Fate
Something like that. We can choose what we want, but in a way, our choices are controlled by fate. It sounds contradictory, but it makes enough sense to me. And I know you said to look in your sig, but from my personal viewpoint, the world is far from perfect. There are a lot of great things, but a lot of terrible things. It could be fate that caused the terrible things to happen, but it could also be bad choices made by people. Of course, those choices were controlled by fate... :? #-o Yeah. I'm confusing myself. I think I could go further, but it would probably start a religious debate. Which I'm not in the mood for. Maybe later.

Worst thing you got caught doing at school!
HOSHI- I'm getting ideas from this thread. My senior prank will, without a doubt, be epic win. =D> Ah. Same. I'm already planning, and I still have quite a few years left. I should make a list... Last year, my sister's school got I think 12 bomb threats. #-o Mine got...None. -.- And for the "pulling-chair-out" thing, someone at my school broke their arm because of it. :?

Dang. You look exactly like my sister. Except in addition to the red/purple, she has a bit of blue as well. :?

What is your ideal life?
I'm not really sure. Recently, humanity has started to get on my nerves. How misanthropic. Though since I'm quite anti-social, living by myself wouldn't be too bad. However, I love technology, especially electronics. I can't live without computers, internet, video games...So that doesn't really work. The first part would mean being like Walden. Living in a cabin, in the middle of the woods. Away from everyone else. Time to be alone, to think. Not too bad. I honestly want to try this sometime... The second part would mean a lifestyle like my current one. In the suburbs, not too crowded, but not in the middle of nowhere. A decent sized house (Not too big), a family, a good computer, video games, etc. And a job...Something to do with video games, or a mathematician. Maybe something else. Since this is about an ideal life, not being extremely realistic...Mix them together. A decent sized house, with a good internet connection and working electricity in the middle of the woods. Don't know about the family, that would kind of defeat the purpose. I guess I could live without it. And a job...Eh, I guess some video game jobs can be done at home.

Worst thing you got caught doing at school!
Dang. I really need to try that elf thing...I might not get a chance though, it seems as if the surveys I'm given never ask for race. I do all that other stuff though...I don't know if I mentioned it (Did I even post in this topic before?) but once, one of the questions was "How many times have you committed suicide?" #-o I got caught breaking into my friend's locker this year. Meh. I got the code by watching him open it once, out of my peripheral vision. Once caught, I was fortunate enough to be holding a textbook, and it was near the beginning of school. So I just said that he was letting me put my book in there for the day. Worked, somehow...I've never really been a good liar...

Extremely weird / violent dream.
I have a piece of wood next to my bed, if you add a rubber band/paperclip onto it, it looks relatively like a sword. Don't ask why. Anyway, once I had a dream that I was in a battle. Not a modern battle...A fantasy battle. With knights and swords and elves and all that. So yeah...I was fighting, and I woke up...And the piece of wood was in my hand. Also, my pillow tends to be thrown into the corner of the room while I sleep. I have no idea how. :? But I've never rolled off my bed or anything. And definitely not what happened to you...

