The Evolution of Varrock! (Now with NEW Varrock pics!)
[hide=Quotes] You can hear the old rs song from the music list, just go to rs classic and vwala. i'm not a classic user, so i cant use rs classc :( btw, i think its "voila" Or just listen to 'Scape Original' on your music list. Lol its next to all the other "scape" music btw old fallador never looked any different, excpet new guards lvls 19 and 22 Umm...yes it did look different. Falador buildings were gray, everything is now white and the bricks are different. argh, that's such a small detail i forgot... but there were no new buildings... and there was never a king, they should really make a quest and l;ook into that... seriously what happened to the guy? :-s [/hide] Apparently there is a quest coming some time in the future involving the King of Falador, but don't wait on it, it could be a while coming. No, there are no new buildings with the Falador update, just a whole lot of white.

Can you say "gluff"?
Why do you keep bumping old threads, this isn't the first time you bumped very old threads. Anyway, I say Yanille: Ya-nill. Tz-Tok-Jad: Tizz Tock Jadd. Ardougne: Arr-doy-en. Glough: Gloff. It depends where you come from. Different accents pronounce words different ways.

Question: Least-Admirable Skill Cape
Why I say WHY, do people keep forgetting you sell your cooked produce/fletched bows. At the current market prices, Raw lobster is 210-230ea and Cooked Lobster is 190-220ea. So lets say you lose 20gp a lobster. You need roughly 104k lobsters from lvl 65 (I think thats the stop-burning level with Cooking Gauntlets). 104,000 @ 20ea (loss between raw and cooked) = 2.1M cost. Cooking is way off your number of 25M. It costs 10x less than what you stated. If it costed 25M, many, many less people would have 99 Cooking. Having re read your post through, it may seem as though your trying to say that buying ALL lobsters needed at once for 99 Cooking is a bit exy. But not many people go out and buy all their lobsters at once. Unless they have cash to blow, they might buy 10k for example and cook them, then sell them. Either way, cooking is one of the easier buyables, because whether you spend all your cash on all your lobsters or buy them in blocks, you still only lose 2.1M.

Question: Least-Admirable Skill Cape
well that doesn't prove that fm is the least expensive does it? That just proves that it's not the most expensive, thus proving firemaking cape is not the most admirable which is pretty obvious. fletching and cooking both cost less and there's also something special about firemaking: there is no return. This means that of all the money you spend you don't get anything back. There is a return on fletching/cooking and a considerably large one on crafting. This makes firemaking a bit harder. Thanks for quoting half the post and missing the point . Firemaking being a low-costing skill compared to some other skills was just 1 factor for why Firemaking, in my opinion, is the least admirable skill. I said that it requires very little skill and very little time. That's why it is the least admirable skill cape. (in my opinion). Fletching costs much mroe, lets say that you want to fletch some yew short bows. They give you 135 exp each. You will need 93223 Yew short bows to get from level 65 to level 99. a yew is err.... 500 each? (is that right? I'm no good with prices) 93223 * 500 = 46611500 -> 46 million, 611k and 500 gp. This does not include the money gathered from flax or the money lost earlier on in fletching. Fletching costs much less. Your numbers are way off. First, you get 70 and make Yew Longs. Second, yews are 250-300 ea. Thirdly, you SELL or alch the bows that you make. Either way, you make a profit off yew longs. It costs less for Fletching then FM. I must say, I respect all skill capes. I look at Cooking and like it, same with fletching. I like them all. 10k out of millions of RS players is still quite a good achievement and shows your dedication. 60 hours of cooking is dedicated and a good achievement in my eyes. Who cares what others think. If YOU like your skill cape, albeit common, as long as you like it, isn't that what counts, that YOU like what you've worked on?

Mage Arena....
Air Blast is fine. You don't need many, if any p pots, just take a few to be safe. Depends on when you play, I had no pk trouble at all, bring a friend if you really want to feel safe but not necessary.

99 crafting
Like most skills, you can do it quicker and lose money, or you can do it much slower, but make a nice profit. If you want to make a profit, do that instead of shooting straight for 99.

