Training Mage, Using Curse?
I hope you have a LOT of patience. Doing it to 99 is quite slow and very hard on the hands, as you have to cast over and over.

Alt codes (new little icons in game)
Stupid Laptops, they don't have those numbers on the right hand side, only on the top. No wonder I could never do it. #-o

I bet you never knew... ~\500+ facts collected/~
I bet you never knew... You can no longer do your Achievement Cape Emote as an egg. Nice work Jagex, what harm did it do?

They can do. Not that I'm going to say how you do it though.

whats better to use against steels fire bolt or slayer dart?
Using Chaos Gauntlets and Fire Bolt is a little easier on the budget I'd guess. Not all have 55 Slayer also. Fire Bolt is cheaper, a chaos is like 140gp and I buy fires at 10 each, so it's a cheaper spell. Just personal preference though I guess.

Maging steel dragons?
No, DON'T TRY IT. His mage is much higher than yours. I'm there now, trust me, you will splash A LOT. (I'm 74 Mage) His drops are luckier than most, and the Visage was just pure luck. At your level, you'll splash so much it isn't worth it. And if your combat levels are anything like your mage levels, you'll get pounded getting there and taking the odd hit from the Dragons. Train the Mage up a bit, get some chaos gauntlets, then try it a bit later.

Anyone got verac, torag and dharok?
Maleficus is right. Wearing Barrows and NOT attacking anything will not degrade it. If I just wore it and never attacked or was hit by anything, it would stay undamaged forever. So, just buy the three parts, try 'em, then you can sell them if you don't like them without having to pay repair costs. Just don't attack anything to try it out. :P

Maging Metal Dragons - Viable Hobby?
Well, I've been down for a little bit. I've already identified where I can make changes. I'm now confident to go down with a ROW instead of a ROL and I will probably invest in Ahrim instead of my mystic/split combo, just too many splashes. I've also noticed, at 74 Magic, that Iron Dragons are a better choice for me. Much less splashes and more drops. If anyone suggests against doing just Irons feel free, but for the number of better hits I am getting, I'd prefer to stick with Irons. To the person who said Magic Dart, only 51 Slayer. :P

Which weapon is better flail or whip?
Whip hands down. Your sources are wrong, a WHIP will hit harder. Whip is faster, has better stats and is one handed. Flail is slower, has worse stats and is two handed. Only use flail with full verac.

Maging Metal Dragons - Viable Hobby?
I want to do a spot of Metal Dragon Hunting every now and then, and I am planning to mage them with fire bolt and chaos gauntlets. Do the drops of the dragons cover the cost of potions and runes? I'm looking for personal experience here, I'm mainly looking to mage Steel Dragons and want to know if it is really worth my time.

~**~How Many Times Have You Been Called A.......
Some of the lower levels call me a "no lifer" because of my average stats which I've accumulated over 3 and a half years of playing, never no lifed once, gets a bit annoying when the noobs bother you like that.

26 June 2007 - Guaranteed Content - Halloween results
I agree with Mayjest. It ruins the surprise a bit. I was happier logging on and following everyone around in a craze doing the event. Now that I know what's coming up, it spoilt it a bit.

JaGeX's New Poll Too Hard?
Exactly, and with a little clicking, you can find most of your specs quite quickly. My laptop isn't custom built and I had no problems answering all the questions. Just for the reference, 1.4ghz Celeron M with 780M ram. Bit weak, but it gets the job done. The "I don't know" is a silly option. Only vote if you know what your talking about. They shouldn't of put that in.

Going Solo - Hard to do now
When I read your title I didn't think of video games at all :P Anyway, maybe try playing some different genres that you mightn't of played much before. Try some new games and maybe that might ignite your love of video games. If not, just take a break and come back later, normally it's more appealing if you've been away from it.

*!* Post your best Specials *!*
I remember one Tip.It'er set out to prove that 100+ was possible. He actually did, too. Hit 101 on one of those shades, umm, Fiyr Shade I think. The max hit calculator will tell you it's impossible, but he actually did it, so the calculator must not be 100% accurate. :-k EDIT: If anyone has a link to this post, I forget who it was but I know it was a man (as opposed to a woman), and it was umm .. at least one year ago I believe. Before Dharok's was nerfed, (was it nerfed? I think it was ...) and I'm fairly sure he no longer plays. It was after the Fight Caves, because he had a Fire Cape. Some very famous Tip.It'er, I always got the impression that he was middle aged probably. He actually had to get 99 max HP, so he could get the maximum 98 Str bonus from 98 HP lost. Hope all those clues help somebody find him. I remember the post and it was a 101 on a shade... full dharoks, fire cape, salve amulet 1hp from 99 and super potted. I cant remember the name though. Sozzle. I'm pretty sure his TIF name is trembake and his rsn is Golvellius07, my spelling and that may be a little out though. He posts fairly frequently, I remember seeing that hit, it was insane.

Least used place to cut willows?
I'd agree with the people here and say the willows near BA. Whenever I tele there for a run at the actual minigame, there isn't normally too many people at the willows and it is quite a good spot to cut.

payment for planking oaks?
I don't think paying people to plank for you will work. People will just plank their own oaks and sell on the forums for a nice price. I think you'd be best off just buying your planks off the forums if you don't want to plank them. You can plank fairly quickly by using your Butler. Take your noted oak logs, then get him to un note them, plank them, then while your building larders or whatever, send him to un note a fresh load. That doesn't work too badly.

OFFICIAL: Upcoming Tip.it Forum Changes
I believe that General F2P and P2P should be merged. I am a frequent browser of the General P2P forum and I think that some of the topics of late have being a bit lackluster. By merging General F2P and P2P, this should help remove these threads quicker and have better discussions. I find the General board has some good discussions going and by merging P2P and F2P, the quicker post rate should keep the good topics bumped and the bad topics slide. Now, onto the Help boards. I am 100% for taking them back to the way they were. I think the subforums are pointless. For the volume of help threads posted, leaving it as one forum is better. I used to post in the Help and Advice forum a lot but I tend to leave it now as I don't like going through three different subforums. By having a single forum, posters can get their answer much quicker as all people looking to give Advice only have to go to one area. Originally, with one forum, there wasn't an overly large volume of questions and you could get some good answers fairly quickly. Like I've said, with three subforums, there are just not enough people reading the separate subforum to get an answer, you can get a much more quick and efficient answer with more opinions by just having one forum. As for the Clue boards and the RSC boards, I don't use them so I can't really give an opinion on those. I also think that the Player Made Guides subforums should be merged back into one. Looking on the Skills PMG, there are guides upto five days since a post and the Monsters, Money Making etc PMG has guides upto eight days since a post. I think that keeping one subforum for these would be better, if we are having guides upto eight days since a post still on the first page. This way, the better guides will stay in the first page and the ones people don't like will drift down. Well, they're my opinions.

Our new, more powerful Crossbows!
I LOVE THE NEW CROSSBOWS. I made up a few, opal bolts (e), pearl bolts (e) and emerald bolts (e). Using the emerald bolts at 67 ranged, I hit 17's, and fairly frequently I was poisoning the dragon. Imo, better than an MSB. The green stuff underneath the dragon was the enchanted emerald bolts special, it poisons your opponent for a 5 poison damage.

Trouble brewing advice
That's exactly what I do. Get the rum going, then towards the later stages, work on getting the bonus POE. Getting scrapey bark is also a good way to get POE. Good luck. :)
