Revenge Stories
I wonder why... As for the manning up thing, who cares about formalities when you're fighting for your safety? If you get in a fight here by yourself, without a weapon, you're most likely screwed.

Contest: Write 30 000 words in 30 days
Hm. I need something to do over the summer. (Or at least what's left of it) This could be it... :-k Though I really doubt I could finish it that quickly, if at all. Could be worth a try...

Revenge Stories
You might want to read more carefully. I didn't ask my friends to defend me, they were doing it of their own volition. And it's called friendship, sticking up for each other.

Revenge Stories
Not really, he got what he deserved. Well if he bully people I agree that he got what he deserved, just don't take it too far. That's what revenge boils down to, doesn't it? Giving people what they deserve... Just thought of another time...Also involving Will. But mainly a kid named Kyle, and my friend David. Kyle was new at our school this past year, so he didn't have any friends. So he tried to make some...By fighting. I assumed that he fought to seem cool, fighting unpopular kids. He fought with David a few times early in the year, as well as some of my other friends. Then one day, in Phys. Ed., we were playing soccer/football. David's not a very popular guy, so people started to aim the ball at him, trying to hit him as hard as they could. Then they would jeer. Will gets the ball, then randomly kicks it, and hits David the face. The gym is filled with oohing and jeering, and David winds up a kick at Will. And hits him square in the [wagon]. Will collapses, the expression on his face was priceless. Anyway, Kyle heroically jumps in to defend the least popular kid in school (Will) by fighting David. Yep, that's definitely going to make him cooler. But it appeared that most people already hated Kyle. So once he jumped on David, 5 people jumped on him and pulled him off. The next day, I was still pissed at Kyle, and I wanted to test my theory once and for all. I'm considered a nerd/geek by most people, but I'm by no means unpopular. However, since Kyle was new, I wondered if he would know that, and would fight me because he thought I had no friends. So I played aggressive towards Kyle, "accidentally" kicking him, sticking to him the entire time. He finally turned around to face me...I got ready to defend myself, and saw my friends getting ready to pull him off me. But it never happened. We exchanged some words, then I decided to take an eye for an eye, and go after his friend the way he went after mine. For some reason I still can't comprehend, no one retaliated. I got away with it all, harsh as it may have been, but who knows...It might have boosted my reputation a bit?

Super Smash Bros. Brawl Discussion Thread!
Amazing. I'm still stuck on Very Hard, I'm pretty sure I can do it on Hard (RRoD doesn't one-hit, does it?), though I haven't tried. Duon is just annoying, it's even more annoying when you somehow end up on the other side of him. Sure, his ranged attacks won't hit, but you have to worry about staying on the stage, dodging (Kind of) and attacking. Otherwise, I've tried so many times that I can nearly all the bosses are easy. Once in a while, sure, I'll make a ton of mistakes (95% off Ridley...Heh...), but normally, on a good day I can get 5 or 6 kills without healing. I'm pretty sure I can do the rest of the challenges I have left, it's just a question of when. Of course, other than Boss Battles on Intense.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
I thought that said "Booger Eyebeams" at first. :uhh: I still think telekinesis would be awesome, but the ability to completely go rogue would be pretty cool too. I don't just mean invisibility, but also wiping out any sounds you would make or any scent you would have. Or...Any taste... #-o

Bud Tales- How'd you meet your friends?
Meh. I guess my best friends I met at church. We grew up together... :| As for my school friends, I met them at school. What a surprise. I have 8 friends that I consider to be really good friends, and we're all similar enough. Cliques formed in middle school, we ended up at the same lunch table, became friends, play games together all the time, etc. :geek: I've got a handful of other friends though, no idea how we became friends. I guess it was back in kindergarten when everyone liked everyone. Though I have a feeling it has something to do with them respecting my intelligence and me respecting their athletic skill.