Farming, the least popular skill!
Maybe monsters could drop MORE THAN 1 SEED at once. I mean, they could have 4-5 in their pockets or something. I think lower lvl seeds drop more than 1 at a time, but I mean maybe getting 5-6 watermelon seeds in one drop would be nice. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think (not 100% sure) that many monsters drop any more than 1 decent seed at a time.

Quickest 99 to obtain?
Quickest 99...Cooking, by far. Wonder why so many have it? I think it takes roughly 50-55 hours from lvl 80 cooking Lobsters to 94, then Sharks to 99. I don't have one, but thats what I've read.

Goutweed
One herb for one goutweed. For the amount of trouble needed to steal the goutweed, NOT a quick and easy way to get herbs. I recommend farming herbs instead, much quicker and it's cheaper than buying the herbs.

Can't you fix them in your POH to make new swords out of them?

Best way to get 60 mining.
You could try mining gold in Arzinia. You can use the boatman to bank your gold for you. Quite fast.

What is the most you have lost when you died?
I've lost a little over my time. I lost a Zammy skirt (I know, I was poor), a Rune (g) helm and a few over little things. I forgot to take a light into the Lumbridge Caves. Then a few weeks ago, I lost about 600k of goodies, plus a Rune def to RFD. I was killing the Gelatinoth (sp?) Mother. It was red barred and I had about 14hp (can't use prayer there). I thought I should be able to beat it, and my luck went. Hit me for 12,2 (it does 2 attacks at once) and died. Of course, I spawn at Falador so I couldn't run back to get my stuff. Thats about it. It doesn't bother me much, I don't care if I'm poor, I still enjoy myself. :D

Farming Herbs.
Aren't they supposed to take around 90 minutes anyway, whenever I farm them they always take roughly 90 minutes.

new lunar spells?
Whats your problem? You post about new Lunar Spells, then say you hate Lunar. Then, you have a go at someone just because they are agreeing with many others that a tanning spell is a good idea. He was agreeing with others and whats the matter with that? It just proves beyond doubt that a Tanning spell is what the community would like from this update.

Unlucky Moments!
Why would you have Karils if you can't wear it? I can understand you wearing Rune (g), but you don't have the level for Karil. (Checking your stats, correct me if you have another account :) ) Just seemed a bit odd/

new lunar spells?
Since spells are being added to the spellbook, don't expect too many new spells (well I'm not). I think they'll add maybe 5-10 new spells. *Hopefully* the spells will be useful and worthwhile. I hope there are more skills related spells added to this one over support spells, as the Lunar spellbook already has enough support spells. Some useful skilling spells would be nice like the aforementioned Tan Hides spell. A Group Home Tele would be great as well as some useful, skills related teles. Remember, like Freesia said, don't get too expectant. It's been happening a lot lately here on the forums, people are hoping for heaps and being disappointed.

Yeah they do look a little different. The necklaces also look quite different too.

30 April 2007 - 24 Carat Update
Really only the Dragonstone Necklace and Bracelet are worthwhile. The Diamond Abyssal Jewellery isn't bad but at 5 charges, is probably not going to be used. The Sapphire one for clay isn't bad, make a few for Construction items so it's not too bad. Update is alright, the new Dragonstone items look promising!

:: Pyramid Plunder Guide - Fastest Experience ::
Very nice guide, well written! I have a few questions about this before I pour money into it. I didn't understand the bit about the Food:Anti ratio. Is it saying take 1 10 hp food (eg Tuna) for each dose of regular Anti? So if I took 1 Anti pot, I'd need 4 tuna?? That confused me a little. And also, does the Lunar Spell *Cure Me* work well in PP or is it better to stick to just plain antis. Thanks. 10/10 for the guide, very informative, I don't need to look anywhere else, this has told me everything.

Why doesn't anyone ever play with private chat on?
I always leave mine on. I normally only chat to a few people at once so I don't mind people adding me for a chat. :)

Average skill total of a lvl 90 combat character?
I'm lvl 92 and I'm 1449 total. A good way to get it up is pick out your lower lvled skills and lvl them, as they will come faster. Good luck!

Whats Better? Lumby or Edgy?
I'd have to say bank at Edgy but being P2P and use Shilo and Monks, I can't be too sure, but I'm guessing its a quicker run to Edgy bank then up the stairs in Lumbridge.
