  1. Are you really, really blind or something? 180000% rise in 1 day is NOT natural: so it WON'T go down much anymore, and the PRICE IS STUCK THANKS TO NO BUYERS!
  2. Dont go for them. It takes to long to get a decent amount of tabs... unless you do something like: get enough tokens for 10 Runecrafting gloves(earths) and then get about 1k - 2k teletabs. Sure it would take about 2days to get all of this. But i think that it will be worth it. VEry fast ecp... I beg to differ, slaytanicc. If you have Tele-Tabs with the Lumbridge Explorer's Ring (3), then it is even faster than walking to and fro from any altar to bank. I suppose the flam in my argument is that you need to have the Lumbridge Explorer's Ring uhm how does the explorer ring work here lol! Teletablets are really a waste of time and -thus- money: really the time you spent gathering these tablets people forget to take into consideration!
  3. Hey now I can advise you again :) - Well someway my guide about manage thy kingdom I can't find anymore (maybe I should repost it). But anyways Ive got a very, very extensive excel sheet about MTK calculations (I'll upload it if you want so you can play with it yourself): When updating once a week, and collecting after 28 days, the best is to put 10 at fish and 5 at woodcutting: flax' prices have dropped too much the last month to be really usefull nowadays :( This set up yields: wc profit daily: 30717.62083 gp fishing profit daily: 72250.29946 gp total profit daily: 102967.9203 wc profit after 28 days: 340778.564 fishing profit after 28 days; 2021925.248 total profit: 2362703.812 (notice that it's less than 28 times the daily profit thanks to rounding down which runescape does when considering randoms).. I tested it with over 2 years of gathering stuff (currently gathering mining stuff: so that might be slightly outdated - I noticed the amount of good random items you got was reduced around 6 months ago) and against ge prices from the first of this month!
  4. Cause what's the point of spending it on a skill? I get 99 and then what? What benefit would I get from a skill? I don't like "bragging"/looking good at all: and the skillcape will always be worse than my fight cape. Also I don't like doing something over and over (and over again): grinding is nothing for me. (However I do like doing things for like 5 hours just to see if it's a better training method, so I'll always be the first one there when a new update happens). Also I really like minigames: however if it isn't rewarding you won't see me doing it! (other than for testing if it really isn't rewarding). So getting a 99 in such a skill wouldn't be only a waste of money, but also a waste of time! I rather just drop my money in that case! But aren't there things like "lumberjack" that still give some small bonus?
  5. Well an easy solution: go testing it.. Kill dragons for around 5 hours using both methods.. Now after it calculate the nett money spent (that is the money spent for casts minus the money from drops).. let's say it's 200k/hour for claws (X) and 120k/hour for waves (Y) Also calculate the amount of xp/hour for both methods: 50k xp/hour, 4 gp/xp 40k xp/hour, 3 gp/xp Now to get 1M xp you would spent: claws: 1m/50k=20 hours +1M*4 = 4M waves: 1M/40k=25 hours +1M*3 = 3M So 5 hours extra for the xp, and 1M less to spent, if you make over -(3M-4M)/(25-20) = 200k/hour claws are better.. Or putting it in a general formula: Alright, tipit apparantly doesn't like transparant images: http://img367.imageshack.us/img367/3397/88720708gu1.png
  6. Wow: talk about manipulation here! - Of course it's just a d chain + some skill cape. Why did he make the resolution of the picture so small though? Seems to me like he knew it already and wanted to get others to think otherwise!