...Might as well do this... Mine is on a randomizer, switches between ~70 official Lord of the Rings desktops off the official site. I guess I'll choose one each month... [hide=Legolas is looking at my icons!][/hide]

Revenge Stories
I can be quite harsh with revenge. I fight fire with fire, an eye for an eye. Or at least I claim to. No one has pissed me off enough yet though. -Long story starts here- Well. There's only been one person who kind of has. Will. Will and I were best friends throughout elementary school, into sixth grade. Then I made new friends, but he didn't really. Due to that, he decided to start to bully people and cause trouble. I still tried to be his friend, laughed at his jokes and all that...Then in seventh grade we backstabbed each other. First, everyone he was bullied by was tired of it. I was tired of it. So I decided to start fooling around with him at lunch...Took his lunchbox, while he was distracted, my friend would take his backpack, etc. One time, he "accidentally" hit me in the face with his lunchbox. Well...A few shoves and punches later, he was on the ground, my foot ready to kick him, and the assistant principal standing right next to us. He got in so much trouble...I didn't. I love my reputation. ;) Anyway, he started to try to hunt me down after that. Took every chance he could, except I was well alert of it...I've said it before, sometimes, in my mind, I simulate fights...Like what would happen if someone attacked me or something. So he never got a good chance. He tried to kick me, I rammed him into the wall. He tried to knee me in the balls, I tripped him. I shot him with a few pencils (With my good old pencil + rubber band bow...) for the fun of it, not to hurt him. Not like it did. Finally, it ended one day at lunch. One of my friends was drinking strawberry milk, sitting across from Will. Will grabs for my friend's milk, and my friend grabs the other end of it. They struggle...The cap somehow comes off, and then I whisper to my friend to let go. He does just that. Will goes flying back, the milk squirts all over him, on his face, down his shirt, and everyone is staring at him. And laughing. Now you probably think I'm cruel. Oh well.

Greatest Invention
A written language. Can't seem to remember what the first one was called, it was created by one of the Mesopotamian civilizations, I think. (Can't seem to remember which one either) That includes numerals (You know...Numbers...) too. Meaning math. Thus leading to calculators...Then computers. And books. The form of entertainment before TVs and computers... Though you would need something to write with. :-k

A world without internet
I would play single-player games. There's plenty of them. They might not be as good as multiplayer ones, but still. Otherwise, my friends would actually get phones. :o We'd hang out more, whether it be playing tennis or something, going to my friend's house to play Brawl or just getting together to talk. No more Xfire chatrooms... :| I'd have more time to play piano, and would be a lot better. Also, I'd exercise more...Something I really need to do...(I'm way too underweight) I would also read more...Still wouldn't really favor going outside. And then, to be really cliched, I would invent the internet. To be honest though, I've gone without internet for days before. (Oh...Wow...DAYS!??!?!) However, the only time it happened when I was at home (We had a bunch of thunderstorms, knocked out something...), I just played around with Photoshop. Yes...For four days in a row...I made some crazy map that I can't figure out anymore. :geek: If all forms of electrical entertainment were wiped out, I don't know what I'd do. I've gone on retreats (Camps with my youth group at church...We go to a campsite in the middle of nowhere...No computers, TVs, etc.) so I'd probably be able to handle it for a while, and then I'd adapt.

Weirdest Prank someone has ever done to you
One time, my sister wrote "Gullible" on a piece of tape and told me that the word gullible was on the ceiling. Having heard those so many times, I refused to look, as I thought it was a prank. I finally budged...And...AHhhhhhhhh! As for the desktop thing, last year, my Latin teacher often brought us to the computer lab. One time, I took a screenshot of the desktop, pasted into Paint, inverted the colors, and then set that as the background. Then I told her my computer was screwed up. Fun times...