MMORPG's
Free MMORPGs, eh? I consider that to be my specialty. I've tried way too many of them, I actually considered making a thread review a bunch of them. Maybe I will someday. Anyway, the thread Mano linked to mainly consists of P2P MMORPGs. Age of Conan, World of Warcraft, Lord of the Rings Online. I consider those to be the top three, from what I've read. So...Uh... [hide=Long...]First of all, my favorite free MMORPG of all time has been Silkroad Online. I don't know why. It just appeals to me. It's one of the biggest grindfests ever (Though as you will notice, basically every free MMORPG is), but there is something called the triangular trade. You choose a job, merchant, hunter or thief. Merchants buy caravans and goods, and go from city to city, making money. Thieves hunt the merchants, trying to kill them and steal their goods to sell for themselves. Hunters try to protect the merchants, killing thieves. It's pretty fun I guess, especially if you go in a large group. There are two sides to Silkroad Online, Europe and China. China is mainly for solo, and you choose from 3 weapons and 3 (Technically four) elemental masteries. Europe is party-based, you choose from 6 classes, but most people tend to sub-master a second class. I would think twice before trying Silkroad, it seems as if I'm the only person to like it. And it's bot-infested, if you thought RuneScape was bad, you were wrong. Joymax has started cracking down on them, but there are still a ton. Currently, my main MMORPG is Fiesta. The graphics...Well...Forget them. Putting them aside, there are only four classes, the standard warrior, archer, mage and cleric. It's also a grind, but there are things called Kingdom Quests, basically dungeons. Eventually, you're able to craft, like in RuneScape. You collect items, then you make them into things. I haven't gotten to that point yet, so I don't know much about it. Fiesta doesn't have that addicting factor, it doesn't make me want to play and play, like other games. The closest thing I've found to WoW has probably been Rappelz. None of my friends wanted to play it, so that was a downside, solo isn't fun. I did play it for a while though, and it's alright. Nothing too special. Voyage Century Online sounds like it's a lot like RuneScape. Plenty of non-combat, and there are naval battles. Sounds kind of unique to me. However, when I started, I had no idea what to do. The tutorial wasn't helpful at all. I think I managed to find a quest to do, and it was a grinding one. I uninstalled it after that. If you can find your way around, you might like it. Anarchy Online would probably be what Nadril says, after he tells you to dish out some money and get Age of Conan. And I trust Nadril's judgment when it comes to MMORPGs. If you can find some friends to play with, AO could be your best choice. However, my friends once again were reluctant to try it, but I ended up getting to a decent level. It has a somewhat steep learning curve, and it still is a grind...But it also has crafting. It's sci-fi, which may be another reason I didn't like it that much. I could go on and on...But I'll end it here, with a list. Talisman Online, another of the few MMORPGs that have appealed to me. Flyff, a game like a mix between Fiesta and Rappelz. Sword the New World, a unique game using MCC (Multiple character control), in a historical setting. Shadowbane, a PvP based game that I can't figure out is free or not. 9Dragons, a similar game to Silkroad Online, except in my opinion, worse. (Though some of the quests actually have a storyline) Drift City, a racing MMORPG that got boring eventually, but was really fun at first. I think I forgot a few, don't really remember. There are obviously more, just check on MMORPG.com.[/hide]

Earthquakes
I think I'm going to have to win this thread. Fine, maybe not I spent the first four years of my life in Taiwan, and I come back every year. (I am now) Taiwan is a huge earthquake zone. Oh, and there are typhoons as well. :wall: So yeah. I've had my share of earthquakes. The epicenters are rarely near Taipei, but a lot can be felt. As most were quite a while ago, I can't really remember them, but I'm sure there were some big ones. Once, I was in Fong Yuan, where my mom and her family are from. Apparently the epicenter for a pretty big one was near there. I saw the fault line, it was pretty big. And the damage... The one earthquake I remember was a 6.2 or 7.2, I don't remember. It was three or four years ago, while I was here on vacation. I was in a basement, doing calligraphy. (Lawl) All of a sudden, I feel shaking...It was only for a few seconds, but woah. Earthquake. The epicenter was a bit far from Taipei (Where I was), so if I could feel it there, it must have been quite strong. I ended up going to the Taipei 101 the same day. Wonder what it would've been like if I was up there at the time. Edit: This. One of the pictures at the bottom is labeled Fengyuan, apparently that's the same as Fongyuan.

What are your flaws?
Geez, comments on this thread keep reminding me of myself. I can have a low self-esteem at times, while inflating my ego at others. I'm nearly always pessimistic though, I only am optimistic when I'm sarcastic. More flaws... Apathy has really struck my recently. I've lost interest in a lot of things, haven't really found anything new. I suppose I get distracted easily as well. I make really weird connections in my mind, and sometimes quite quickly too. One second I'll be thinking about one thing, the next another. So I can go from reading a book to thinking about chickens in a matter of seconds. (And the book wasn't about chickens) No wonder I read so slow. I lose track of time way too easily. Even though I wear a watch nearly all the time. At least that can come in helpful tomorrow, on my dreaded 24-hour trip. #-o Speaking of that, my paranoia comes back into play. Whenever I go on a vacation, I have to check everything. I make sure I packed everything (As in rummaging through the entire house until there's nothing left that I need), make sure the stove is off, make sure the door is locked, etc. It might sound normal, but I'm pretty sure it's not if you do each thing like 5 times. Such a waste of time, and I somehow always manage to forget something.

I think he means CP-ing with characters, that you're allowed to switch characters between games. Rather than matches, as it was before.

They'll abuse it again, duh. So just wait until they do, and get banned again. :|

Er...Take off stuff about the first tourney? Other than the rules, that is... As previously stated, I'm going to have to sit this one out. Have fun and good luck to those who participate!