  7. Well I got a bit of surplus on money.. And I don't have any idea what to spend it on.. I've got 30M cash atm: However I've also 7.5M at miscellania, and more than enough supplies than I'll ever need (got like all basic fight gear, 100k unfinished broad bolts, 10k diamond bolts, all runes at 5k+, 2k coal, 3k yews 1k magic logs - 3k brews and 1k super restores). So supplies I really don't need to waste my money on the next few months/years.. But what shall I spent my money on? - I don't care at all for a skill like firemaking, cooking or fletching: I will only train a skill if it gives me some advantage in the end!) There are a few options I'm considering: -Buy dragonfire shield: problem is, if I ever get dragon tasks I always range them, so is a dragonfireshield actually usefull for non-dragon tasks above a rune defender? -Buy a bandos godsword: 90% of the time I'm fighting I'm doing slayer though: and I heard a whip+defender is better for general slaying? (it's special seems quite useless for most slayer tasks where the enemies defense doesn't matter) -collect more money and buy a SGS again, if it's only for the special I don't really consider 60M it worth. -Buy robin/archer boots/infinity/dark bow (I'm never maging: however I do range dragons quite often. lately been ranging more than actual meleeing) -Train a USEFULL skill: prayer - I'll be training it to 70 anyways: is the extra few levels I get worth the money after 70 (and worth more than buying some high end armor?) -Train summoning (bursting): Don't particularly care about summoning, got enough charms for 68 already: so would 30M get me to 88? -train construction: Would 30m get my level high enough (from level 50) for my own gilded altar + portal room? Don't care about anything before that so I won't train it unless it's enough for that already! -"invest" it: what to invest in? I don't feel like watching the ge every day and worrying about wether a price would fall/rise: so if I'm going to invest I would only do it if I know for sure (at least 99% sure) that a price would considerably rise! - And I would like to invest for "1 or more years", don't like that speculating for 1-2 days.. -something else? So: what would you do?
  8. Because JAgex doesn't want you to profit from cutting granite
  9. Wow they manually updated I think the prices from 5kg and 2kg granite today: Image not available for this item Granite (5kg) 12 4,232 4,220 35.2k Image not available for this item Granite (2kg) 17 2,116 2,099 12.3k 35200% rise! seems like they don't want us to profit from granite cutting -.-
  10. Uhm isn't the message completely obvious? Really such flood control is pretty common nothing "new" about it! - Besides a topic which you think up + write in under a minute isn't really worth posting in my opinion.
  11. I only found 1 yet: inside the lumbridge castle...
  12. I wouldn't melee them: just go ranging/maging and drink anti fire pots.. Maybe it's faster at your levels with melee; however you would want to up your ranged and magic levels someday anyways!
  13. Price manipulation is in fact the usage of a small "bug" in the GE, and the way people think: What happens is that a select few people buy an item so much that there's no stock anymore.. Now since the ge has a delay before updating it's prices they all got it for the same low price. But after that the update kicks in and the prices start to rise: this rise is being magnified by the fact that the item is needed for the avarage scaper AND the fact that others see the price rise: and they decide to want a free lift and start stocking up too that item. Making the demand skyrocket (and in time: the price too).. Notice that the "manipulators" who initialy bought the item aren't doing anything now: they just let the price rise. Now after some time the initial buyers, who really have a lot of them, suddenly sell a lot of the item again: and suddenly the supply skyrockets.. However since there's a delay in the GE update all those items will be sold for the maximum price. After that the price plummets again, and all people who wanted the free ride start to panic selling: making the price drop to a very low mark again. Now what can be done against this? - In real life there's that rule that you aren't allowed to organize such buyings (in dutch: "handelen met voorkennis") - However it's unenforceble in runescape.. What can be done is making the ge react much faster to the supply/demand rises. But there the biggest problem are the players: they sell an item for XXX gold: and don't 'look' at it the whole day: so the price they offer is greatly outdated. A better system would be that you can say: "sell for average price + 1%" - However this is too difficult for most players (I bet 99% of the people around rs can't calculate the money you would get if you offer something 1000 times for ge + 1% and the ge price is 234gp within a second)..
  14. strange that it hasn't been said yet: but you can "eat + pot" in the normal time of simply eating: if you eat first and then quickly click the potion that potion is used without a delay.... very usefull when you need quickly health at the gwd bosses :).
  15. elemental killing for money  Well if you're almost out of time the aviansies at gwd are cool too: just read a guide about them, they drop around 1.5 addybar/aviansee as well as lots of other high alchable goodies: around 600k/hour at 80 ranged.
