those who paid attention, Mod MMG (or someone at Jagex HQ anyways) stated a while back that, while they are fully against RWT, have nothing against selling items that have a purely cosmetic value.
  25. Problem with the first article: it points out that the floors max out at 69, that a lot of people expect a "Wave II" with Dungeoneering like they did with summon, and that perhaps such a wave is not coming. Well, it is. I read the live FAQ they did, and they mentioned they will be doing a wave two that includes higher level floors (probably up to level 120ish, but they didn't mention any numbers,) a ranged prayer to match the mage prayer and who knows what else. Jagex stated the dungeoneering is....I can't remember it exactly...but like, a blank slate, or just some where they can "re-do" RS, in a way. Make all the skills much more useful, balance the combat triangle and equipment, etc. This to, its a two way prejudice. When i achieved 100cb a couple of months ago, i found that a lot of people stated calling me a noob, or asking me what my summoning was and then going "haha your cb is only 96 or so then!". I think they were doing this because level 100+'s had done it to them. But i think some people who have my experience would start calling low levels noobs and make fun of their levels as a way of subconsciously getting revenge. So it continues in a never ending spiral of prejudice. Lol, people really seem to forget that they used to be low level newbs themselves.... Incidentally, I find that being a low-level newb is when you get the most enjoyment from the game. As for insulting people, I have a perfect quote in my sig about that...
