  1. explain pl0x? Wow i never thought of this but this has opened my eyes. It probably wont happen but if you think about it... it makes sense... RSC = first age, RS2 = second age, RS3 = Third age, but i doubt it... I hope these have 80+ stats because im bored of seeing barrows everywhere i go now :-# The Third Age was before RSC. If anything, we're in at least the 5th age.

  3. I could probably fix it by changing the file type... But for the non-tech person, let me try and explain this (as you make it sound like you fit the category). KBs is KiloBytes. Kilobytes are the amount of space your harddrive can handle. As a bad, but accurate analogy, consider a 16oz Cup. The cup can hold 16oz of Water. Any more won't fit, so it spills over. For Tip.It, it limits you to 30kb for bandwidth purposes. The reason why your file is so large is because of how much detail you have. Another example would be this. Think of a list you're making for Grocery Shopping. Compare the List Sizes I make: Note that each list contains the same quantity of items. List 1: 1 Dozen Eggs 1 Gallon Milk 1 Carton Ice Cream 1 Lb Meat 1 Brick of Cheese List 2: 3 Cans of Soup 2 Bottles of Hairspray Now while the overall style is different, note how that the second list is smaller, because it's multiple uses of the same item. With your signature, it has too many different pixels on it, and so the computer must use alot of space to keep the picture accurate. For a better example, Open up your Paint program and use Bucket Dump to fill the whole screen Red, then save it. Then take your spray can, and choose random colors, then spray over that Red. Save as a different file, then Right click the files and choose properties, and observe the file sizes. The one with more color takes more space, as will probably be the case with yoru sig. Another way to possibly fix this is to use a different file extension. For example, using a ".gif" extention uses a good handful less space, however quality will be "granulated," as the best term I can think of. This may bring you close, but you may also be required to reduce the size of your picture as well. No where is it a requirement that 1 single picture fill the entire 400x175 area.
  4. Who told you about that... :ohnoes: I could consider myself one of these people. When I was back on Dial-Up, I once was on for almost 4 hours straight (Summer Vacation mind you), but still that surprised me...
  5. Ewido Anti-Virus works perfectly. It comes with a free trial version to work with that would be perfect to get rid of almost anything.
  6. Where's the Sandwich lady when you need her...
  7. Just turn on the Underline and use the Tab Key. It'll add a large space that takes it to the next 1/2" mark. This will line it up exactly where you want it each time, because it can't stop or be specific lengths.
  8. This should say it all... They're meant to be there to be annoying. I love it though how if you get it wrong, they still say "I hope you enjoy your gift." But yeah, the idea is to check for macroers. A program would have problems with the question due to the rotation of the image. For anyone who isn't a computer and can identify the shape, it's easy and doesn't take much time.
  9. The foot was never designed to increase the chance of receiving a Nest, it only increased the chance of the Egg being inside the nest.
  10. He means that for the new Eagle Teleport system, when you go to the Jungle area, you need to put some kind of Spar on a Young Vine so you can reach the door from the outside. Typically a Spar will work, but he's saying that the Teasing Stick, used for Larupias, Graahks and Kyatts, will work as well. Nice Find, too bad I already threw a thick spar in there.
  11. Ok, so if you saw my last thread about this, I was having issues using the Make... [Caution: ExecutableFile] option due to me being on a teaching version of the program. I have since installed professional and am now able to use this command. Now the problem I'm having is that I need to figure out how to take a TXT file, and have VB read it as I need for the program I'm working on. The program is supposed to be a Random Deck Generator for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. The text file I have was made in Excel, and is set up like this... Set Name Card Name Set Name Card Name This goes on for about 3000 cards, where the is an actual tab over, which I can't use on here. What I need to know is how I'm supposed to get VB to read this... Should I split it up into two different files? One of Sets, one of Names, or is there a specific coude that I can use? So you know what I'm trying to write, the text I need to have the program output is as follows... 1|SET|Card Name The 1 indicates quantity, and SET and Card Name are pretty self-explanitory. Anyone know what their doing to help me with this? It's Visual Basic 6.0 Professional Edition if that makes any difference.