  16. Well that's nothing.. My spree is really "good": irons - steels - irons - wyversn - irons - wyverns - steels - irons - wyverns. Bye duradell, Hi sumona! (sure I like irons, steels and wyverns once in a while - but a continuasly stream of them is the most annoying thing there is)
  17. read their site - there are lots of ways you can do it! Ow and to answer your original question: it's actually (much) more safe than using credit cards...
  18. But seriously, 2 years is a loooong time in rs (the above post is only about the last 6-9 months): almost the whole game has recieved an "overhaul": hunting and summoning have been added as new skill.. Countless new quests, A lot of new minigames (barbarian assault, pest control revamped, puro puro and a few more).. High level monster hunting has some amazing new area (god wars dungeon, barbarian ancients cave). - This Also gave many more high level armor pieces. Slayer has recieved the needed updates (many "better" monsters of the current 1's at various caves) treasure trails recieved 3 updates: first becomming very reliable and now 90% is useless (though the 10% is even better profit than before).. Also skill specific there are countless number of updates that happened: just name a skill and I'll say a few...
  19. Those who had a lot of gp should be happy! - they can buy now more for less Those (like me..) who didn't have a lot of gp, but instead spent most on money are the real "losers" from such a crash... (I own 10m cash and had around 50m on items: now it's down to around 30m on items + 10m cash)..
  20. IN tolkien's world elves are supposed to be "immortal" too: yet many of them died in all eras. Immortallity only means in this concept that they won't die from natural cases. A funny thing is that both elves from tolkien and the dragonkin were actually afraid from dieing, more so than the non-immortal humans!
  21. good work getting that information here comrad! Really looking forward to the penguin update! One of the "best" stories in my opinion (I like it when there are a lot of funny "hints" to real world stuff).. - Maybe we can finally get into the kgb room now.. Also the sos upgrade looks awesome: I really liked the principle of the "2 worlds", it was something refreshing, new thing in runescape: hopefully it will be extended... Any idea on what would be needed for the quests? - I guess more crafting/construction for the penguin quest.. And summoning for the sos quest (obviously): but what levels you guess?
  22. I don't know if anyone ever noticed it.. But the "start" of the dropping all (for all high end armor) happened at the same day: 24 august! - Really everything started to drop at that day strangely!
  23. When you lagg sometimes, she does get to you. Infact you click away, and the lagg somehow draws you a bit towards her. Anyhow if my prayer went out, then it would have been "0", and not in 30s. I think it can be possible that i somehow, mysteriously clicked a place that turned prayer off? But thing is: i doubt that. Cause it happend twice, and i had nowhere my "Prayer" spellbook up. As for panicking. I have been to boss alot, and find her the most fun boss of all. Infact 2 trip ago i died lol, team blessed: i got all stuff ready (from bank) and went to get stuff back+rejoin my team. That says how calm i can be at boss. But if i lagg, then i will be annoyed lol, but hey what can i do about that :wall: I will be going to Saradomin again, soon (have been getting 79 summ) and ill report back if this happens again. Just wondering: were you playing in HD?? Since I too experience sometimes strange "clicks": when I click in my inventory somewhere a prayer gets on!
  24. I don't understand why it must be that "magic a costly skill".... I really don't get that.... I still remember the days that high level magic was THE money maker, not with pking but just with monster hunting it was!
  25. SSSHT don't tell those secrets to have carefree rs live to everyone! :P on a more serious note: I don't know about that "duping": Won't believe it if I don't see it with my own eyes. But I've heard from various sources about this problem now already (rsof, here, just in runescape at different world..) On the other hand, I've seen with my own eyes there's a lot of panic selling going on: and when the pure ess was rising high a similar thing happened when there was a lot of panic buying.. I bet people will soon notice they still like their old weaponry: and buy it back.. Sure the price won't get as high as it was usual (just like the pure essence price after bumping to 170 ea never got back to 100-120), but I think it will go up quite a bit again in 1-2 weeks.. @nightzero: well I cancelled membership quite a few times in the past, 1 time for 1 year... But why would I sell my stuff: it's not like you actually ever need more than 10m as f2p!