E3 2008 | Discussion
...With the White Rider theme playing in the background? =P~ Sony's was by far the best, looks like this is the comeback of the PS3 that we've been waiting for. Now it looks like it can catch up to the Wii, and the 360 is probably going to be left in the dust. Originally, I was planning to get a 360 sometime, but I think that's going to change. And the reason Nintendo is releasing more things like Wii Music and Wii Sports 2 is because appealing to casual gamers has been successful. I mean, look at how many people have bought Wiis...Most of those people are casual gamers, so why wouldn't Nintendo want to keep releasing more casual gamers, and appeal to even more people? While I wish they would at least release a few good games for hardcore gamers, it makes sense to me. Though the fact that Microsoft is trying to copy them is annoying.

Oh, I recalled that you were a Mets fan, so I assumed you were from New York. Whatever, shouldn't make a huge difference...Tennessee is closer to you though? I probably won't be able to play tonight (All-star game...) but I should be available most of the day tomorrow.

I'm on the east coast Fool, in Massachusetts. You're in New York, right? So it shouldn't be too bad. I don't know if you've added me though, I'm pretty sure I've added you.

E3 2008 | Discussion
It may be my inner fanboy, but it sure looks like Nintendo has the most surprises in store. And those that have said "Eh, Brawl and Mario Kart came out, no more good games for the Wii", well...Might want to rethink that. Wii Speak looks like it'll help Wifi on the Wii catch up the online of 360s and PS3s, Wii Music and Wii Sports Resort are definitely going to be more hits among casual gamers, and the new Animal Crossing looks quite good, though I haven't really played any of the past ones. However, like Skate said, not really anything for hardcore gamers...Typical Nintendo, I guess. Though they might be saving it for upcoming days...Hopefully... I personally think Microsoft is using that new interface seriously to be more like the Wii...After noticing the Wii's success, they want to have success too, with their 360. It may or may not work, probably won't... And the Lord of the Rings: Conquest looks awesome...This is definitely my fanboyness screaming out, but whatever, sounds like a great game. And the fact that they're using the epic music from the movies is awesome.

Ignoring works... they say.
Heh, sounds like something I almost did. One time, while I was waiting in line to pay for my lunch (At school). The biggest bully in the school (Whom basically all my friends hate) starts to pick on a few of us, and in my head, I'm contemplating what would happen if a fight broke out. Well, I thought about shoving my lunch in his face. It was meatloaf and mashed potatoes... :| But really, I didn't. Kind of glad I didn't. Though I did find out that my friend shoved his face (The bully's) into the water fountain. Though this just shows...If you're desperate enough, you'll find a way.

Oh...MY....POAUSFO)MR*SA(pjisalgu Okay. So. I checked online, Kent was on, that was it. Wasn't in the mood for a laggy 1v1 in which I would get completely obliterated. So I played a few brawls against the computer...Then I tried Boss Battles. I normally do better when I'm tired, for some reason, so I hoped something interesting would happen. Well. After the first two fights, I was at 100%+. Ow. I thought I was screwed. I fought the next two without taking a heart, as yes, my hand slipped...Managed to kill them. Healed up, killed the next five with no problem. So now I'm on Tabuu. 0%. I played defensive, focusing more on dodging than attacking. I get barely any damage in and he starts up the RRoD. I think "Oh boy...", and I run off the side to a good place. I spot dodge all three. I was amazed. I was just like...Wtf...My senses came back to me, I started to attack him. He did that laser attack where his head gets really big, and I got a ton of hits in. Nearly dead. He turns back to normal, I'm at like 40%, but one more hit and he's done. Of course, one more hit on me and I'm done. So...He sends out that yellow box thingy to capture me, I jump so I can air dodge. I swear I did, as I have tons of times before...But no. He gets me. I'm dead. He has barely any HP left. I'm pissed. I'm tired. Ah. End of rant.

SERIOUSLY!? Seriously. Why do you think his message on Brawl says "Kent is Japanese"? When he gets back there should be no lag. Or will there...?!?!? :uhh: Kent, how long are you staying in Japan? I'm going to Taiwan in a few weeks, I might bring my Wii. If you're still there at the time, I want to try playing you...They aren't that far apart, so I want to see if there's lag at all. (Though I probably won't be bringing it, doubt my mom would let me take my laptop and Wii.) I haven't played in a few days, this is becoming quite common. I need to start playing again. Anyone on?