  12. Guess how that applys to our replies...
  13. Perhaps a special tag should be added to any topic given this honor.. maybe just tagged as Hot Topic (DATE HERE). Also, maybe after this feature gets several more topics added to it, make their own forum for them located near the Archive of Wisdom perhaps. Perhaps another thing: For each topic given this, add a poll to the start of it asking "Do you think this topic deserved the Hot Topic award? Yes, No or Indifferent." One more idea for this: When someone gets their topic approved as a Hot Topic for the week, they should receive a special tag (like the Tip.It Crew or Item Researcher Avatar tag) identifing that they received the Hot Topic award. Then at the end of each month, all Hot Topics are put together and a poll is placed asking which you felt was the best. The Winner of this will have their tag updated to say "Hot Topic of the Month." At the end of the Year then, same thing except updates to Hot Topic of the Year.

  15. Tips for Rabbit Hunting Rabbit Hunting works best when you have 3 traps available at a time (lv40+). Set up your snares 2 or 3 spaces away from rabbit holes on one side of the place... Then send your Ferret through a hole ON THE OTHER SIDE. This way, your ferret will likely send it out one of the other 5 holes, but the rabbit won't come towards you, leaving 1 chance that it will miss your traps. Other things that should be said. For the Eagle Transport system (probably has been said already somewhere else), to clear the Desert spot, you must enter from the outside and push the boulder inwards. To get back into the Jungle Spot, you need a Spar from the Tai Bwo Wannai Trio clean-up mini-game (I used Dense, I don't know if any others will work). There is also a rope spawn at the Snow (and I think Desert) spots as well for you to use.
  16. Lucky me, my mother pays for it, and doesn't even ask for anything in return. I get $20 USD a month for allowance, which after Runescape comes out to more like $25 USD. However, before that, I asked my mother as a "reward" for good grades in school that she would let me, and she didn't even need that. I just paid for it at first, then we changed what card it was on and my mother decided to be generous enough to do that. Ironically enough, the card she has it on is only being used for Runescape at this point, so if anything else appears on it, we automatically know something's up.
  17. I was advertising selling my Whip for 1.9m Cash only in Varrock West world 9. Sure enough, a lv3 walks up. I automatically think scammer, and accept the trade. He puts up 4,444k and I put up the whip. I wait a sec, hit accept and sure enough, he drops it to 44,444gp. I decline, report him, and walk off. Idiots... :shame: :shame:
  18. great... well now i have to clean out my e-mail of all the "you have a new response" messages from this forum, and I'll have to find someone who can compile it for me...
  19. If you're trying to keep your hp low, you can take a hatchet and knife into the game and repair the blockades and gates. Each time you repair something, you get 5 hitpoints towards your needed 50. So 10 logs, 10 repairs, 50 points at no combat increase.
  20. To use a visual basic term, that option has been disabled, as in it's greyed out. I can't click it, and I'm trying to figure out if it's because I'm using a tutor-style version of the program or if there's something I need to do before I can use that option.
  21. It's one form that I need to do, and I was looking in a book I have, "Programming in Visual Basic 6.0," and it was talking about "Make... [Caution: ExecutableFile]," so I know I have the right function. There is no Build option, and I can only do Compile after I've reached the dialog that the Make command brings up...
  22. Train on Copper, Tin and Clay for a while until you can use at least Adamant. Either that or look for some unknown spot to mine it...
  23. I propose we settle this once and for all with a full out challenge. Two different people make 2 different accounts, each training 1 stat to say lv20. One trains to lv20 stg, the other to lv20 def. Then we send them to a fight in the Wilderness, each using the best items they can. Afterwards, they each will train to the next type of metal, and fight again, ect ect. This will solve the problem once and for all...
  24. Ok, quick little update here. I managed to find what command I'm supposed to use to make the project a [Caution: ExecutableFile] file, only problem is that it won't let me use that command. I don't know if it has to do with the version of Visual Basic I'm using or if there's something I'm supposed to do with the project first, although I have a gut feeling it's the first...
  25. 3rd post of this topic. Quote from the disc, the program is "Working Model Visual Bsic 6.0 and Student Data Files for use with Programming in Visual Basic 6.0". Essentially this was a tutor disc, but it still has the full version...