Super Smash Bros. Brawl Discussion Thread!
Ike has more damage, and can actually kill them. He also has SAF on his Aether. If you use your upb on meta, you can rack up damage decently, but youll have a hard time killing them. One hit = KO...? That's what happened for me... :? Either way works though. Now, I wonder what's the record for actually trying it. Not abusing some trick. I managed to get 4 with Dedede...Somehow...(Not like that's a lot...)

What are your flaws?
N0M, you reminded me... It's kind of related to my anti-social-ness, but I mumble, stutter, and mixed in with my extremely low voice (For my age, at least), basically no one can understand me. I almost always have to repeat things twice. I'm so used to hearing "What?" now...Only twice have I ever given a good oral presentation that people could understand. (And there's another flaw, I'm really shy...And hate public speaking...) I also can't stand failure. If you want to attack me sometime, just do it after I fail. It's partially because I'm so used to being right, and that's my reputation at school. When I get something wrong, I feel like my reputation goes down. That I'm not seen as smart anymore. So if you ever want to attack me, just do it after I fail. And...My temper. It was terrible a few years ago, better now though. I still get mad pretty easily, but what can you expect from a teen?

Haha oh wow, nostalgia.
Welcome back! You probably don't remember me...Well, your post count is still much higher than mine. Didn't lose any during the rollback, I guess. And I think you were banned for that map-thingy. You know, where each Tip.iter could enter their address and you could see on a global map where people lived. Or was that someone else? Anyway, I'm really regretful, so nostalgia reminds me of all the could have's, would have's, and should have's.

Nonetheless, he didn't post, and he could have very well done so considering he has two charity threads. ...That were long dead. Though remembered by many people. :| Anyway, just saying, I'm pretty sure I remember there being mass un-bannings before. Meaning the admins gave second chances to a lot of people. Why not give second chances to people that were banned before the rollback as well? (It depends on why people were un-banned before, I guess. I don't know if it was a technical reason or if the admins just felt like it) And Turtlefemm...While I agree that perfect English is not needed, and that there have been a lot of people who have English as a second/third/fourth/etc. language (I guess you could say I'm one of them...), I'm 90% sure that these guys are purposely typing like idiots. And they've been asked...I guess not very nicely though. #-o

People change though. For example, take Happysniff. Before this, he was the mega-troll. Agreed? Now, his posts contribute to the discussion. They're in proper grammar and spelling. Who knows if the same will happen to TheChamp/jbrulessd? Though there is a rule against pointlessly bumping old threads, which Jb did. However, I wouldn't say that's enough to deem a ban, but mixed in with spamming/trolling...Maybe. Let's let the admins/mods do their jobs though, it's not our call.

Yea, it's not like you can't play at other times. You can still post that you're going to be online and stuff, but having a specific time can help. And have fun on the plane, Kent! I'm already dreading it...Like 24 hours of traveling...

What are your flaws?
First and foremost, I'd say social skills. I'm better than most of my friends, but I still have no idea how to handle social situations. -.- Then there's also a lack of...Strength. Or fat. Depending on how you want to look at it. I'm not weak to the point of being able to be literally crushed, but I'm not strong at all. But then again, I'm quite agile (Supposedly) so that makes up for it. I also have absolutely no artistic talent. If the teacher actually knew who I was, I would have failed art this past year. It may not be entirely a flaw, but I'd say my curiosity as well. I'm too curious, I seek as much information as possible. Usually, this can make me smarter, but it often has some...Consequences... And my perfectionism/paranoia/OCD. Don't know what you would call it. Things have to be done a certain way, and like my curiosity there can be consequences. Oh, and the fact that my vision is rapidly decreasing. #-o

Consistent spamming? I'm pretty sure there's a rule against it... It depends what you count as spam though...I personally think those two guys are spamming, mods/admins might not though. But yea, there is no rule against being annoying. :|

Browser Games
Well, there was always Arenascape. I played that for so long...Had a pretty good mage, I think. I'm pretty sure the forum for it is still up. Then from that forum, I learned about Travian. There was a gigantic thread about it a while ago, don't know if it's still around. A lot of people here played...I personally sucked, but it was fun. It's historic-based, you choose from Roman, Gaul and Teuton. Then you build up your city, get more cities, etc. A similar game is Tribal Wars, which I played longer. It was fun for a while, but then it became too much of a hassle. I think there have been a few updates, but it's basically the same as Travian. However, the tribes (Alliances/guilds) are much more organized, wars are more organized, armies are bigger and stuff. Only one type of civilization though. Now this I was decent at, I was one of the top 500 on one world at one point.