Beijing 2008
It's like the World Cup, to be honest...During the World Cup, countries divided by civil wars unite to play together, politics are forgotten and all that matters is the game(s). I'll be watching...I know people that are going to the actual thing, I'll be watching it live on TV probably, while most of you guys are halfway across the world and will have to stay up all night to see some parts. (Unless they specially find good times for the entire world) Yay for my trip to Taiwan. (And...There it is. A reason I should be boycotting, I suppose. I mean, Taiwan doesn't exactly like China, but meh...The Olympics are fun? Politics shouldn't be considered when thinking about it.)

Ah, I wished I saved up some pictures. I didn't bother saving them as I assumed I would never get the chance to transfer them to my computer, but apparently my dad has a SD card he says I can have. :o So yeah. There were plenty of good ones. What a pity. I'll get some soon though. Epic ones. (There was one of two Pikachus taunting - Up taunt, I think - though it would be a bit inappropriate. Just try it yourself... :uhh: )

Teen Decapitated At Six Flags
While the way he died may have been slightly amusing, the actual death isn't. Likewise with all these Darwin Award winners, the fact that they died isn't funny at all, but the methods they died by are. I have a bit of sympathy for this kid, but it's mainly for the family and friends.

Children growing up to fast?
I agree, and it's also that there is more to want nowadays. Especially with video games. A while ago, there were no video games for children to want. Now, there are...And there are a lot. And children want video games a lot. And they're getting them. Children are being more spoiled and spoiled as the years go by, I'm pretty sure it's a fact. Back when my sister was in middle school, she got her first cell phone, and it was a crappy one. Cracked screen, no games, no camera, she only got it because she had to stay after school a lot of the time for some play. Now, I see elementary school students with cell phones. And really good cell phones too, I'm willing to bet more than half of them are better than mine. It doesn't stop with cell phones either, I'm sure a ton of children got their Wii/360/PS3 long before I got mine. Meh, I guess you could even say it happens in my grade, basically everyone has some console, some good phone, some good clothes, etc. I could go on and on with my rant about kids being way more spoiled now than in the past, I think I wrote an essay about it not too long ago. Anyway. With that aside, the world has changed. Companies are targeting at young children more and more. And children are buying into it, asking their parents for stuff, and how could you say no to cute little Johnny? In my opinion, the average age of parents is dropping, and young parents have absolutely no idea of discipline. They're simply too young, not ready to handle a child, as in a way, they aren't done with their childhood yet. #-o I'm simply ranting here, I have no idea what this has to do with the topic. I actually have no idea what the original topic was, but apparently it's changed into kids being spoiled? Or was that it...Anyway, my views may be extremely different from yours, I live in a different place, different things happen and we've had different experiences.

Out your backdoor
Wow. That's beautiful. I personally love looking at landscape and nature... Here, it's not really that special. I have a picture of the neighborhood covered in snow after a blizzard, I'll get that up later. Otherwise, the only kind of special thing is in fall/autumn. That's the only time of the year where it looks quite nice, if you ever want to come to Boston/Massachusetts/New England, fall is the time to do so. Though I only have a few pictures of my backyard during the fall on this computer. I'll find more tomorrow... [hide=Fall] Yes. That is a coyote. Yes. We keep a coyote in our backyard. Seriously, that year there was a huge amount of coyotes in this area, they were all over the place.[/hide]

Attention all Offtopic Users...Project Offtopic is Underway
Meh, I remember when I signed up there were three options - Over 13, 13 without parental consent, and 13 with parental consent. I guess it's changed. But anyway, I understand the G-rated thing now, thanks. And yeah, I agree with it, while PG[-13] content should be allowed, not every topic should be like that. The majority of topics should be G, though no consequences should be given to anyone who posts PG stuff, possibly PG-13 stuff. Or am I completely missing the point...
