How is it [developmentally delayed]? Imperial came first then later on the rest of the world developed an easier system, but at this point the US had no reason to switch. Really, why does the whole world need to use a single system? America doesn't have to switch to metric and the rest of the world doesn't have to switch to imperial. Seriously, the whole "because it's easier and more logical" argument could be said for many things, including languages and laws. Should all nations switch to the easiest to learn and most logical language (which by the way isn't English)? We should all switch to Japanese for pure awesomeness. Every other language can suck it.

That's like telling an entire country to learn a new language, it's not that simple. I agree with thrash's solution to switch slowly, which we are already doing. It's funny that almost every other country in the world has English classes in primary schools but we only learn Spanish, Latin, German, or French for 2 years in high school. :lol:

So the population [bleep]es even more and overpopulation becomes a bigger issue than it already is? The same goes for ending disease and war. These things are necessary. Well I could see the positive side to them being here, but now that I think about it, that would mean humans are giving up in the struggle against nature. Things like war brings variety into life.... The controls themselves are reason enough - the Wii could be the first step to those games you see in futuristic shows that show people putting on suits and fighting people. In their current form the controls are not superior, their just different. So the console's potential is only to lead to other consoles in the (most likely distant) future? That could be said about the other 2 as well, e.g the PS3 has brought Blu Ray meaning more data will be able to be stored on discs in future consoles, the 360 brought the idea of a strong unified online service, acheivements, etc. I find that the main problem is that Nintendo refuses to orient it towards serious gamers. With a bteter online system, the Wii would be amazing. Nintendo need to ditch the friend code system or make it one code per system. Agreed. Nintendo could've won this generation hands down if they didn't go so family friendly on us.

What do you guys think of time traveling? Personally I believe that one could go into the future by slowing down one's atoms to the point where everything else is seemingly moving fast. Like freezing yourself. However I believe that backwards time travel is simply impossible because history has already been written. For example, if you were to try to go back in time and kill Hitler it wouldn't work because history has already recorded that Hitler committed suicide in 1945. Some people believe that going back in time and killing a butterfly could have drastic effects in the present. I say that since it still technically happened in the past, it was meant to happen to keep life as we know it. On another note what time period would you go to if you obtained the ability to time travel? I'll be headed towards ancient Egypt.

I don't think this will lead to another civil war. I mean sure we've got a lot of Mexicans at our disposal but we'd still lose. It would be kind of cool if Texas became it's own country again.
